A warm greeting from Slovakia...
Hi everyone, this is Anita speaking... How are you? I do hope life is treating you and your families well. I am sorry I have not written yet.... just watch this space and you will find out why.
I ended the open blog 2008 with these words: “Do you have any hopes and dreams for the New Year? For me, I think it will just be continuing to be creative in the kitchen, keep plugging away at our business venture, and hopefully brushing up on my English. Simple dreams for the New Year, but they should keep me busy enough.”
Well, quite a lot has happened during 2009. My life has changed since March, when I started to work in our LED lights showroom. My task at he office is doing the business correspondence with our suppliers from all over the word. I like doing that so I am in contact with English every day. I have learnt so many new things about LED lamps and accessories, about electricity on the whole. I am exactly a lifelong learner but learning is a great thing, I believe. I can describe the year as a year of big changes as I have become a working woman from a housewife who helps his husband from home. What is more we changed our company's profile, we do not work in agricultural any longer. Maybe the timing was not the best, I mean we live in difficult economic times which does not really helps our business. But I am generally optimistic about our future and hope things will improve. I carry on in the belief that good times are just around the corner.
I work from 8 am to 5:30 pm, 5 days a week. This brought quite a lot of changes to my schedule. Sometimes I feel a twinge of guilt as I cannot cook a warm meal every day. Once my son said : “Hurray! Tomorrow is Saturday, mum will be at home and we will finally have a home made dish and cake.” So, during the weekends I am up to my ears in work at home: I try to cook Peter's favourite meals and bake at least two types of cake, I remove the big pile of dirty clothes, clean the house and so on. It is easier now, during winter, because we do not have to work in the garden. I also have to admit that I have finally experienced a role reversal, as my husband helps me to do housework and sometimes Peter cooks since I have been working. They do my job so they appreciate it much more.
Well, I think my hopes and dreams are fulfilled and yes, they kept me busy enough. How about you, my friends? Was the 2009 good to/for you? Did something change in your life? Well, let me know your news.
It is me in the picture arranging price tags in our showroom.
Bye for now,
Anita

Hi Anita, it's uneasy for a married lady to catch up to work, you are so great. The best part is that you can still learn English and improve it so well, you are a supermadam. Wish you work happully. James.
Hi Anita. Your husband is lucky because you literally can see "light" even at the end of the tunnel.
Hi Anita, your todays blog forced me to read all your sept 2006 blogs. It is amazing that you learned & improved English with a short-span of time (only 3 years while looking after home affairs as well as husband business. No doubt you did inspirable work for other new learners. Hope your daughter undergoing her Master degree these days. I work from 9 am to 5:30. Being healthy young man, I feel too exhausted mentally and physically at 5:30 and often feel that duty hours is too long to do execute other home duty /work. You are managing domestic as well office well. Thanks
Hi Anita, It's a bit different to read your blog here as we talk to each other whenever we can.I feel how much you are proud of yourself as a working woman and a mum to two children and a wife.I always admire you and wonder how you can manage so many things smoothly. You are a great mutitasker, and I like your chase after your dreams. I'm off to see a doctor now, and I'll send an email to you later.
Hi Anita is good to read your news. You have really changed a lot in your daily life. It seems you have adapted well to it. I am surprised that you still cook two different cakes. Best wishes
Hi my friend, I quite understand you and admire you a lot. It's not easy to balance housewife working with office work. But I'm sure you feel better this way because you feel that you can make other productive things and help the business be a successful one. I like your picture and I can admit that you're loosing more weight than ever :-) We'll keep in touch. See you, Cris
Hi my frind, What else can I say? You´re extremely good! I mean it! Working so hard during the week, studying, looking after your family and house....that's admirable. I'm sure next year I'll ask you what is the secret for it, as I´ll study at the university in another city, and I'll have to keep working and of course I´ll be with my kids. I hope you get everything you wish fo this Christmas! Darío.-
