Well a good Friday greeting to you, the cool groovers of the Radio 2 Drivetime blog. A weekend on the way and if I have any plans, I can’t remember what they might be. Maybe I should have diary-ed them, or told someone or something. So when stuff happens, guests turn up or enquiring calls as to my whereabouts as the dinner party started ages ago, that’ll be the reason.
I do know there’s no film show for me as my co-worker insists on having more time off than me, so I have plenty of time to prepare for the ARF. (You’d be surprised…) We kick off with a mighty 1979 chosen as the year of requirement. Milk is 15p a pint, Seb Coe sets new record for the mile at 3 minutes 48.95 seconds and we bid farewell to To The Manor Born with an unbelievable 23.95 million viewers.At the movies it’s Kramer Vs Kramer, Apocalypse Now and Alien. And on your radio? Who wants a fab piece of 70s disco/new age/old cheesy pop?
