#60 Looking at the map, I suspect it will be going within a hundred yards of my house too, or three miles depending on which route they take. I might go and light a roll of newspaper off it and get an Olympic barbecue going.

Had a look in next door [Evansblog] .. how sad to see that CE has only posted once in a week and then that was just to re-affirm his faith in his team - which is all well and good and I know he's a busy man nowadays - but his contributions used to be so very interesting, thoughtful and sharing. I lurked around that blog for years and years - they had SO much fun. It was a joy to read.

This morning - there is only the one response.



If anyone links from R2 Homepage to Chris's blog they'd be forgiven for thinking that the whole notion of 'DJblogs/listenersrespond' is in terminal decline.

I just don't bother to tune in. So I wonder if he needs a gentle reminder of where the priority lies? I wonder if he's losing a bit of focus on the show? I know he's still gaining listeners, but he has lost this one for four out of five days a week, so who knows where the next set of figures will be.

#75 La mere de Lucy....blimey, missed that. Radcliffe must have been SOOOOO excited - he's a major fan. I will be finding a more convenient time this evening to listne, as so am I. The second disk from her Ariel album, the last one, is my most played disk of the last ten years and is absolutely beautiful. B&BMaximus learned to drive to it, and it is his favourite too. Highly recommended.

B&B - I liked Ariel, and will always regret that Ms Bush is so nervous about going out on the road. Having ticked Mr Plant off the list last year I think Kate is now at the top of my "regret never having seen live" list. It was a rare treat when BBC3 or 4 dug out the very old Christmas special with Peter Gabriel as the special guest a while back. Such a shame that she won't do it, although if she did I suppose it would have to be the o2 to pack everyone in.

Re: The CLP debate. I loved the show when it first started at breakfast - I found it quite invigorating and a great way to start the day - I'd find myself driving to work with a smile on my face. A wee while ago tho', I realised I was getting quite cross with CLP and wasn't smiling at all on the way to work, don't know what went wrong, he just wasn't doing it for me. Having said that I have had a couple days of smiliness in the last week so I'm staying tuned in the hope he's back on track again.

#81 - Ken...When The Kick Inside was released, Kate Bush did a promotion at HMV in Manchester whereby if you went and bought it you got a kiss off her. I was eighteen....and didn't get there in time! She only did that one tour didn't she, but there are numerous Youtubes of her on the various Secret Policeman's Ball shows that she did, and a number of TOTP kind of performances around Hounds of Love. But I would far rather see her now than back in 1978/9/80 - her voice has matured so much as has her writing, that now would be THE time to see her live. The second disk (the first one I like, but only "like") of Ariel is so beautifully conceived. I also ADOOOOORRRRRRE what she did for the Northern Lights movie, the soundtrack song "Lyra".... best thing about the whole film!
