The organ entertains...
Now it has to be said that the tuba was a challenge. A wonderful instrument but not featuring on that many hits. So let's go mainstream and feature one of THE great sounds of jazz gospel and rock 'n' roll. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Hammond Organ. Maybe we'll get to the other organs someday but the Hammond is a work of genius. So an opening song please with a Hammond to the fore. Over to you, leave suggestions below.
Also today the man behind "Only Fools and Horses", writer John Sullivan is my guest after 6. There's a Trotters prequel called "Rock & Chips" on Sunday and it's stuffed full of great old rock 'n' roll hits.

Was privileged to see The Zombies in all their original glory in Southampton end of 2009 - Colin B of course but more notably ROD ARGENT with an outrageously full head of long hair and still retaining that awfully naice English accent. But what really rocked was - you've guessed it! Hammondtastic!
So my vote goes to 'Hold Your Head Up' - Argent - or as previous poster suggested, pretty well anything by The Zombies - one of the most underrated bands of the 60s.
