Hmmm, my enjoyment of the Olympics has been somewhat soured, by the attitude of those who regard the paralympians as a poor second to what some dub 'The Proper Olympics'. There will be no individual Royal Mail stamps for gold medal winners (due to expected number of gold medallists) I tweeted Simon, to ask if Drivetime would be broadcasting from any of the Paralympic events. He didn't reply, and I'm assuming not, which is a shame (to say the least) after all the coverage there has been in the last couple of weeks.



O.K rant over, I don't expect anyone else to share my sentiments, but there it is.

#21 - Zoe - one thing to bear in mind is that the BBC is not the official broadcaster for the Paralympics (at least not on TV - that goes to Channel 4), so that could explain the (lack of) response.

I'm sure C4 will do a fine job of their presentation and we ought to show the same kind of support as for the 'real' Games, but I'm sure we will be suffering from burnout by then.

I watched the last episode of Blockbusters last night. I really hope there is a new series. Great entertainment. I particularly liked Simon's reaction to the contestant who spoke to spirits or some such thing.

#40 Nadia Common Madchick - I suppose it's easier to run the Olympics and Paralympics alongside each other, from an organisational etc point of view. But it means that the Paralympics do tend to be side-lined after the "main" event is over.



Amelia - I'm not keen on the website revamp, or the new jingles either. I don't know why things have to be continually faffed around with. I suppose there's the rubbish about refreshing the brand etc, but it all seems a bit 'money for old rope' to me. And, how come 'new and improved' products are seldom, or never, better than the originals?

Laura Trott's my star of the games. How could anyone see her delight on the screen without breaking into a silly grin themselves? Impossible! The air was a shade of blue when the slow traffic aftermath of an accident (no major casualties) meant I got indoors about 90 seconds after she crossed the line yesterday teatime.
