Also fab ter meet/ see so many fellow bloggers and celebs up close.... From Shane Ritchie who seesm very a friendly bloke ter popping outside for abitta fresh air and relaising i'm standing next ter John Culshaw... But celeb wise 'ighlight of the day for me meeting Spice Girl Mel C!!!!!!!!!!!

Always like Mel C being a fellow scouser and our birthday's only 2 days apart and I work only one mile from where she was born/ raised.... Really wish we I could 'ave 'ad more time ter chat to Mel C... She is one the most friendly down ter earth celebs out there!!!!!!!!!!

Also a BIG 'ighlight was meeting Bobby Prior at last!!!!!!!

Didn't see 'er all day so decided ter take SERIOUS action and 'ead upstairs ter see if she was about.... She was and a nice friendly chat was 'ad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



But at the end of the dee 'ave ter remind myself the main reason for being there was 'elping children some of who are VERY sick and ill!!!!!!!

Last year the 'ighest amount I took from a caller was £100!!!!

Kept 'earing stories of £1000 or more with other callers!!!!!!!!!!

This year a blew that outta the phone sockets.... In fact when a very well spoken posh lady rang up who possibly could 'ave connections with 'er majesty.... At first a thought a misheard what she was saying!!!!!!!!!!

Eventually it sank in and after repeating the amount a few times.... Well it was so big we can't take more than a quid under 10k.... So a took 'er number and details and went off ter see The Boss of the gig!!!!!!!!!!

Children In Need is one totally fine and wonderful annual event that brings together poor people, rich people, celebrity people, non celebrity people, DJ-ing GODS, people who wanter be Dj's but who don't 'ave a silky slick voice, people from all over the UK, from business leaders ter ordinary workers.... AND all for giving their time for FREE with the ones donating not giving their time or for free but taking the time ter feel free ter give as much as they could!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#53 Wow, that was some donation Bingo!!! The biggest one I received was £1,500 but it wasn't just the size of the amounts being quoted that was humbling but also the experiences that callers wanted to share of why they were donating to Children in Need. And I agree with you about Mel C - she was lovely.

Hello fellow poppets! It's been a while. Crazy work commitments and some sad events have kept me away. Children In Need happily coincided with deadline day so hopeful that things will calm down and I can do a bit more joining in. Can only reiterate what has already been said about Friday. Well, that wasn't what I expected today!. A friend came round as she has a couple of days off work and my lovely Mr (who went Xmas shopping today :0/!) said that if we fancied lunch, he would set up a tab at our local hostelry, and we could charge lunch to him!

im not a jo fan shes 2 radio 1 for me.sw will be around 4 ever its the most listerned to radio show in the afternoons,i think jo wonts 2 be on 6 music she keeps plugging the show thats on after her before mentioning whats on next on radio 2,it seems she wonts people to turn over instead of staying on radio 2.

#71 I'm not especially a Jo Whiley fan either, although I don't mind her. I don't think she has a choice about which other shows she has to advertise. Steve isn't everyone's cup of tea, but he is still very popular. And the great thing about Radio 2 is its variety - it would be boring if all the presenters were the same. There are always alternatives.
