Friends forever...

Another change in my life is that I joined Facebook in February. I was not familiar with such a social networking at all. I did it because my daughter went to the South America and I wanted to be in touch with her, to see her pictures that she would upload there. But, I found some of my blogmates: Cris, Ana Paula, Naheed, Adriana, James, Rosalba and commentators as well: Hyoshil,Mahjabeen, Carmen, Toni, Darío, Pary, Mercé, Ewa, Güzin, Beatriz signed on FB and since then we have been keeping in very close touch. As Cris said, we had made really good friends. We can share our happiness and sadness with each other. My friends always lend me a hearing ear and helping hand.

I have already received several postcards from my lovely friends. I put them on my fridge so they are really with me when I am in the kitchen. Here is picture of my fridge covered with cards from friends, pen pals and Csilla as well.

And this special one is from James, Taiwan. I have never seen before such a beautiful screen card. Many thanks to everyone once more.

Hi friends! How are things with you?

Thank you for the wish of good luck for our business. Fingers crossed that it will go smoothly in the future. Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. It is really kind of you to take the time to write.

Darío! You forgot to mention: mowing the lawn!!! Ha, ha... and do not forget to put the kettle on. My secret...hmm... I reckon it is my family. As a father you know how important it is to me. Glad to know you are in the Christmas mood. I am sure, your Christmas tree is fantastic and you are eagerly looking forward to the evening when your children will open the presents.

Pary! Nice to read your comment on my blog. Yes, it is different to write here since the commentators are my friends. It is hard to come up with something new and interesting that I have not told you yet.

Cecilia! I used to go to the church with my grandmother when I was a child so I know what are you talking about. But since she passed away I am not a church-goer any longer. But the smell of my freshly baked biscuits got me into a perfect Christmas mood. Yes, I absolutely agree with you that Christmas is not all about gifts.

Filippo! Pizza with poppy... sounds strange to me. I am wondering whether it has a sweet or salty dough and topping? Filippo, have you been to Dublin? Looking forward to hearing about it.

Naheed! If only I could send them to you, dear. Anyway, the filling was made from poppy seed, grated apple, raisins, a big tablespoon of home-made apricot jam and a little sugar... and now the biscuits are all gone..

Güzin! You are right, I am the type of people who does not have any problems with putting on weight. However, I must also be careful because of my high cholesterol level.

Cris! You have to save up enough money to buy a plane ticket to Europe but then you will not have any problems to stay in Slovakia, Turkey, England, Germany and so on.... I am sure. You know, I have been cherishing the dream that we will meet one day, either in Slovakia or in Argentina, and cook together.

Kuldeep! The forecast says more snow for this weekend and perhaps even up to Christmas. I will take some photos, if you would like. The entry about my children is coming.

Mercé ! I am fine, thank you. How about you? Looking forward to hearing your plans for Christmas. Take care!

Beatriz! The other day Csilla told me that the shopping centres in Rio were decorated with snow flakes and snowmen and it was really funny because the temperature was around 35 degrees. It is her first Christmas in the heat... I reckon, it is something really funny for her.

OK, friends, I think I responded to all your comments. Have a nice day! Take care,

Anita

Anita, I liked your post today very much. What a good idea to meet through FaceBook. Since I am also a member perhaps we good sometime chare messages. Maybe you find me in FB? By the way it has been snowing here in Finland today and the temperatures are around -20 degreed C, it is cold as there is a light wind also.

Hi Anita! I did not try it. My friend ate it up so I assume she liked it. I think the ingredients were: nuts, bresaola, dairy cheese and something else that I do not recall at the moment. Yes, I went to Ireland last January. I visited Dublin(it is an easy city to get around), Galway(it is very worth visiting) and the Cliffs of Moher(awesome). Despite the cold, I really had a good time and I plan on visiting this country again. I sense a few of people have Facebook so I will have to set my own page, if I want to keep in touch with you when the open blog is over. LoL Take care!!
