My mum´s roses.

Hi Simon and everyone!

Well, as some of you may know, I live with my mum and two sisters older than me. Here in Brazil is quite common grow up children live with their parents. This happens because the cost of living here is very expensive. Even though we live with my mum, we´re pretty much like housemates. Each of us has responsibilities and we share the house´s budget as well. By the way Simon, do you have siblings?
Anyway, we live at a small and cosy white house which has a lovely garden in front of it ( Simon, I´m not sure if this sentence is properly built. What I´d like to say here is that the house is in the back and in front of it there´s the garden.).
My mum is the one who has green fingers in our family. She loves spending part of her time taking care of her flowers. Besides, she´s very fond of her roses :-).

Here´s some pictures of our roses:

Friends, thanks for all your comments. I do love reading all of them :-).

Lucy, ah boy! Oh how cute! Congratulations again. Well, I think you´re totally right. The most important thing is health :-). I´ll be glad to see your comments here, but don´t forget to rest, ok? ;-)

Hey Hyoshil! I´m happy to know my blogs make you feel good :-). Ooh I also like light-hearted films. Have you ever watched The Fabulous Destiny Of Amélie Poulain? If not, watch it. It´s a very uplifting film perfect to see in any occasion. Moreover, I took a look at the plot of Owls Do Cry and I found very interesting Hyoshil. By the way, give a big hug in your lovely boy to me, ok?

Hey Niddo! I think you had a great idea! We could talk about films again on Skype :-).

Leslie, cinema tickets is quite expensive in Brazil. During the festival the organisers sell some tickets with a special price and some films are showing to the audience for free ( I love it that!). Apart from that, every year Chinese films are shown in the São Paulo festival.

Oi Tomoko! So have you lived in São Paulo, haven´t you? How fantastic! I live in a city 50 km far from the São Paulo capital called Mogi das Cruzes. Have you ever heard about it? There are many Japanese descendants in my city. As a matter of fact, I work at a Japanese company. However, I haven´t learnt the language. It´s quite difficult! :-)

Hi Olesya! Oh I love Hayo Miyazaki animations. My favourite one is Howl´s Moving Castle. Have you seen it? Besides, I´ve also liked Spirited Away, it´s so lovely :-). Well, as you said Japanase anime is very diverse. But, I´ve seen and liked Akira. Would you recommend me any other animation Olesya?

Hey Vladmir! Don´t worry. I was lucky because I´ve seen Woody Allen films. Therefore, I was able to recognise him :-).

Toni, I´ve heard about Vicky Cristina Barcelona. It seems a very interesting film. Well, if the film shows Barcelona as a postcard I think it´s very worth seeing it, isn´t it? By the way, I´ve read an article and seen some pictures of Barcelona. Toni your city is really beautiful :-).

Hi Natasha! What a pity. There isn´t a film club like you´ve described here. However, I´ve found the idea very interesting and I´d love to participate of a film session followed by a round-table meeting :-).

Hey Maurício! It´s always nice to talk to you too :-). Moreover, you´re right. My sisters and I get on very well. I hope we can Skype some day :-).

Haliza, nice to meet you too :-).

Hien are you a belly dancer? Well, I´ve come to know recently that there are different kinds of belly dance. There is the gypsy kind, the tribal kind and so on. Hey how about the music? I love the music because it´s so lively and happy :-).

Silwal thanks for telling me about Kalliwood :-). I hope one day I can see these films here in Brazil.

Well friends, I have to go now. See you all tomorrow.

All the best,

Ana Paula.

Hi Ana, what a lovely garden. Your mother is really very talented. My mother is fond of plants too, but sometimes she does things I don't agree like having trees cut down. She says it's to make the view clearer, but I told her she's going against the way someone who cares for plants should act. I remembered an epysode that happened with my grandma. Once a salesman dropped by our house selling roses of all sorts. Among them there was one which he called the black prince. I guess it was supposed to be a blue rose. My grandma got very excited and bought many different varieties for her garden and planted them with great care. After some time, she had a garden full of ordinary pink roses. Not one of them was different. But they were beautiful anyway. Well Ana, nice talking to you. Bye, bye.

