And relax...
Phew. First show is always a very stressed place to be. The second show, by comparison, is a doddle (famous last words etc), but we all loved finally getting on the air and look forward to it all becoming very normal.
Today's show will feature a chat with the wonderful Ray Winstone who is in about 6 films this year starting with "Sex and Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll" and "44 Inch Chest". Ray's on after 6.
Today's opening record chosen by you please! Terms and conditions apply as they do to every walk of life here. So 1: it has be a blistering hit and 2: it has to feature a trombone.
Over to you!

It kinda scares me a little when reading comments on the last blog and on Chris's that some people feel the need to write so vociferously about a radio show and launch personal attacks on people they don't actually know...no need people!!! Everyone has the right to an opinion and to express it but well it's just nice to be considerate of other people's feelings not that anyone needs me to be protective of them in the slightest lol
As for the trombone hit, tricky one but of course the most obvious blistering hit would be the 'Floral dance'... but for something with a bit more erm...class...how about the Delfonics 'Ready or not'? Not too sure if this qualifies as a blistering hit though..

Now then, Tromboney opener...Hows about Come on Eileen By Dexys Midnight Runners? Or any of their other tracks featuring Big Bill Paterson.

Sorry, can only think of Dexy's for trombone openers!

I have just popped over from Chris's blog to say how much I enjoyed your show. I have to confess I was on of the people saying I wasn't keen on listening to drivetime without Chris but your show was great (sorry)!!
