Little Prince
Hello friends! How are you doing?
It´s been difficult to turn on my computer recently because of the heavy storms São Paulo is facing. Some parts of the city is suffering the flood consequences more drastically. You should have seen the lightenings. Very frightening indeed!
Anyway, despite all this pouring rain I could manage to go to the Little Prince exhibition at Oca, a pavilion where exhibitions and other cultural events take place. The Oca is located inside Ibirapuera´s Park, one of the most beautiful parks of São Paulo.

The Little Prince is known all over the world. He takes care of his little planet with rigorous discipline and he cares about his rose like a precious jewel. Maybe The Little Prince ´s author, Saint-Exupéry, wanted to show we don´t pay much attention to our planet and the people around us. Therefore, we should see things with the eyes of a child, who can see so cleary the truth through his inocent eyes: we take for granted our planet and human relations. We can´t turn our back on this situation anymore. Everyone must do something in order to make our planet more peaceful and healthier to all of us.
Bearing this in mind, The Little Prince was chosen to represent children´s thoughts about a better world to live in. I reckon it was a good choice, wans´t it?
I´m posting some pictures of the exhibition below:

We are responsible for all the things we captivate. Our planet has many natural resources, which we can enjoy consciously. Consequentely, we´re also responsible to preserve our planet and make it a better place to all of us.

This is the 'Star Tree', where children write messages about how the world could be in the future in order to be a better place to all of us live in.
Let´s chat a bit friends!
Anita, James and Hyoshil, I´m in debt with you. I´m owing you a postcard of my city. Now that I´m on holidays from uni I´ll take care of this as soon as possible, ok?
Cris, I wish I could meet Csilla too, but she wasn´t able to meet me in São Paulo. Well, maybe another time :-).
Pary! How are you my dear? I´m so glad to hear from you again. How are your boys? I hope they are very well.
Hello Saad! Nice to meet you.
Kuldeep, thanks for your kind words about my writing. Actually, I need to improve it a lot. I took up this year a preparation course for the CAE exam and I realise that I have to work on it a bit more. I have to brush up even more my vocabulary. There´re loads of new vocab to learn and that´s makes me a bit dizzy, but I´m enjoying a lot this new challenge :-).
Oi Fillipo! It´s always nice to here from you :-).
Guys I have to go now. Lunch time!
Enjoy your Sunday,
Ana Paula.

Hi A.Paula, What a nice blog! I quite remember "Little Prince" as I read it several times. Besides, the subject of the caring of our planet came up at a very opportune moment. Nowadays we are experiencing the consequences of our careless acting all over the world. The climate are changing and the authorities are doing nothing to prevent it. Yesterday there was a heavy storm in Buenos Aires too. The weather is hot, windy, cold, wet and it's raining more than usual. By the way, you look great on the pics :-) See you, Cris
Ana, I think this is your most beautiful entry. It seems by the pictures you had a ball visiting the Little Prince exhibition. Saint-Exupéry could see the world through child eyes. What I most admire on him is that he created this story overcoming an adversity he had during a trip by airplane. This is an example how someone can turn bad into good things. We need people like him in our planet.
Olà Ana Paula! Bad weather has been anywhere in the last few days. Yesterday it snowed for almost the entire day. Sadly, the snow has become ice, so we have to walk and drive carefully. Plus, the weather forecast says that it might snow again. Have a good week!!
Hi Ana Paula... I looove Little Prince! One of my fave books of all time! :) Thanks for sharing it with us. Happy new year and God bless.
Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
