White roses from Finland

No other like it! I mean friendships among people; they are a real foundation for peace and prosperity. How are you all my virtual friends all around the world? I do hope that the life is treating you favorable enough in these difficult and chaotic days.
Nothing is as it has been before, that is a certainty. I am not saying it should be, but somehow I do miss a quiet moment, a tranquil minute to reflect. Yeah, I know who is stopping me? The answer is: The clock.
Today I am happy. My daughter Katri is well settled in her new home, her brand new-fangled horse stable is a marvel and horses are happy. Pekka (my husband) still loves me and… in addition I am happy to tell you that my father is going to be honored on Finland's Independence Day, 6 of December, Esko-papa receives the First Class Medal, in Order of the White Rose of Finland as a symbol thanks for his war years.
I leave you hopefully in good health with the following:
"Nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won." Duke Of Wellington 1759 - 1852

yes iknow what you say, there were a lot of times that we were happy at them and even we were sad at them, but there is one note that we must know, and that point is the key of life is change

Hi, Leila. Nice to see you back. We have had an exceptionally warm month of November in this corner of France. Can you tell me, do Finns still lit candles in their windows and put off ordinary lamps on the 6 November? Congratulations to your father. My mother who was a Lotta at the isthmus of Carelia has had all her life influenced by her experiences there.

Hi Leila! It seems things are going smooth on your side. Kudos to your father!! My grandfather took part in the Italian resistance movement during the Second World War and he received a commemorative certificate. Our Liberation's Day falls on April 25th. No matter the time and the political view, we should always be thankful for all of those who have fought to set our country free. Again, great to hear from you. Cheers!!!

Hi Leila. I'm glad everything is so well in your family. I also am waiting for a bit of quiet time. perhaps in my next holidays by the end of the year.

He must have been exceptionally valour during his war years. Please, pass my huge congratulation to your father from me.your father's great bravery make me spare a though for soldier who risk their life for their country.I wish your life to be full of happiness, love, achievement, and honour continuously.Take care, my good friend! .

Hi Leila! Glad to read you are doing well. Best wishes to your loved ones. Congratulations to your father on receiving the First Class Medal! I cannot help thinking the same: we are busy people today and the world is rushing by so quickly that it is difficult to spend sufficient time with our families. Take care!

Hi Leila, I'm glad to meet you again. I agree with you, I also miss the quiet moments. Now everything needs to be done immediately and there is less time for leisure. By the way, congratulations to your father. You must be very proud of him. See you, Cris
