Objectivism and Me...

What an abstract title is it! I've started reading English novels when I was in class X ( 16 years old). But no author has ever been able to impress me with his ideas except Ayn Rand. I started reading Rand's "Fountainhead" by a random choice. I did not know about her before reading Fountainhead. But, I was surprised with the ideas of objectivism in that book and then I googled about her. Her stories are not great but the characterization of the Protagonist is splendid. With simple and crispy words, she conveys powerful ideas.
But, does her novels really had an impact on me? My answer can neither be yes nor be no. Because, I believed in Objectivism even before I know the term, though I don't fully agree to Rand's Objectivism.
Ayn Rand says:
" The moral purpose of my life is my happiness".
I believe it so much. I've just written a few lines about the above line in my blog.
But, I should agree to the fact that Ayn Rand has influenced my style of writing. By the way, I started reading "Atlas Shrugged".

And now, It's the time for the replies to the comments:

@Marianna from Slovakia: Whenever I write a post, I expect your comment and I've never got disappointed. You are such a lovely reader I ever had. Thank you so much.
@James Wu( Wu ZHih Cheng) from Taiwan: James, It's been so difficult to pronounce your name in the brackets, especially the middle name. You are so active here. I really appreciate it. Hoping for more posts from you in the coming days.
@Shravan from Hyderabad,India: Hi, shravan. There's only one answer to your question. Practice. That's all. Start writing... whatever it is. And the best way to do it is to start a blog. It really gives lot of inspiration to write because whatever you write will be read by many people. So, start blogging... have a great day...

See you soon...

Hello Satya! Do you know what, you´ve managed again to conjure another smile on my face (the compliment), I am lucky!. Then, I was pondering about what a book to read, too. I tried my internet bookshop to look for Toni Morrison Beloved, recommended yet twice here by Helen and Simon Johnson, but it gave me the title Love only and I am perplexed if that is the book. And I agree with you especially on the point of pronunciation James´ middle name. Fortunately, this couldn´t prevent my pleasure to read and write him!

Hi Satya, you are so right of English leaning, practice makes perfect, just do it is a better of learning. I am glad that you frequently blog on BBCLE at recent days. I can learn more from you, thanks. Best wishes. James.

Happiness is certainly worth aiming at, I agree with you there Satya. But what is happiness? It has such a different meaning to people. I am aware that you meant a personal happiness, but nevertheless, I wanted to raise a further question. All the best to you. May your life be happy, although it may mean a lot of hardship before you reach your goal.

Hi Satya I don't read as much as I would like to. I wish I coud read more. MY problem is that when I am studying I don't like reading other books apart from my course books which is not good. Because of this problem my general knowledge is very weak. Recently I have started to force my self to read other good books too. My other problem is that I don't like watching tv a lot which is another source of learning. I am a mature student so my life time experience tells me that it is better to gain knowledge about everything. If you are aware of what is happening around the world then it becomes easier to to part in discussions. Would you recommend Ayn Rand's books to someone like me for reading? I like the way you ended your message "Life is creative". These three words say a lot about life creativity. Every day every second we are thinking and creating. However, some people may be more creative than others but they are still creating. These words inspired me so much that I wanted to write more about it but time does not permit me to write more as I have something important to do right now. Take care Rabial UK

Hello Satya! It is not that bad to play truant at times. LoL Sometimes it happens to get up later than usual. I will definitely stop by your blog. Have a fab 2009!!
