I appreciate all your comments and I want to thank you for reading my entries. Thank you so much for your kind words about my writings. The comments of my past three entries that I received repaid my effort. It was worth the time that I spent on them. I do not like to admit it, but writing this blog… it is still getting done slowly like Luca’s chair. Please, do not think that I just sit in front of the PC and I write, write, write… No, no definitely not. However, it is not as a hard work to express myself, to express my feelings in English as it was two years ago. Yes, I like writing in English… it is true. When I write or think in English the grammar rules, the tenses, the articles, the right word order are on my mind. You should see my desk when I write –it is in a mess: all my English grammar books, workbooks, dictionaries are open, and my notes are all over the room. Oh, Marianna I do not think that my entries are comparable with teachers’ entries. However, I would lie if I said that I do not love your positive feedback with all my heart. I do not know whether all my prepositions are correct as we are not receiving any feedback from our teachers now. What is more, I am a little sad that neither Lewis Davies nor Stephen Keeler have caught up with us yet. We are just hoping that they will join us.

Ana Paula! I am glad you are back and relaxed. The pictures are beautiful. I agree with you that nowadays lots of people think that Christmas has lost all meaning… it is just greed. I also think that instead of going crazy buying expensive gifts for everyone we should have a social family gathering, have a good meal and a good chat.
It is my daughter who wants to go to South America and yes, Brazil is one of her destinations. Unfortunately I do not have any sisters, I have two brothers.

Bia, My daughter is 21 years old. At the age of 16 she went to the USA where she studied in her third year of high school as an exchange student, which she really enjoyed. After she arrived from the USA she took her final exams in Slovakia. This experience helped her to apply to go to university in England. She graduated with a first –class degree in psychology from the University of Reading, UK in June 2008. She is living and working in London now, trying to save as much money as possible because her future plan is to travel and work as a teacher in South America before pursuing for her Master’s degree. She has recently taken a training course to be an EFL teacher. At the moment it looks like that the first destination will be Ecuador, then Peru, Argentina and Brazil. But things can change very quickly with her. I have attached a photo of my daughter, son and me taken in the garden of her university before the graduation ceremony in June 2008.





Marianna! Thank you for your concern about having a good health insurance. Csilla will have protection against diseases too. My feelings are the same so I just can repeat that I have written to Guzin that as a mother I am concerned about her, her safety, her choices and the consequences of those choices. But this journey sounds a great adventure and an opportunity to see more of the world, to become clearer on who she is and what she wants out of life. I still believe in the saying: fortune favours the brave.

Hyoshil, I am glad you like following my path of what I have done since January, and vice versa. I also like reading your stories about your lovely son, William – do I remember his name correctly? Only 8 more sleeps until Christmas!!! – and we will be filled with joy sitting at the table. Thank you for all your comments. Do not worry about sewing on Luca day.

Filippo! Thank you for your wishes. I am sorry that my English lesson is over. You know, it was the only possibility to speak to someone in English.

Daria, everybody in the office was as busy as a bee. When I left the office at about half past 5 on Friday afternoon everybody was sitting in front of the PC and working hard.

Jeronimo, Christmas is such a joyful time of year. I wish you a Merry Christmas.

Tiasha, yes, I can say that I turned a dream into reality when I met the lovely people at the BBC. I am also green with envy that you can spend these days with your lovely daughters. My daughter is not coming home for Christmas because she has to stay at work. So, we will spend Christmas time hanging on the internet and being together through the ether…again.

Cris, I am wishing you lots of sweet dreams-come-true! It is my husband and son who put up and decorate our Christmas tree in our living room on Christmas Eve while I am usually cooking in the kitchen. They decorate it with a special kind of sweets (szaloncukor- in Hungarian, salonky- in Slovak) and with many other decorations and lights. We always take the decorations down on January 6th. I have attached a photo of szaloncukor





Liz, you know, mums are like that… always speaking and they are not able to keep their mouths shut. But you should appreciate these special moments with your mum, I think. My mother passed away 7 years ago and I miss her very much. It is even harder around Christmas time.

Toni, My family does not like spending time at the beach and sunbathing when we are on holiday, so we hired a car for 5 days and drove a lot when were in Barcelona. We drove to Figueres, Girona where Salvador Dali was born and we saw the Dali museum. We stood in line at least for 3 hours because there was a mass of people who wanted to see the museum, too. The exhibition was very interesting and exciting. We spent one day in the Güell Park that Gaudi designed and built. The park was wonderful. Then we went to Monserat, a mountain outside of Barcelona. There was a marvellous view over the mountains and environs. In Barcelona we walked up and down the famous streets, called Las Ramblas. We saw the Picasso Museum, the musical fountain, the Olympic stadium and the Sagrada Familia. We all went to the top of that high building on foot. We thought, if we are in Spain we must see the bull fight so we went to a bullring. But it was a bad decision because my daughter cried during the show as she felt sorry for the bulls. It was horrible. Any other suggestion…

Hania, thank you. I wish you all the best, too. I do not really know when the right time to wish a Happy Christmas is. I believe, we can wish it at any time around Christmas season. All good wishes for Christmas to everyone.

James, it would be fabulous to meet all teacher and student bloggers, commentators in London one day. What a nice dream! I had my camera with me every day in London, of course. However, I am not a good photographer and I hate posing for photos. No, I do not take the camera with me at home. I come from a teeny-weeny village that has a population of about 650. If you are all interested I can write more about it later. No, I have not seen a Luca chair and I do not have any photos of it, unfortunately. I think, nowadays nobody makes Luca chair. What a pity!

Karoon and Mahjabeen, nice to meet both of you. Thank you for your kind words. Best wishes for your families too. I will continue my report about my experience in London soon. I have some nice pictures to share with you.

Pary! Thank you for the link. I have looked at it. Your cheeky monkey is so cute and your baby is absolutely beautiful. You must be proud of them. Oh, Pary, children grow up so quickly … enjoy every moment with them. I know, a baby can be so demanding and being parent is a giant responsibility. But on the other hand it is full of joy and happiness.
