Paging Dr Footlights...

First cold of the Autumn and I'm already feeling sorry for myself. Child 3 brings home the latest germs and shares them round generously. Cue a day and a half of snivelling, dabbing, sneezing and generally being obnoxious. I think all will be ok for the show but you never know. I'm sure our book club author Maja Lunde will be thrilled to enter our germ den. Maja is from Norway and her international best seller is The History of Bees. Three interweaving stories from 1851, 2007 and 2098, each telling of our dependence on bees and what happens when they disappear. There's a chapter here if you fancy getting ahead of us.

And oldies today led by the return of First Dates tonight, the Channel 4 dating show. So FIRST DATE tunes please!
