The post-modern world promotes education

How do we have all good things that the post-modern world offers? If we just think of education, it means to achieve it good internet connections. The education offered to adults is mainly in internet and within learning boards used by login. As I told to become a vocational teacher and be a professional teacher at the vocational school needs competitive skills both in the subject (rural industry, gardening, caring industry, hospitality industry, mechanic services, economic industry etc.) and in the pedagogic sciences. It means not to be only a competent what to do but also how to make students learn.
So back to my studies. The one part of Vocational Teachers Education includes pedagogic sciences. I think now I will mix your mind but this part of the studies is done in the third university in Jyväskylä. University of Jyväskylä has specialized to e-learning and web-based learning surroundings.
What it requires from me? It is an efficient computer, suitable basic programmers and GOOD INTERNET CONNECTION. When live in periphery to be in touché with another world needs good connections. It is very much cheaper to study in www2 world in internet than to send in another locality three months. We have broadband channel and three computers connected to modem. The operator has decided to give up cables and promotes people to join in wireless connection. For us it means three wireless modems and it is more expensive and the connection speed is not so effective.
But there is also another side in a coin. We can approach this issue through an imagination. What would happen if every person who is able to read and write would join to every possible learning community and become a profession what ever. Every new profession is located in periphery and distance between them is 50 km at least. Population density is around 1-2 person km2. Do you think that the social capital will arouse and bring more upcoming economy? I think that in a limits it will do it but sooner or later it will filled up by very good educated persons which is too much for local bearing capacity and environmental capacity. So what do you think what will happen then? What do you think that should happen?
See you soon, in the next blog I will introduce my hobby.

Hi Taru You are right about people being more educated in the future. More people these days know the value of education and they try to obtain as many qualifications as possible. In my opinion as people are becoming to acknowledge the importance of education and more people try to go to universites, at the same time government are also increasing tution fees each year. Even though bursries are available for some students but people are not alligable for bursuries but they are also not able to pay their tuition fees. For example, if one person in the family work and 3 or 4 children are dependent on that one person, then it is not easy for one family to pay tuition fees for all their children. Some people take loans but I don't like loans either because as soon as you finish your education and get job, you have to start paying your loan. So it is quite competitive to get educated and find a good job. Therefore, education will increase but less jobs will be available. For example, I met one girl the other day. She had a bachlor degree but she was working in small shop because she couldn't find a job in her area of education. So we will end up getting higher education but low value jobs. Looking forward to the next entry about your hobbies. I am your hobbies would be as interesting as you are. Take care Rabail UK

Hi Taru! It's nice to meet you in a cyber-classroom, and thank you for the very fascinating blog.Personally,If i were you, I wouldn't worry about having too many well-educated people in your society because many people learn new things for only pure thier interests. On the other hand, if matters are arising from crime to political or economic environment the peple will put their heads together and try to make things better. They say "Too many cooks spoil the broth", but I say "ignorance is crime.Keep up the good work, and i'm looking forward next blog from you.

Hi Taru, I have found your nearest town on google map http://maps.google.co.in/?utm_campaign=en&utm_medium=ha&utm_source=en-ha-apac-in-sk-gm&utm_term=maps. Iam very interested to know about scandinavia. I have read in internet, scandinavian people are the most happiest people in the world. I would like to analyse from your posts why scandinavian people are the happiest. Regards, Sreenadh.T

Hello Taru! Regrettably nobody knows answer to eternal question you’ve been raising from the very beginning. I mean education does not guarantee blossom future. But on the other hand I know a few very successful people without higher education. Henry Ford, for example. As for your final question in this blog, I recon competition will survive, as ever. Educated and skilled people will be trying to apply their experience as well as skills but, I’m sorry to say, not everyone is gonna be satisfied with vacancies.

Hello for everyone, I partly agree with Hyoshil, that some people learn new things for only pure their interest, but however I think nowadys more people are more well-educated than in the past, espacially because they want to have better jobs. But in the recent time everything is changing very quickly. In my country for example ( and I think not only here ), in the past, when somebody graduated from an univerisity or even a high school, he /or she was sure that will get a well-paid job. Nowdays lots of people have completed higher education and they have a problem to find any jobs. Taru, it is only a beginning of your entry and it is already interestingly. Looking forward to the next entry about your hobbies. Best wishes for you. Ewa :) have a nice evening

HI Taru, all this education matter it´s something that we really have to think about. What I mean is that, I just know a few people who are happy with what they have studied. By one hand I know people who went to the university but now they're working in supermarkes because they can't find a job that suit with their qualifications,in the other hand, there are people who studied profesional training course and have a job acording to their qualifications, but now they wished had studied more (my case). In conclusion, just a few are happy with their studies for one or another reason .In my opinion all this is because of the companies...What do you think? Bye!!

Hi Taru, I saluate you. You still managing to spare time for study. With small children it is very difficult to continue study especially for a mother. Internet can be proved very good friend of these mothers. E-goverance (Govt. portals for help of citizens) facility is really a bone for citizens of any country. Knowledge in multi disciplines widens one's outlook also. Hope to have more interesting chapters from you. Thanks

Hi! Yes, education is an endless issue but I think I will tell you something else and then come back to the education again. One of you wondered how I have time to do studies and take care of family I will reply by two ways. 1st thing I don't watch TV the whole day or evening just news and some actual programmes and 2nd I have good husband who takes care of family and every day's life. And of course it has its success and its problems but anyway it needs the spirit of going further. So it is not a trick or magic, it is simly to make some priorities to life and its purposes. So Hallelujah all of you!!!

Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
