It is snowing...
Hello! Hope all of you are having a great Sunday.
The other day I was complaining that the Christmas spirit has not hit me yet. Up to now... because on Saturday I baked these biscuits filled with poppy seeds to get myself into the Christmas mood. I believe you can imagine how much I would like to say to everyone: “Please, help yourself!”

And today... it is snowing, it is snowing, it is snowing... it gives me a real Christmas feeling!!!
This is the view from my kitchen. I do hope these photos help you to get into the Christmas mood too.
Many thanks to everyone who left a comment on my first blog entry. Thanks to James, Adriana, Kuldeep, Beatriz, Hyoshil and last but not least to Cris for your positive feedback which were really encouraging.
Hi Hyoshil, I did not want to sound proud of myself. You know, I am not career minded at all and lots of women juggle children and a career in Slovakia. But I am a lucky one because when my children were small I had the opportunity to work from home so I always was at home when my children arrived from school.
Dear Kuldeep! I am glad to know you re-read all my entries written in September 2006. Wow! I dare say, my blog seems to be a lengthy family saga so I am going to write about my children soon.
Oh Cris! Thanks for your kind comment. To be frankly honest, there was a slight increase in my weight. :(
The calendar shows December 13th again - it is Lucia Day or Luca Day. I did it last year so I am going to do it again. What? I would like to wish a Happy Lucia Day to Lucy who we all know, to Stephen Keeler’s daughter. Dear Lucy! Have you sung the traditional Swedish Lucia song to your father yet? Have you received the small Lucia gift from your father today? I hope so. :)
Looking forward to hearing from you. Take care!
Anita

hello,i´m from argentina, and i think that you should go to the curch to feel christmas spirit. i´m catholic, and for us crhristmas is more than presents, cookies, or those superficial things. i do not want to be rude. i wish you would find yourself on decembre 25th. have a nice week. Cecilia.
Hi Anita! Great to hear from you. It is hard to find a balance between work and family especially for a woman. Because of the economical downturn and other events it is difficult to look positive at the future, but we have to stay hard. As for my 2009, I cannot complain so far. I realized I have to take things as they come. These cookies seem tasty. Yesterday night a friend of mine took a pizza with poppy. According to an Italian saying, Saint Lucy's Day is the shortest day of the year. Good week!!
Hello Anita, yummy! if only I could pick this plate straight from the screen of my monitor. We make similar kind of sweet with the stuffing of poppy seeds, processed milk, raisens and coconut and it's called Gujia. I love snow and looking at the picture of your window, it made me feel as if I was also looking the view from it. Many thanks for the pictures and don't forget to share the recipe on fb:). Have a great festive season, Naheed
Dear Anita Thank you very much for your delicious cookies.I am sure you are good at cooking. Your family is very lucky as well you. You don't have any problem about putting on weight. I like eating but I can't.I have been careful about my eating habits.. Thank you very much. Take care Anita! :)))))
Hi Anita, Seeing snowing doesn't really put me on Christmas mood :-) since it's very hot here at Christmas. However, what you cooked made me long to be there with you and try one of them. I'm sure they are delicious. Take care and see you soon, Cris
Hi Anita, My mouth watered seeing your baked poopy seeds biscuits. Poopy is outlawed in India. However, sipping of wine is allowed. I could not get a chance to see a snow in my life time yet. Though snow laden area is not far away from my place. Infact,by chance, I always visited there is no snow. Here, days of chilling weather are about to come. Like you, we need to wear thick jackets these days though days are sunny with a little bit warmness. Awaiting your next blog as promised. Best wishes.
Hi Anita. Hope you are going well. Congratulations for your wonderful biscuits. I'm sure they are delicious!! Today in Spain weather is so cold and it's snowing in the mountains. Have a nice and happy day :-) Kindest regards Mercè
Hi Anita. I'm glad for your Christmas spirit. Here you know it is different because we have no cold, no snow for Christmas as we are beginning summer. The shopping centers are decorated for this special season and I received already a lot of Power Point messages about Christmas. Good week
