Can still see the strings though
Late blog again, this is getting a habit. A tardy new year indeed.
A challenging school run today. A casual observation/whinge about pot holes not being mended led to a full blown attempted explanation of why councils and government have no money left. Robert Peston where are you when needed? They soon tired of my reasoned and balanced explanation. I think they wanted to me to blame the bankers. Or referee Howard Webb. Or Voldemort. Without someone easy to blame, they got bored. As do a lot of people.
Celeb overload today. Recording a chat with Matt Le Blanc and Stephen Mangan today for their new series 'Episodes' which started last night. Then it's Paul McKenna with his latest project I Can Make You Happy. 'Oh really?' you might be thinking, that depends on why I'm unhappy but Paul will explain at 6. Then I record a piece with Nicole Kidman for her new film Rabbit Hole. I know, it's a tough life. You'll hear the Nicole and Matt/Stephen interviews soon.
And those new Thunderbirds/Captain Scarlett/Joe90 stamps look magnificent. So let's do PUPPETS today on the oldies please. You know what to do.
Have an uplifting and supported Tuesday, see you after 5.

These tardy blogs are just no good for me, Simon, as it means I can't take part till I get to my coffee break. Maybe you need a new alarm clock? And be very careful interviewing Paul McKenna. I remember him appearing on an early episode of Top Gear, and he hypnotised Richard Hammond so that he couldn't remember how to drive a car. ;o)
And as I'm late all the best puppet tunes seem to have already been suggested. But I don't think anyone's had:
BROKEN STRINGS by James Morrison
BROKEN DOLL by Paloma Faith

Probably unwarranted - but I was desperate to find it. I had to go rummaging back in Katy's old wardrobe ..

Alex, Congrats on the extension.
#51 Paul, Please DON'T stop blogging. I would miss you.
Struggling with all the name changes. Several new little ones and mums at the Big Girl's school last week and can't get the hang of their names even though (unlike the blog) I have faces to put them to. I will get there in the end.
It's funny kids' TV programmes have come up today. The reason I am late is because I took the Little Girl to see "the happy little fellow all dressed in red and yellow". Does anyone know who he is? (No, it isn't KatyMac's cousin Ronald). Several of the songs on the little fellow's soundtrack are sung by the legend that is Brian Cant.
Have a good afternoon.x
