PLZEŇ

Hello all of you !!!!
Hope all is doing well and had a good time during the weekend.The point of living in the world is to have fun and enjoy the life .

As promised I am telling you something about Pilsen the city where I live .


The intoxicating taste of genuine Pilsen beer,Pilsner urquell ,is only one of the reasons why tourists from all over the world are coming to Pilsen.And the other reason?First of all ,the plentiful cultural life and live history of the city which visitors can see everywhere they go !It is said that when you come to Czech but haven't come to visit Pilsen yet you have missed of of the most valuable things of Czech culture :P I'll make all of you see It's worth come to see Pilsen by those pictures I am showing now :)

The city was founded in 1295 by the king Wenceslaus II.It became the natural,cultural and commercial center of West bohemia owing to its advantageous geographical location.Yes,I like to live in Pilsen because of its good geographical location.It's near to Germany and takes about 1 h by train to go to Prague.


The importantce of the city was constantly growing espencialy in the 19th century when two companies were founded which made Pilsen know worldwide-the engineering company Škoda and the brewery Plzensky prazdroj.


The symbol of Pilsen is cars and beer.Czech tend to drive a lot of cars made by Škoda,the quality of those cars is pretty good .

Pilsen with 170,000 habitants is today the fourth biggest city of the Czech Republic and is also a favorite tourist destination thanks to those attractive monuments in the city.

The Big Synagogue is one of many interesting places you can't miss to see.It's the third biggest synagoque in the world.The building was built in Moorish-Romanesque style with interesting interiors.

The new reneissance building of the West Bohemian Museum.It is known as one of the city's landmark.A apart of the museum is the most preserved historic city amory in Bohemia with its unique collection of gothic guns called harquebus.

The Gothic cathedral of St.bartholomew is the most precious monument of the city.Known as the highest towre in Czech R. it offers you a beautiful view of the surroundings from the top .Most of outside culture events are taken place in the square in front of the cathedral :)

The renaissance city hall is among the most beautiful city halls in Bohemia.

And the last one of course Pilsner beer.An excellent opportunity for getting to know the golden beverage is offered by many pubs and restaurants around the city center.But like a traditional step visitors tend to go to the Senk na Parkanu

Pilsen is the city of culture .It is the official candidate city of Czech R. for 2015 Universal Exhibition

Dear Linda!!! how r you today? how about your holiday? for a long time i havent visited ur blog therefore i didnt know ur blog have had many exciting news. thanks for this entry. Linda, actually, Pilsen the city in which u r living is so beautiful and a city of culture. if i have a chance to travel abroad, i wanna come here to contemplate ancientness of this hall. It make a strong impression because of It's renaissance architecture and moral value it give for Czech's population and all people in the world, yeah i loves it.I'm sure this hall is Czech's pride and Pilsen beer - the golden beverage ^^ it sounds intersting.Though i dont drinking beer, i'd like to try it. ^^ Linda, I hope someday this golden beverage will come to vietnam. ^^ i'm looking forward ur next entry. let's bring me and all people more new things as u did beijos and all best things i have given for u.

Hi Linda, how are you? First of all, thank you for the information about Pilsen. One day, I'm going to visit Pilsen, and of course, I'll drink Pilsen's beer. Most of places, which today has a traditional manufacturing of beer, began theirs activities at monastery. In Pilsen, who was the origin of beer? Why these beers became famous around the world?
