Are you a part of the problem, or part of the solution?
Hi everyone!
It's good to be here to write again. Last April, when I was the 'blogger of the month', I could not write as much as I wanted. I felt bad about it. And I missed to write and share ideas here. I apologize.
Now I'm here again. Thank you to BBC LE Staff.
This week we are watching on TV, reading newspapers and news on the internet, or listening comments on the radio about COP15. People from all the world are discussing the climate change and the role of the governments to reduce carbon emissions.
But we have to do our part. We have to think about the way we are living, how the things we do affect the environment, and what we can do to stop the climate change.
I suggest you to answer some simple questions to have an idea of the legacy you are leaving on the planet. Just click on the link below to know if you are a part of the problem, or part of the solution.

Good luck!

I love BBC so much. I can learn English all the time. Thanks heartly.
Hi. I think it's really difficult to get an objective picture of how big my or anyone's carbon footprint is. For instance, is it a good thing if I buy tools for doing things by myself? Aren't those tools manufactured, thus consuming energy and material to be made? And then when used, don't most of them use electricty? Or, alternatively, if never used, wouldn't it be a waste of energy having bought them? That was just some thoughts. Bye.
Good Interactive Site, But the problem is these questions are designed for European citizens... Like in India we do not need energy to keep house warm ..
Hi Marcos! Thanks for your link. Yesterday I did the test and as I expected, it gave me a bad result. Humans are responsibile for the pollution, the greenhouse effect and so on. Now that we are in deep water we try to figure the problem out. I try my hardest to offset my carbon footprint, but you have to reckon it is very hard to follow those rules. Sometimes I cannot help but breaking them. Hope everything is going good on your life. Good day!!
hi, I have just finished the test.It says that my carbon footprint is 8.32 tonnes per annum, but I don't understand what that means.Does the amount of carbon footprint mean I have affected the environment a lot?
Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
