2008 BALANCED SHEET
Hi my lovely friends,
Well, as a good accountant, I’m trying to make a balance of 2008. I won’t bother you with the profits and looses columns but I want to sum up just the following:
PROFIT: and this is a big profit I have during this year. I became a Student Blogger in April and not only have I improved my English skills but I got to know lots of friends as well.
In addition to this, my list of international friends keep growing since I registered on Facebook and what is really very profitable is the fact that we all learn from each other every day.
Moreover, we also get to know other cultures and customs.
By the way, where will you celebrate New Year’s Eve?
In my case it is my turn now to cook. So my mum, my mother in law and my sister are coming to my place.
WISHES FOR 2009:
I wish with all my heart that those countries which are at war now, stop it and think of how easy and marvellous it would be to be in peace and love forever. Am I asking too much?
Who really benefit from it? Well, I think that all of us have the answer and this is the earth, not Heaven.
SOME REPLIES TO COMMENTS AND BLOGS:
I’m very happy you all liked what my mum cooked.
Toni, I asked my mum about the potatoes in orange sauce and she told me that she prepared them along with the stuffed chicken. She cut the potatoes in slices and placed them in the baking sheet around the chicken. Then she sprinkled the juice of 4 oranges mixed with cognac. Have a try and then tell me.
Nurzhan, your comment is lovely and your level of English is good. Keep practicing and you’ll improve every day as all of us do.
Bahar, thank you for your kind wishes. I’m happy that you made new friends.
Beatriz, it seems that you had a peaceful Christmas. That’s a good way to celebrate it. Enjoy your parents. Seize the day.
Adri, I love your villa. The pictures speak from themselves. You are surrounded by nature and it’s a goal you have achieved this year my friend. You all seem to be very happy.
I wish you the best.
A.Paula, hey I’m happy you appeared. It seems that you took a little vacation of English after your hard exam. I’m glad you had a lovely Christmas among your love ones. See you soon.
James, it seems that you take your English studies very seriously. Take it easy and let it flow. Your English is very good my friend and the way you express yourself is wonderful. I also appreciate the fact that you care a lot about the others.
Naheed, I totally agree with you. We are all connected in this crazy world and make it seem better. Thank you for sharing the pictures of your pigeons. Here in Argentina they are a plague. Everybody complains about the mess they produce. All the buildings, balconies, patios, streets and all the places are dirty because of them. But it seems that yours are very well educated : -)
Leila, your pictures are unbelievable. I haven’t seen something like this on the sky before.
Anita, your dishes look delicious too. Here it’s very common to eat salty things with sweet sauce. For New Year’s Eve I’ll prepare pork stuffed with dried prunes and bacon, then I’ll sprinkle black sugar with mustard caramelizing it. I’ll accompany it with apricots in sweet sauce. By the way, I treasure the moments I spend with my mum and my mother in law, you are right.
Satya, though we don’t know much each other I wish you a Happy New Year.
Esteban, hope you have a wonderful vacation.
HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR ALL OF YOU, THE READERS WHO DON’T LEAVE COMMENTS, THE TEACHERS AND THE BBC LE STAFF!!!!!
See you.
Much love,
Cris
