I'm gonna make your life so sweet (yeah yeah yeah)
Cold Tuesdays in February eh? Always a favourite. Just when your spring wardrobe was being dusted off, back come the frost, the hail and the snow. Memories of freezing Easter holidays in icy caravans come flooding back. Deep joy.
I've been alive forever
Monday morning, feeling fine. Hope your weekend was a corker - I spent a lot of it in the cinema eating weekend snacks (calories don't count ) and watching Hidden Figures (fantastic) and Manchester by the Sea (brilliant and well deserved Oscar for Casey Affleck).
It keeps me stable for days
Well a good Friday greeting to you, the cool groovers of the Radio 2 Drivetime blog. A weekend on the way and if I have any plans, I can’t remember what they might be. Maybe I should have diary-ed them, or told someone or something. So when stuff happens, guests turn up or enquiring calls as to ...
Stayed in bed all mornin' just to pass the time.
And a very good morning to you too. Porridge has been taken (3 toppings) coffee too and so all seems fine (apart from Doris banging and rattling outside). Hatches battened, even if we Londoners won’t be feeling the full force of her ire. What a splendid but rarely used word that is. From middle ...
Ain't got time for nothing else
The de-caff is tasting good this morning (can't tell the difference now) and we have a former Eagle to talk to. This is Wednesday in all its loveliness. A few things to attend to first, including a chat with Gillian Anderson but then get to 5pm and its downhill to the weekend already.

I'm floating in a beam of light with you
Oh hey. We had a Drivetime outing last night, Bobbie’s birthday and everything. Nice food, great company and home by 10.30pm! That is how rocknroll we are these days. It’s nice to have time for a cup of tea before the smoking jacket and slippers arrives don’t you find? And is that a dawn chorus...
O' beautiful, for spacious skies
Well hello there! This is how my Blue Peter annuals always started so I’ll try it too. Hello there! Then there was a Bleep and Booster cartoon, some pictures of John Noakes undertaking some extreme task, a recipe and hopefully a smiling Lesley Judd looking sparkly and glam.
It's antiseptically clean
Wednesday greetings, hump day, mild temperatures, off to a screening, all good. Back to normal today after yesterday’s love extravaganza! The whole point of charts is of course to spark debating it’s fair to say the love chart has done that. I thought the redefining of love songs was rather ref...
