Back to the blogland

Hello!

It is fantastic to be back to the blogland. I was the student blogger last January. But some technical problems occuried in that occasion and I was unable to publish entries during many days. Now I am taking the opportunity to write again.

As I told you before is amazing to be back. The anxiety is as large as the first time. But it is different because now I know how things work. Anyway, I hope to have your help during this month.

Before continue I want to thank Professor Helen Mehta and I am sorry for any failure. And I would say to Teacher Rachel Wicaksono I am ready to start to work. And thank to Dima Kostenko (from BBC) and to the BBC LE staff.

For those who did not follow the BBC student blog during January, I will introduce myself again. My name is Marcos Martins Santos. I have 32 years-old and I live in Fortaleza, the capital of the State of Ceará in Brazil. I am economist and I am studying Transportation Engineering. Currently I work as independent consultant.

I want to finish this entry with a question. In recent months the world has been affected by a strong financial crisis. This crisis has had an impact on the lives of many people. What do you think about this crisis? Were you directly affected? How?

Hi Marcos, nice to see your back, I can tell that you have a big progress of the organization of the entry. About the economic recession, in my opinion, everyone will be affected, because we live in a group society, even we are not swayed directly, we are tossed indirectly by our friends, relatives and etc. Best wishes, James

Hello Marcos!I am going to take this second opportunity for sending a warm welcome to you. In January, I followed your rich and interesting writing, however, communicated by comments only to teacher Helen. Then, I was able to read it from home being there stucked by my ill spine. Short after, I didn´t continue the net connection at the operator, so my home note-book lies untouched there since. And I have to admit that my English is far behind yours, but unlike you, I wholly break away on learning. Now, as my painting course ended up last month, suddenly, there is nothing which could bring a bit of the sun and excitement into my personal life, never mind the Spring has arrived here! Over last two years I was able to gain the knowledge of language watching this space on /excuse to all previous teacher for making mistakes now and befor/, but even more Friends who are deeply in my heart and their words in my mind ever when my eyes rest upon The pigeon paintig. Now, Marcus, I was unable to break this short and hope you will understand for I am prepared to read your post full of diverse themes as befor and as your life and country is. Lastly, the question: " Which of your many occupations (construction company, bank, railway company, independent consultant) do you find most interesting and why?" Happy blogging and learning!

Dear Marcos, nice to meet you here again! I’ve read some of your posts. 10 Jan report was very cognitive. To be honest I just liked picks :) You don’t have a reason to feel anxious – you have a good experience of blogging. Good luck! Concerning your question I’ll choose another moment to answer. This one is going to be too positive to be spoiled.

Hi Marcos ! nice to see again :)

Hello Marcos!I must confess thet I did not read your blog before and I encounter it accidentally but I'm nice surprised. Fortunately the global financial crisis does not affect my wallet. However, I discern his results in the majority of cases. In my opinion the crisis is effect of thoughtless human behaviour towards money. I hope it won't be increasing. All the best!

Hi Marcos, About your question, I do think that the economy status in my country is always in a crisis and this global crisis has just made it worse. The number of employees fired has increased tremendously and many others are very afraid to be the next. this crisis also affected badly, as an example, the medical field, I am a pharmacist by the way. Many pharmaceutical firms made a down sizing of the working stuff or even declared bankrupty. Also many people can'tafford the costs of their medicines, so they try to avoid buying medicines as much as they can. Waitin for your next blog, Marcos

Hi Marcos! It´s nice to see you´re back! Best wishes, Ana Paula.

Hi Marcos, welcome to this coming back. Today I can't write any more. In next posts I'll say my opinion about financial crisis and how is turning our lives. See you soon, Toni.

Hi, marcos. These day, BBC learning English is the one of my favorate site. Especially, I enjoy reading student blog. Because I learn culture diversity of other country here. Your site also is attractive to me due to your hot issue such as economic issue. About economic crisis, lots of people make efforts to mitigate finacial risk, so they are reluctant to invest their money. I am affraid of the beginnig of vicious circle of economic.

A big welcome from me! How thoughtful BBC Learning English people are! You are the luckiest one given a golden chance once more. Make the most of it, and I wish you having a ball with Rachel and the readers.

Welcome Marcos! It's really good to see you again. Wish you good luck, Naheed

Warmly welcome U come. This is the first time I join blogland!Nice to meet U all!

Hello, Marcos, It is nice to see you again as a blogger. I did not go through your privious blog. This time i won't miss a chance. You have started a very important issue ie economy which affect on everybodys life good or bad. Because this world is very complex where good for one is may be bad for other. It is a good chance to you. Make best use of it.Try to write more that certianly make all of us enjoyed. O.K. see you very soon. By, Deepak

Hi Marcos, in the caanry Islands the economic crisis has had a big effect on the economy especailly the construction industy and every week more people lose their jobs. Tourism is our man industry and this is down this year due the rise in prices, people has less disposible income and the exchange rate with Britain has made holiday a lot more expensive. the waether has been very bad this winter too. the coldest for 47 years. however we remember that there are places in the world where life is very difficult so we are still lucky to live here. Bye for now, deborah

Olà Marcos! Good to hear from you again. Yes, the crisis has obviously arrived in Italy as well. I think the government have slightly underestimated it. They started to take some measures when they realized that the companies had started to make the workers with an open-ended contract redundant. As far as I am concerned, I am a temp worker. Despite my current job position, I feel very lucky because I am still working. On a bright note, as Easter is getting near, how do you celebrate it in Brazil? Have an awesome week ahead!!

Hi Marcos! Good to see you again here. You're doing Transportation engineering what is that?. We don't have any such field here in Pakistan. Here Computer engg, ELectrical, Mechanical, Civil, Telecom and Electronics are more popular. I did my batchelors in Computer engg. How an economist is related to transportaion engg?. See ya, Mahjabeen

Hello Marcos! Good luck Marcos!I think it won't be technical problems this time. At spring it is a lot of work in the garden but I will be read systematically your blog because my English is not still very good.Practice makes perfect.Best wishes, and I crossed my fingers for you. Waldek L. from Poland

Hello Marcos, i am wishing you a better luck this month.Since you are an economist,it will be easier to find a job during this credit crunch.About the question you raied, it was good for us over here in MAURITANIA,a poor African country ,for the drop in energy price.that is all we felt so far .thanks.
