Ladies and gentlemen, it's comedy pudding time!
So first well done to Angie who won our total ticket competition yesterday. It was a lovely conversation as she had forgotten she had entered, forgotten what the question was and forgotten what the prizes were. Hearing her good fortune dawn on her very slowly was a joyful thing. She is going to have one heck of a summer.
And so to Nigel's offering this week. He promises us spotted dick. An inherently comedic name so let's get all the jokes done and dusted now. Tee, and indeed, hee.
Can we squeeze one more day of money songs out of you? Abba still not happened, nor Charlie Rich, Dollar or Johnny Cash. Or Drachma He's Making Eyes At Me. Or Euro The One That I Want. Or Luka. You get the picture...
See you at 5.05.

Secondly, when Rebecca goes on Maternity Leave are we going to get Geordie Steph doing the Business Brief? She caught me and Nic snogging outside the 02 at Chris's Bye Bye Drivetime, Hello Breakfast party and told us how many people read these blogs, including her and her colleagues, apparently.
So - hi Steph!!
Thirdly, are the modders going to mod everything that mentions "that" comedic pud?!? We had all sorts of probs when you did songs with foresign languages t'other week as it went against the Bloggery Rules.
Fourthly, money songs Day 4. Please please please please play
Mint Car - The Cure

It seems to be pun central today on money related songs, so I will get my punhead on...

It was used to re-issue debut albums on mid-price if I remember correctly. I had this album on the label, and also Queen I as well.
Anything that reduced EMI prices was good news - back catalogue stuff on EMI labels always seemed to be £1 more than any other label. So Queen, Pink Floyd etc were £5.99 when bands on other labels were £4.99.
