Blow torches at the ready
After yesterdays whistling, that Richard Briers tune is now in my head all the time. Default whistling tunes proved most informative I thought. Todays instrument of choice for the opening record moment is (slight flourish) the triangle. A fine and underrated piece of bent steel. Hits below please or via [email protected]
Nigel is in today and promising a creme brulee like you've never experienced before. And that means you need a blow torch. Doesn't it? It means burnt cream and I imagine health and safety might have a few things to check first. Nigel in after 6.
Talk at 5...

Given the The Mayofellow's penchant for things a bit folky, perhaps a bit of cajun wouldn't go amiss. There used to be a band in Derby in the late seventies or early eighties that performed under the name of R.Cajun and the Zydeco Brothers. They were blimmin' excellent and are still around. Now if simon could find something by them, he wouldn't go far wrong. However, no hits, so maybe a bit later on rather than an opener.
Please Simon, R.Cajun and the Zydeco Brothers, check 'em out!

One of the sadnesses of technological progress is that chunks of music collections probably end up unplayed as it doesn't all get converted or re-bought on newer media. I'm on my 3rd copies of the Yes catalogue (vinyl, CD, remastered CD), 3rd copy of Seconds Out (2x vinyl, one CD), second copies of Floyd catalogue, etc. etc. but the Queen albums from when they were at their best (through to Day at the Races) and other stuff all lie unlistened to in the bottom of a wardrobe because my HiFi rack doesn't have room for the turntable these days and I just can't buy all of it again on CD (and refuse to buy on mp3).
It's also a worr about what would happen after a burglary. Would I ever buy it all again? I somehow doubt it.
