OK, so I've taken my grump medication and all is now well in the home of the oval ball.



A couple of suggestions for the opening tune: given the media story of the day, why not stir things up with Edwin Starr's War ...



Alternatively, as it's the weekend I'd really like to hear Lost Weekend by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions. Back in Jacobean times when I was at university in Exeter this was our house song. Why a lost weekend seemed relevant to a house full of students, I can't imagine.

I met him after a show at Nottingham Royal Centre in the 80s - lovely guy, signed my autograph book and everything! Being a bloke, I just lusted after his bass!
