Linkedin is a professional networking site and gives people an opportunity to connect with people in similar industries and roles and with recruiters etc. You can use it to find out who is recruiting, join groups that share info on particular industries and generally promote your professional life.



As a contractor, I find it invaluable as it does enable me to stay in touch with a wide range of organisations.



For instance, you could do a search on your particular industry sector and find out which companies are in your area. From there, you can find out who works at those companies and contact them directly.

#58 Slow and gentle, ypu'll never look back. Use best quality cling film and wrap it well. The initial quick sear and the finishing off in butter are essential to the taste, and don't season until the final flourish. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo stress-free cos if you forget about it for an hour or so, it makes absolutely no difference. Now that's Magic!

Slow cooked-meat - gonna have to agree with you on this, Spike, much as I try to be original or contrary :).

Have done a lot of this type of cooking - began in cold weather.



oven on ---- warms up kitchen, dining end of which, houses my officy place

warm oven --- put something in it that smells good

good smells --- glass of vino



Downside - too much vino whilst enjoying aromatic ambience.

Upside - lamb shanks to die for

#87, lamb shank, sear all over for a minute, nice low oven (100 degrees) or electric slow cooker (a must have item IMHO), crush the star anise and rub in with a little tomato puree, pour on the litre of coke with a lamb stock cube for seasoning and cook away for four to five hours until it falls off the bone. Serve with green beans, mustard mash and Merlot.
