Saw marigolds upon my eider down
What ho! It's a fabulous Friday already. Lots of celebrating going on for Radio 2's and Radio 1's 50th...
But tonight I am Nantucket bound
Hey. Thursday dawns damp and cloudy with a hint of cardigan. Hope you enjoyed Mr Essex last night, ol' twinkly eyes was on fine form I thought.
Esta es la leyenda de Xanadu
Back door open! Birds are singing! Love these autumn days. Every day without a scarf is a triumph. I was sorely tempted to ask permission to take my new confessions prop home.
Some guys were shooting pool yeah
All good (ish) how about you? I think you have to agree that the Goldfish Club chat was pretty extraordinary. A pretty exclusive membership that spends the rest of their lives feeling lucky/fortunate/blessed and grateful for the expertise of their rescuers.

Oh hey. Good weekend y'all? Beautiful autumnal days here, sunshine, warmth and spiderwebs agogo. And then rain later, obviously, but by then I wasn't complaining. A few late rogue birthday treats here and there too!
The things we said today
Phew, made it. Friday at last. That was all fun. Thanks for the birthday wishes yesterday, all appreciated. I followed Nigel's chilli con carne with a birthday pizza of fine proportions. Enough bread in one day to last me till I'm thirty nine. Two remaining challenges for the voice. Movies first...
Lonesome sue, she's in love with ol'Sam
Wahayy! Swinging from the rafters here! In glorious tip-top condition for my birthday today with an early run, a kale and carrot energy drink, a rousing gym trip featuring circuits, weights and cardiovascular workouts.
Tum-ti-tum
Warm radiators here. I'm poorly, it's allowed. Enjoyed the Baddiel chat-so many stories! No one else I can think of would cut into our conversation with a Gina G story of his own. David's books are likely to be number one for quite a while yet I think.
Yo Ho Ho, bottles of rum etc
Oh well made it after all. A few handkerchief dabs and non-stop consumption of lozenges enabled the show to carry on pretty much as usual. The wasp confession was chosen deliberately for 1) being funny and so therefore 2) having long laughter-induced pauses enabling emergency dabbing.
Paging Dr Footlights...
First cold of the Autumn and I'm already feeling sorry for myself. Child 3 brings home the latest germs and shares them round generously. Cue a day and a half of snivelling, dabbing, sneezing and generally being obnoxious. I think all will be ok for the show but you never know.
