Winter Vacations
Hello Everyone!
Just like Jo, I too would say that it's great to be back in touch with you all. Thank you Jo! Along with my career in accountancy I would love to become a good yoga teacher 'cause I love yoga. My students are all teachers as I'm working in a college as a yoga instructor. The idea behind this fitness programme for teachers is of the management. When my students come up and share the benefits they are getting from yoga practices, it really pleases me. Saturday will be the last working day so there's one more day to go then it will be winter vacations and so shall be mine. Winter vacations are only observed in schools and colleges and they are of 10 days. The classes begin on the first day of January. Do you have winter vacations in your countries?
Speaking of vacations, I have always loved them dearly:-).
Helen , Hyoshil and James, you had asked me some questions related to Eid ul Azha. I will start by telling about what kind of animals are sacrificed. Well, the answer is all the domestic animals such as cow, goat, sheep, camel. Speaking of traditions, alongside sacrificing animals people perform hajj. Which reminds me, Jo you asked me if I hope to go on hajj one day? I would love to go there and along with that I would like to visit all the historical places surrounding that area. Okay, one more answer is to be given. The black Stone (it was reportedly originally white in color) was sent down from the heavens to the earth by Allah, along with the first man on earth, Prophet Adam (a.s.). Then, centuries later, when Allah commanded Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.) and Prophet Ismail (a.s.) to rebuild the Kaabah, the Stone was placed in the corner of the Kaabah, as directed by Allah to Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.). Kaabah represents the direction to pray. Hope I have answered to your questions according to your expectations.
Finally, I'm having a go at Jo's phrase 'in for a penny, in for a pound'. If something is worth doing we go the whole way and take all the risks not just some. I was very sleepy when I started writing this post but I said to my self 'in for a penny, in for a pound' and wrote it.
See you all soon,
Naheed

Hi Naheed, Thanks for your explanation of the black stone.Best wishes, James.
Hi, Naheed, i have a question about Pakistanies in general :As an intellectual,do you think that the mob feel angry on the former colonies(GREAT BRITAIN)for siprate them frome INDIA based on religion and chose INDIA over them by heleping it establish Democracy while encouraged dectatorship in Pakistan?
Hello Naheed! It´s great to have any vacations especially when one is a student and a teacher at the same time. As for me any post on this site this month have been a big pleasure satisfactisfaction and a boost for my moral. We are having hard time with my mum. Despite being at the end physically I started to paint your pigeon and forgot all. I made a quick scatch on a piece of paper in a pencil first than right on a canvas 40 mal 50 cm big piece in tempera. Yesterday I continued with the work and I like it very much, the pigeon looks contemplative and I have a feeling as it just came as a greeting from you. I don´t give names to pictures but I look at it like the Naheed´s pigeon from Pakistani. Two years back, just befor I started first comment here I painted a furious cock fight and it was on the pink background too. I did more pictures of various birds in this two years period. How the time flies and how it is nice to be in touch with you once again!
Hi Naheed! We have our Winter recess/Christmas holidays over here as well. Schools of every grade will close from 24th December to 6th January in our regional district. The same goes for the firms that close during this time of the year. However, due to the economic crisis even the companies that have never closed for Christmas before will close this year. According to our local newspaper, the majority of the companies will reopen on January 12th. Cheers!!
Hi, I hope you will enjoy your holidays. Here we are beginning summer. But schools (primary and secondary) have winter holidays in July.
Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
