I must admit, I was surprised at how easy it was to do it online. I was expecting (based on previous experience of government websites) that it would be overloaded and very slow to respond, but it wasn't, and it only took about 10 minutes altogether to enter it for our household (2 people).

During BBC's flagship Five Live Friday film programme, Simon Mayo said that he was wearing make-up, because he and Mark Kermode were being filmed for the Five Live ads. That evening, Gabby Logan and Victoria Derbyshire featured in this ad, immaculately dressed, but no sign of Drs Mayo and Kermode. Why were these two gentlemen not allowed screen-time, when in an earlier ad, a dishevelled, unshaven, slovenly, vest-wearing Richard Bacon was deemed appropriate?

For the life of my I can't remember what it's called but pretty sure it was on the CODA label so a new-age sort of feel to it.



Having said that, I can't see anything on his discography on his website that jumps out at me and says "that's the one". So maybe I'm just going crazy :-)

#68 - The answer about Q17 only applies to the England & Wales version of the census form. Q17 is a question on the welsh language version but not on the English one. They wanted to keep consistent numbering on the two versions of the form for the subsequent questions therefore that's why it's blank.

#68 Hello Mo :) As I understand it (from a Welsh friend) Q:17 on the census was for Welsh people to say if they spoke Welsh, or not! I thought there might be an equivalent one for Scotland and Gaelic, but if yours didn't have it, then I don't know :/

I am enjoying the 30 Day Song Challenge too :)



I like to see what songs everyone else chooses, as well as thinking of suitable song choices myself. I think I might struggle with a few of the days though, like a song that makes you feel guilty??? Not sure any songs make me feel like that to be honest. It is hard choosing just one song too, because I don't really do favourites as a rule. I had it down to three choices for favourite song, and finally plumped for 'Life On Mars' David Bowie, because no matter how many times I hear that song, I still love it as much as I did the first time I ever heard it.

#90 I'm struggling with a few as well. A song that I play when I'm angry? - I very rarely get angry - Ms Reasonableness, that's me. And I really struggled with the favourite song too, as it's nigh on impossible to pick just one. For one thing, it depends on my mood at the time.

I agree with Zoe, as I assume everyone does, that it's very difficult to choose a favourite song. I settled for Al Stewart's "Time Passages" because it seems to me that, whenever something really good has been happening in my life, that song has been there; and I never tire of it.

Slightly off topic (but what the hell!): is anyone watching Nurse Jackie?

#94 I started watching the first series of Nurse Jackie, but I found the character rather annoying, so I gave up on it. I keep thinking about giving it another try though...

#95 I've stuck with it, Zoe. I think the writing is superb. Language is a little strong which I know may offend some people.



Anyone who has been a 'patient' in a hospital would have appreciated Saturday's episode. And it featured a line from Rodgers & Hart's 'Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered' and they played out with Ella Fitzgerald's rendition - so not completely off topic :-)

#96 I may well revisit it at some point, because I like other 'Showtime' productions like 'Dexter'. Strong language and gore don't bother me at all, as long as it is all in context and not just thrown in for cheap thrills.



I do like it when TV shows (and Films) make good use of great music though :) Although some songs can be ruined forever if used badly (as we discussed on Facebook) X Factor has murdered some great songs for me!



I was listening to Tears For Fears yesterday whilst I was busy in the kitchen, and 'Head Over Heels' came on. That song will forever make me think of the film Donnie Darko now, great song used in a great film!

Will we not even make the #100 by 5 :(

#97 Zoe, if you have time, try to catch Saturday's episode on iplayer. Anyone who has kids and has sent them to school with a cut would empathise with Jackie and her husband.



I agree about music in films and TV shows. I mentioned last week how the inappropriate use of the Cars' "Drive" for Live Aid ruined that one for me. I never seem to feel ambivalent about the way the music is used; it's great or terrible, never in between.

I've mostly been busy, but the three minute thing definitely has a slowing effect.
