Glad much fun was had at Harry Potter - I'm totally with you on the sense of him growing up at the same pace as your family. My boys are also of the age - although inevitably #3 has been subjected to more blood and guts and violence and dark arts than we would have ever considered for the others at his tender age.

I am very upset.



I have just had my weekly catch up with my boss and I reminded him that I was out of the office next Friday as I was volunteering for CiN. Would you believe it, he told me Pudsey isn't real!!!! I said that he would be telling me there is no Easter Bunny or Father Christmas next and he gave me a funny look.



At least I was able to tell him that there IS a Tooth Fairy and I am friends with her, so there.



I want to go home now.

Just back, heard most of the show, very good.

The wind has died down. It's nothing like last night which was quite frightening. The wood-burning stove has been lit and the little lights have been on. The cats are safely in and we have been warm & snuggly.



I played well tonight after last night's fiasco.



We enjoyed some telly - QI and Paul O'Grady but we're both tired - we were yesterday and more so - today so sleep beckons.



And it was Egg & Chips!

Good Morning Each! Hope the weekend finds you all fine and dandy. And I hope all of your endeavours, whether leisurely or otherwise, are met with fruitful accord.



As for me, I am taking a little time off from the shop, to do some decorating in the flat above (home). Now, having previously been employed in the manufacture of paint, I normally detest working with the said stuff, but today I am rather chuffed to have this opportunity, as it means that our building work and alterations are finally showing signs of attaining our goals. Whoop and whoo! Pity Spike has largely disappearred, he could have given me a few tips.



Post Script. If anyone else has any building work they need doing, I can HIGHLY recommend the firm we have used. Top notch in every aspect.

I have a Nicething to tell.



We started feeding the birds again when the clocks went back. We do it every year through the winter. We get the usual suspects - various tits, chaffinches, blackbirds, robins etc.



Well, yesterday and today we've had a Woodpecker at the bird table, hanging upside down eating peanuts and fat ball.



Our books tell us A Greater Spotted Woodpecker - and a male because of a red spot on the back of his head. He's rather handsome.

Looks like we have a jumping blog, it is almost as if it has hic-cups!



Well, I have spent most of the day in the garden with Mr Mcw. Clearing up the leaves that fell during the stormy weather in the week. It is really lovely that the weather has calmed down for the weekend. I have also got both my children home from University, the dog is really loving all the extra attention and fuss. Woodpeckers are fascinating, aren't they Billie? We have a green woodpecker who makes an almost tropical bird sound when he takes off.



Off to a village curry and quiz night tonight.

Morning all!!



We came down to the bolt hole on Friday night. Took us 2 hours to do a journey that isnormally 50 minutes. Mullets, rain and roadworks.



Lovely to wake up here yesterday. The colours this autumn have just been glorious. Had a nice chilled day and enjoyed Neil Diamond last night.



Some pottering round the village this morning then back to London. Was going to go to church but we share a vicar with another village and he is doing the service there. Left it too late to walk there.

Yes MTF, have been listening to Radio 2 on and off most of the day, and am starting to get serious butterflies now!! I wonder if any of the guests will be popping in the 'phone rooms like they have been today!



Billie, I loved JW on Drivetime. He is another brilliant interviewer like Mr Mayo and also knows his stuff. Yes, I did read and enjoy his book, he comes across as a really lovely man.