Hey up Aninha, Wow! The roses are beautiful, Mashallah. What I can see from their beauty is that tia really takes a very good care of them perhaps just like she looks after her daughters:-). It's the same over here that children live with their parents and I think it's wonderful to have a sense inside you that you are being taken care of. See you soon, Naheed xxx

Hiya Ana Paula! Congratulations to your mum. Her roses look great. I guess you always cut some of them for your living room, don't you? I'm a little bit curious about what your responsabilities at home are. Can you tell us something about this. Bye.

Dear Paula, Wow,what a colour blog! I am regulary reading your blogs, it is very intersting, I like the flowers which you posted. anyway it will be really good if you could tell us something about education system in your homeland Best wish

The roses are so beautiful. Your mum must be very proud of them. You know, she reminds me to my grandma who had green fingers too. She was "famous" ;-) for her dahlias. They were incredibly big and colourful and just beautiful. C. xxx

Dear Ana, it seems to me you’ve met a lot of friends. Could you be so kind to highlight me how can I join to live conversation on Skype. As far as I know house rules ban to swap any contact details, don’t they? Apart from that, Skype shut down “Live”. That’s why I have unsolved question how. But may be “Skype Me” is the only way to unite friends from around the world, isn’t it? Best regards, Vladimir.

Hi,Anna Thanks your mum for the beautiful roses! They are so beautiful .One of my sister- in -law has a huge garden which is ablazed with roses in summer. The garden is fulled with scent of roses every nook and cranny. I'd love to thank you for the message and the recommendation of the movie. I've not watched it yet.So I'll certainly look out for it when I go to shopping.Four times hugs for your mum and sisters and a special kiss for you from my son. have a smashing day!

Dear Ana! You are really a ray of sunshine to me this morning. As I entered into your blog entry, I was immediately surrounded by bunches of beautiful roses. I could even smell the wonderful sweet perfume in the air as if I was in your mum’s garden. Honestly speaking, I am a total disaster in gardening. I used to put some potted plants and flowers in my study. They all ended up dieing in a few weeks. However, your mother has green fingers. If on the off chance, I drop in on your family one day, I wish you mum can teach me some tricks of the trade.

Hi Ana Paula! It´s turned out that the work I intended to start today I have to postpone to later on, hurrah! So, I decided to take an advantage and to speak to you. Those really beautiful roses suggested the work I am on at home. There are small lilac flowers which are blooming on meadows in the middle of woods here just at the arrival of autumn. The name is simple autumn flowers. I do have them in a small white vase on the windowsill. I´ve found one white exemplar, too, which in another bunch I gave to my mum. Now, I do a small drawing of them in china ink and wather-colours. I remember your mum does paint some pictures, doesn´t she? Lovely greetings on the whole family!

Hi Ana, you are living in a girl's dorm. The roses are pretty, and it will be better to see your panoramic garden. I am enjoying your blog very much, See you around. James

Dear Ana, You are really lucky to live in such a house with a garden in front of it. Every morning, these beautiful flowers make your day happy. In my opinion, roses are king of flower and it attracts most of people not only due to its colour but also its scent. Most of south Asian people live in extended family with few people bring home the bacon. Certainly there is division of duties and responsibilities shared among them but very few take care about their duties and responsibilities. Thank you for sharing such beautiful pictures of roses from your garden.

Hi A.Paula, your mum's roses are lovely, including her three daughters :-) In Argentina is also very common to live with our parents until we get married or decide to live alone. That's more likely to happen when you are around 30 or 35. I lived with my mum until I got married and that was when I was 36. Wow!!!! now then you can guess my age :-( By the way, your blogs are beautiful and full of life. See you my friend, xxx Cris

Hi Ana, Everybody seem to be so enchanted by your Mum roses, so do I. As to working in a garden I think it may bring pleasure but when you are a bit older. Than you are more patient, some even say you draw energy from the ground. Maybe one day you take over and you will be proud of your gardning. Bye

Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
