Glad that Christmas in the Mayo household went to plan - did you try any Rauchen Bier (smoked ale). Bit like drinking a bonfire, but nice nonetheless!



We too did games: Operation, Ludo, Scrabble (on FB!), a bit of Wii and bit of DS, and last night I had an urge to do a jogsaw, so logged on to a jigsaw website (where else!?) and ordered a 1970s Retro Toys jigsaw, 1000 pieces. I hope it arrives before I lose the urge to jig!



Also, weighed myself this morning and have only managed to gain 2lbs over the last 2 weeks, so quite pleased with that too. Back to swimming/yoga this week.



Yes, normality resumes at ChezNic.

Managed a mensh of my own under an alias this evening. I was a 3 worder before 5.30 with Tree Still Up. All other decs undecked though.

What a brilliant show and all topped off with one of my all time favourite Roxy Music songs. Now I know what Billie must feel like when she has more than one of her tunes played. Must be on the same wavelength as the Nice Young Man tonight!



I might have paid more attention in Science had I a teacher like Prof Brian Cox!;-) However both offspring are both studying sciences at University- must have inherited their fathers brains!





Don't recall Chicken Licken, my children loved Hairy MacClary from Donaldson's Dairy when they were small! I do miss the bedtime storytime, as I could also relive my childhood by reading The Faraway Tree. My Dad read it to me and my grandparents read it to him. Well done on your 3 worder Julia.

Mcw again, thanks for the congrats. An unexpected one. The Farraway Tree was one of my favourites too. In fact the only books I would have on the shelf next to my childhood bed were Enid Blyton ones. We haven't progressed from Noddy yet but rest assured the girls will be introduced to plenty more of her works.
