A huge thanks

Hi Ewa, nice to hear from you too, you also seem to know what it is like to live during these dark months. Hyoshil it is good to see you are with us, my family is well thank you for asking. Bia I was pleased to know you also have been to Tunisia. Cris, Argentina is one of the places I want visit one of these days and in particularly Buenos Aires I want to come to, it does sound so grand. Cheikh Vall thank you for your kind words, the dark months in Finland last from October onwards and yes it does feel like for ages, although already at the end of February the days are much longer. James it was good to see you entries.

My family is well; I want to share a picture of my daughter Katri dressed up as an Easter witch. The picture was taken many, many years ago, when Katri was about seven years old. The other picture was taken a month ago while my father visited us for a lunch.

Best as always...

Hi Leila, You definitely have to visit Buenos Aires. It's a lovely city. Hey, your daughter looks very cute on the photo. Were you going to cook? I love your apron. See you around, Cris

Dear Leila! As my comment didn´t reach you as well as to James successfuly yesterday and now I see you in your home outfit (you are always a great Lady) I have quickly changed my plan. I am going to write the recipe of our family´s traditional ´Biskvit to vine´ which I meant to write to Paul. Beat 4-5 egg whites with 14 dekagrammes granulated sugar until stiff. Mix into 14 dkg fine-ground flour carefuly with a wooden spoon. At the end add into carefully 10 dkg whole! halves walnuts. Give the mass into a long narrow and tall form (called roebuck´s back here) prepared with butter and flour and bake it in a hot oven. Made tapped it out of the form and when it´s not hot cut the cake into very thin slices, put them onto even backing sheet and in an open very low warm oven leave it until turn dry. Hope it will come in use for you or your gorgeous daughter. Easy! Good to vine! (PS to Paul: there is no meat, no fat!) Cheers!

it's so sweet of you to reply all the commentators. It's good to see your healthy father, May him health and safety. James

Hi Leila! How interesting the pictures are you send us! Your daughter’s picture looks like a stamp coming from a fairyland. I simply like it. I guess the words on the picture are Finnish characters. Am I right? If I am able to invent a story it will be a great material for my story. Leila, if you don’t mind would you explain the background of the picture like why Katri is holding a kettle and so on. Have you noticed you and your father look like two peas in a pad? Thanks again and speak to you soonXX

Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
