A resume on the internet

It is near the end of December, my privilege of blogging on the BBCLE student blog is going to the end. At the precious moment, I would like to share my experience of English learning on BBCLE website.

Back to April, 2007. I emailed an application to BBCLE for a student blogger. I got a phone call from BBCLE Paul (London) at the last third part of April; it was an international call to my cellphone (mobile), only a short conversation, Paul told me that he will email me the Student blogger stuff, and I got it. After that, I wrote entries on the student blog of May 2007. A reader whose name is Toni from Spain told me that he applies for a student blogger on September or October, and haven’t got a reply, he will try another one. I have no idea about how do they choose a BBCLE student blogger? However, I do see one thing in these 2 years that a few student bloggers somehow quitted in the middle way of their month blogging. It would surely trouble the BBCLE team, the teacher blogger and the readers.

As Blogger.com says:” A blog is a personal diary. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.” At the very beginning, I thought it would be easy to write a personal diary every day, But, things didn’t come to the way that I had thought. It was easy to write daily entries in the first week. Afterwards, the stuff which I could write became fewer gradually. In the meantime, to write and rectify my articles, to read comments, to search information, and to read teacher blogger’s entries, I was exhausted. It liked I crashed a wall. Luckily, a motivation of blogging on the website kept me going on. I was not born in a rich family that could have a chance to go abroad to learn English in a totally English environment. And, hiring an English native speaker tutor to correct my English writing is not so easy and expensive and not a necessary cost. Now I got a chance from BBCLE that an English native speaker would like to correct my writing for free, it is impossible for me to give up the chance? That is my motivation. The motivation drove me to write an everyday entry. The motivation drove me to read Teacher’s entries carefully. Every time I found teacher Alex corrected my mistakes, I was always bliss out. In for a penny, in for a pound. Finally, I had done my wish of blogging every day. No pain, no gain. I know what I should go for it. My English got much better improved. I know the direction of upgrading my English. I know many countries through the readers’ comment, because I usually check the data of a country where a commentator is from.

This year, I joined the BBCLE group on Facebook, I met a few BBCLE student blogger like Ana Paula ( April, 2007), Naheed(June, 2007), Adriana( September, 2007), Critina(April, 2008), and a commentator (Pary), and other friends. To me, the easiest way to introduce myself to a new friend is:” I am the BBCLE student blogger of May 2007, if you would like to know me better, you can read my blog, and the website is as below. ),” It is to say that I have a trusted resume/CV on the internet which is posted on the BBCLE student blog.
