YMCA win yet more titles! The Under 11s win the play off with Fleetwood Gym and the U17s beat Gym, too, to clinch the U17s League title.

Championship Play-Off:

UNDER 11s:

YMCA 5 FLEETWOOD GYM 1

After winning the South Region Championship and the Hogan Cup YMCA completed a brilliant ‘treble’ by collecting the main title trophy against North Region champions Gym at Ballam Rd last Sunday.

They had the edge from the start and took and 8th minute lead through Keiran S. YMCA then dominated the remainder of the half with some excellent football and netted twice more before the interval to go in at half time with a 3-0 lead. YMCA continued the 2nd half where they left off in the 1st period and always looking lively and dangerous in attack and two more goals were added before Gym grabbed a consolation goal in the closing minutes.

Keiran S notched a 2nd of the game to finish with a tally 77 of goals for the season with Tyler D, Dan L and Linus W all on target also. Andy C and Harvey R were both notable in an excellent team display. This was YMCA 29th league and cup game of the season and all finished up in victories with 195 goals scored with only 13 conceded.

UNDER 17s:

YMCA JUNIORS 4 FLEETWOOD GYM 0

This victory against Gym at Seafield Rd clinched YMCA the League Championship. They were on top throughout the 1st half and goals by Sam T, Jordan D and Jordan H eased them into a 3-0 lead at half time.

They continued to have the upper hand after the restart and added one further goal through Dan H which completed a comfortable victory and an excellent final season in the BDYFL before they join the Preston LEP League’s Youth Section next season.
