Simon, just reading your "turn the paper over ..." missive made me go cold. The longest 3 hours of my life, ever, in my entire 41 years on this planet of ours has to be my CSE Maths. I turned over the paper with considerable trepidation, filled in the boxes on the front so they knew at the Exam Board who this numpty was, and then started to count the bricks in the Sports Hall. 3 solid hours of brick counting. Miraculously though, I still achieved a pass. Just.

Then I downloaded the Stevenage fans' FA TRophy final song (Google "The 86 Club" to hear "Make It Three")



Then I watched Elbow/BBC Concert Orchestra doing "One Day Like This" on a well know video site (others may be available). Goose bumps - it really is superb.



And that's it, and the day is half done :-)



Off to try and buy the Elbow/BBC thingy now. And to put a curse on those idiots who say the BBC should get rid of the popular music parts of its output.

Oh well, my attempt to purchase Elbow/BBC version was thwarted. A well known store had the boxed version at £24. I can get a double jewel-case version for a tenner on-line I believe. £14 premium to get it now and with added air doesn't cut it I'm afraid. Must be getting old, the desire to have it NOW always used to win.



Narrowly avoided rebound purchase of an armful of AC/DC's back-catalogue at 2 for a tenner. And returned instead with the new Jack Reacher. Thanks Simon for the heads up tweet the other day, didn't realise it was out.



So, beer, studio version of Elbow in the machine, feet up, book open, see you tomorrow I guess :-)

Evening all. Well we had a good run of menshes today. Debbs / Debbie, CDF and KatyMac were all heard by me before I got stopped by the Police on the A27. My car has possibly been cloned, and it now has a note on the Police nastional Computer, so whenever a Police car fitted with Automatic Number Plate Recognition sees me, they pull me over and ask for ID. To their credit, they are always apologetic, but it gets on my wick. And what's worse is that the DVLA will not change my reg. no. - they just say to show the Police a letter they sent me. Hmph!

#82 Sorry to hear your tale of woe Kev. I had a similar experience a while ago when a car I had previously owned was involved in a crime. Needless to say, the DVLC records weren't up to date and they still had me down as the owner. Took some explaining, but luckily we'd kept a record of who we sold the car to.
