Well done BLTD on being first. Is Katij having a lie in this morning, where is she?



From the previous blog I just want to remind the ARF Opener choosing peeps of BIG KEV WILLIAMS'S choice of WHATEVER YOU WANT by STATUS QUO. He's having a bit of a stress laden time at the mo and this might just make him smile. Fingets crossed.



However, if you can't find it in your heart to play Kev's choice, would you perhaps choose BOYS OF SUMMER by DON HENLEY. I think I may have requested it before but haven't heard it in a while so it's a must on a day like this. My younger boy (who is totally gorgeous by the way) is going off for the weekend to dads' camp with my lovely friend's very kind husband, their 3 gorgeous children and a whole host of other families. My elder boy (who is also totally gorgeous) is on his way back from spending time hillwalking with his dad and is thrilled to have bagged himself a couple of Munroes.



Hope everyone is well today and that you're day improves Deevs. Money shmoney is what I say. ;)

MTD - I was just thinking about you the other day wondering how many more days you had to do. Enjoy the gardening leave, the weather's too good so it'd be very rude not to take advantage. A trawl through the jobs pages in the back garden with a cuppa / long glass of something should be as strenuous as it gets for a while. Take time to rest, if you can.

No, I think you can get them from any garden centre. In fact, if you pop along to your nearest garden centre and they have any on sale, now would be a good time to sample a taste as they should be in fruit right now.

I have a thornless blackberry which we have had for about 8 or 9 years. This is the first year it has produced any fruit :-)



I've never heard of jostaberries either, but my mother-in-law used to rave about wimberries.

Ooops, sorry, I missed you earlier - good luck with the boiler Tortie - I hope it's not too expensive and I hope the boiler man gets it fixed today. I won't tell you about my boiler / central heating woes, it's been a bit of a saga that has lasted years and several chilly winters. Suffice to say, I'm awaiting a call from a young fella who is going to come and repipe the upstairs part of the system which seems to be causing all the probs. I'm hoping for a warm and toasty winter.

#40 For some reason I'm not 'loving' Graham Norton as much this time as I did when he sat in for Chris before. I actually turned over to Radio4 this morning, perhaps I was just being a bit crumpy!

For my ARF request I'll suggest Black Dog by Led Zep in honour of the jukebox in the Student Union main bar at Reading - it was on a double A side with Rock n Roll on t'other side in the early 80s. For all I now it's probably still be on there to this day :-)

I've caught up with my correspondence - phew, have I been a busy bee this lunchtime. Tortie, GailyB, KM and MTF - have sent you all messages on FB. Anyone else - don't think you're being excluded from anything, these are all about different things!



Now, as I'm on my own this afternoon I'm going to try and get Simon's 5 live show up on the computer.

A few problems. First, my ipod headphones weren't long enough, so I had to cadge some off a colleague. I have two screens, and I'm trying to have the video stream on the right hand one and get on with my work on the left one. But I can't keep the r-hand screen on full screen mode.



Thirdly, I'm trying not to laugh, in case anyone walks past my office. But it's hard...:o)

It's tumbleweed time....

Methinks after work it's going to be the weekly shop, then home and a fair few glasses of vino tinto tonight.



This morning was awful. This afternoon is dragging. No texts from me fella today as he's on a works thingy in London.

Evening all!



Well, we have found a house to rent in Highcliffe for 3 months! Its amazing what you can do with just 8 hours to spare! Its a lovely 4 bed house with plenty of room for us, and it suits us to have a short let as we are waiting for our house purchase to go through. Thanks for your good wishes and thoughts, and special thanks to GB for reposting my choice.





And well done indeed to Alison. I heard her as I was travelling past the turnoff for...Eastleigh! Spooky or what!



Anyway, off to have a good nights sleep. FRinishing off the packing tomorrow and Sunday (no footie for me, unfortunately), and will be moving on Monday, so probably won;t get a chance to post, but best wishes for a lovely weekend, one and all!

We were in Highcliffe just last week Kev.
