THE DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Hi everybody,
How are you all? I’ve just had a very nice talk with A.Paula, Naheed and Carmen on Skype.
It’s amazing to think that I’m more in contact with all of you than my friends who live next to me.
I want to thank you for all of your comments; it’s always very rewarding to receive them.
Well, today is Sunday and it’s raining in Buenos Aires. Yesterday it was very hot (33º C) and there was not a single cloud in the sky. Thank God we have many sunny days in Buenos Aires and the weather is predictable most of the time.
Yesterday Oscar and I went to do the Christmas shopping. The shopping malls were full of people and we tried to buy all very quickly. Both of us hate crowds.
I took some pictures for you. This is a shopping mall not very far from my flat.

Then we went to Belgrano neighbourhood. Since it was very hot we had a big ice cream while we walked along the streets. The shops windows were all decorated with Christmas items.
I especially love a street called “Sucre St”. They put a red carpet on the pavement and assembled a tree at the corner of the street.

Here is a picture of a shop where my mum used to buy all the decorations for our tree when I was a child. It’s located in a Gallery. Yesterday I went there and remembered those nostalgic times.

By the way, where are you going on Christmas Eve, my friends?
Oscar and I will go to my mum’s house along with my mother in law and my sister. On New Year’s Eve they will all come to my house. I’ll take some pictures at my mum’s so that you can see all of them.
Before finishing this blog I want to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to the BBC staff, all the teachers, all my blog mates and all the commentators.
Hope you have a wonderful time. May Peace and love be with all of you.
Hugs and kisses to you.
Much love,
Cris

¡Igualmente Cris! I usually go to the midnight Mass, but I do not have a large meal on Christmas Eve. We mainly celebrate Christmas Day in my family.
Hi Cris! Guess what? A heavy storm fell down here and I had to leave Carmen and Vladimir ( Naheed had already went to bed). This time of year rain a lot here but the temperature is around 24°C. the pictues are really beautiful. Truckloads of kisses, Ana Paula.
I wish you a Merry Christmas! beautiful photos seems to be a first world city :) see you! Esteban
Hi Cris,MERRY CHRISTMAS to Oscar. you and your whole family. It's glad to hear that you have enjoyed a great Christmas shopping. As I know that Argentines are predominantly Roman Catholic. Christrmas is a big day to a Roman Catholic, the atmosphere will affect all the nation. With a hustle and bustle of life is good for a short terms. Best wishes, J.
Hi Cris! The shopping mall looks quite different from my local's.My town hasn't got a grand shopping mall so sometimes we have to drive about one and half hour to get a huge shopping centre in Sheffeild or Leed.i haven't writen my comments a lot to you but I always read your letters. It is so good to know that how you and your family are. I wish you the best wishesxx
Hey up Cris, how lovely it is that we also know each other through our voices. The shopping malls are very beautiful and clean and I see decorated Christmas trees and they are fantastic. It's really nice to see your childhood memories through your eyes. Kisses, Naheed
Cris, thanks so much for taking some pics during your busy Christmas shopping :-) It's really amazing to see people in light dresses and Christmas trees and decorations. I'm absolutely not used to that! Here people are wearing coats and scarfs... :-D Season's greetings to you, too! Hope you'll have a wonderful time with your family!!! Kisses, Carmen
