IIze, I think the women have been gaining influence and power every year, i am talking based in the information of my company in the world, we have never had so many women with bosses (47%) like this year, and the trend is that percentage grow up more every year report. We need to reckon the rule, if we have a action we will have a reaction, the family system in my opinion will be affected, if the women won´t balance the professional life and wife/mother the world will be facing a huge problem in the future.

When we say it's a male oriented society then we, women don't mean to leave men behind we should actually first realise and make men realise that no one is superior to one another, both man and woman equal. hi Ilze, what i want to say, is that women have gotten their rights as they have to. and they still have it, now we have equality of sex. and more than that, women share every thing with men. but i think that women have forgotten themselves and their family' duty, don't forget that women should take care of her husband first and then for her children, but unfortunatly there is a miniority of women who do this job as it should be.

Hi Ilze! Although the things have changed during the years and women are part of the work force, here in my country women still earn less than men doing the same job. It´s the woman who brings the bacon in the majority of the homes in Brazil. However, there is a huge deficiency in nursery schools, consequently, the worker mothers have always to face a dilemma in order to find someone who´s going to take care of their children while they are working. We have also a very small amount of representative women in the power, which is a shame for Brazil. Well, I hope this situation could change one day. Best wishes, Ana Paula.

I`m reading BBC Blog after few weeks. I`m really happy to see that this month bloger is from Latvia. I visited Riga at the end of February and I really loved the place. The Old Town is beautiful! I enjoyed my 2 days a lot. I have taken many photos... I visited a few cafes with many varieties of tasty cakes and buns :) and I was happy to see snow again. I`m Polish but for the last few years I live in Ireland. Going to Latvia was a good experience for me and a really nice change. I could take a rest from crowded streets of Dublin. Best regards Ilze!
