#47 No, I didn't read the instructions either! But I just figured that if the on-line site was accepting submissions now, then it would be o.k. I would recommend filling it in on-line too because the paper form has 32 pages but it didn't seem as long on-line (depends how many people are living in your household too though)

Wilson Phillips and ZZ Top, along with many others, all did different songs called Give It Up.

Thin Lizzy and Marvin Gaye sang songs called Got To Give It Up.



Rory McGrath is very particular about the contents of a cornish pasty.

#80 - I love north Cumbria Harry, and the Eden valley. So much nicer than crawling around the central lakes. Penrith one of my favourite towns in Britain, and the Bluebell Bookshop clearly the second best bookshop in the region!!! Not been up for a year or so - do you know if Bluebell was sold fairly recently?

Haven't been able to play on here again. Mr 39 (38 actually) the very fit multiple sport participant managed to tear some ligaments crossing a road. This has led to taxi services to hospital and work and lots of fetching and carrying at home.



The Big Girl must have discussed Lent at school yesterday. She said she was going to give up her favourite chocolate pudding then changed her mind to green beans. This morning she announced she is giving up Easter Eggs for Lent. This is probably some logic in there.

Harry, our cottage near Ambleside suffered a burst water main this winter. So one new kitchen and replacement flooring later, we shall be going up at the end of this month to make sure that everything is ok for the Summer season.

I have given up giving things up for Lent. I have in the past given up sugar in coffee and tea (in consecutive years) and not taken them up again when it was over. Giving up alcohol for Lent wasn't quite so successful... In any case, I'm going to be on holiday before Lent is over, and it would be a shame to have to remain abstemious while I'm in the City that never sleeps ;o)



Personally, I think it's far better to do what the 'Pause for Thought' person was suggesting on CLP's show this morning - to take up something for Lent. Going to go and have a think about that one.
