What a wonderful blog!!!

Hello!!

How are you everybody?
Here is already dark and the day is ending....
Regarding your question, Simon. If you eat often and not big amount of food, your stomach works without huge breaks so that you don't feel a big hole in your tummy...ahahhahahh!!! Besides your digestion will be much easier and you will burn more calories.
I have something for you, dear Simon.....this sign is so funny to me!!! Every time I look at it I laugh. It means just that you have to pay attention to the railways if you are on your bike!
What do you think about that?

Today I should answer just your comments, they are so numerous! Thank you so much for that! It means much to me and I am really happy you like my blog!

Today there are more than 4.5 million of inhabitants in Auckland dear Leila, and immigrants are still more than emigrants. I was thinking that when you were here the Sky Tower didn't exist! You should see it, it's amazing and I think the landscape is very different with it!
I was checking my pictures and I found one of the museum. I hope you like it!

Dear Christine, in New Zealand there are few big cities like Auckland (the biggest ones), Wellington, Christchurch. There are many little villages but you won't find huge empty areas like, for example, in Australia. I can say that there are many earthquakes but most of them are imperceptible. I heard two of them when I was in Wellington, more than three years ago.
In one of my next blog I will show you some picture of the Mt. Cook with the snow!

Delphine, in Aotearoa there is the Boxing Day, December 26 as a national public holiday.

No worries Ana Paula. Unfortunately violence is a tough topic and I don't know enough about it to give you a rational and complete answer. Anyway, in my opinion, Maori are not discriminated. If they want to study and have a good education they surely can get a good job. As always it is up to people achieving good goals, don't you think so?

Hello Silwal, my husband is very shy so I won't show you pictures of him. Sorry about that.....by the way, why do you want to see him!! I'm jealous!! Ahahahahahah!!

Hi Chris and thank you for your daily comments, I really like them. I have to tell you there isn't specific meal here in New Zealand. In fact here there is the "fusion cuisine" , a mix of different way to cook (Asian, Indian, English, European). Anyway there are particular food such as Kumara for example which is a delicious sweet potato.
A part from the way Kiwis eat, I think that here there is more variety of food and this is very good for my taste!

I will be very glad if you tell me about your Country, Sagar!

I can understand your English Redouane, and your effort is appreciable!!

Sylvia, get on the plane and come here!!! Ahahahahah!!!

Hi Filippo....do I know you?? I used to live in the North East of Italy. What about you?

Fuji, I have been to that garden and I think it is amazing!!!

Yes Habooba, all the carvings are hand-crafted. I really wish you to come here because I think it's beautiful.

Mong Thuy Vo, it would be a wonderful place for a honeymoon here! Are you getting married soon?

Thank you Anita for your comment. 22 years are many!!! Congratulations! ( I answered to your latest comment below)

Unfortunately windows were dark to protect customers from the Sun, Dani, that's why colours are not so bright but you can have anyway an idea of the view.

Hi Guzin, we have been married for 6 years and, luckily, we are very happy and in love!! I like your wish! Thank you.

Thank you Rafal. The All Blacks are very good indeed!

Ciao Concetta! Can I ask you where do you live in the Po valley? The life style here is much better, in my opinion, than in Italy. There is not so rush doing things and you can still enjoying your family without dying for your job....keep on writing!!!

Hi Ernesto! I will write about animals one of these days. In fact I've already promised to write about them.
I really would like to see The Morro!!!! It sounds exciting!

What a surprise dear Linda!!!!!! Thank you for your comment. Of course you make me feel happy and welcome in this wonderful country. All your family is wonderful and we both thank God for meeting you all!!! Having "foster" parents here is just a blessing... Thank you again and see you soon.

Ahahah. I always enjoy reading your comments, dear Anita. Yes, I like preserving and making jam but for now I don't have a garden here. I would really like to taste one of your jams, I can imagine the nice smell and the delicious taste...
Anyway, here is still winter and my favourite fruits will be on the market i few months....I will probably buy them in some farm and then I will make my own jam.
When we got married, 6 years ago, the church was full of sunflowers. It was amazing and from then it became our flower. We have been to Tuscany for our honeymoon and we saw many sunflowers fields....I remember I was astonished!! That beauty was fabulous!!

Have a good day and see you next time!!!!!!!

Hi Leila. First af all, let me tell you I think the signal you show to Simon and all of us is a very good one. It's simple, very clear and appeals to your senses (I can almost feel the pain of the falling). For me, that is an example on how the road signals should be. What museum is that? In my opinion it looks more as a mausoleum. Best regards.

Hello Rosi. The sign of the person falling down the bike has reminded me when I was a child. In my hometown "Granada", in the early sixties there used to be trams that went through the main streets of it. If your were riding your bike and had the bad luck that the front wheel of it went inside the track, you wouldn't move the handlebars and you fell down the bike just like it is shown in the sign. To avoid this to happened, you shoud cross the track with the wheels at right angles with the track. Despite that, for me was a pity when all the trams disappeared. In 1984, for my honeymoon I visited Italy, and I was happy to see trams in the town of Milano, although they were modern, not at all like those who I remembered. Dear Rosi, I have read all your entries in this blog, and I like them very much. Keep up the good work. See you soon.

Hi Rosi! I really enjoy the pics of your last blog. Apart from that, you´re right. Violence is a tough topic and so discrimination. I also think that is up to people to achieving their goals. See ya, Ana Paula.

Dear Rosi! Belated congratulation on your weddings anniversary! It feels you are a happy person and thanks for bringing it up to us so generously. The sign you´ve shown I had to laugh too. Not only that but your wondeful blogs get me always in to a better mood. Listening to not a one good news on Tv one evening after another make one feels being not excited about whatever work. I would apreciate to live in a country where is there less preasure. Having said that I don´t plan to live but there where I am. See you soon!

Hi Rosi! As I see it, we have much in common –our fondness for cooking, baking, canning and we both like sunflowers. :-D I also wish you could try my pickled cucumbers or jam. I saw the funniest sign in England last year. I have already shown you it on my blog (see Open blog, 18 January 08 – Tank crossing, if you are interested). I use lots of fresh herbs to flavour our meals, such as thyme, rosemary, basil, mint etc. I reckon you also use them as you are an Italian. What sort of herbs do you use in NZ? Well, I have to leave you for now. I should go get some things done. I need to make lunch. Best wishes,

Hello Rosi - I live in a town in the South Piemont, 30 Km far from Turin. It is in the plain but it's surrounded by mountains and I can see the Monviso peak from my flat. Fortunately, I live and work here,I'm a primary school teacher, so working and taking care of my family is quite easy. Living abroad is an interesting and broad-minded experience, I admire you for your choice. I hope my daughters will follow your example. Ciao

BEWARE OF WHEEL-THIEFS ...or... Remember to assemble the front wheel on your bike before riding it! :-))))) These are my personal interpretation of that sign..

Hello Rosi, I like the traffic sign, you've shown us. In Germany we don't have such a sign( I've never seen one), but I think we need one, because when I was a teenager, I got with my bike in the tramrail and fell down on the street.Nevertheless it is a funny sign. What's about sport in New Zeeland? Is there a special kind of sport, excepting bungee jumping? Do people like football, like you know it from Italy or Germany? Is there also a skiarea in the mountains? I like the photo of the area, where you live. It seem to be very nice there, perhaps you can show us some photos of the beach. Thank you for your nice blog, so long....

Waaaaaaw! I really enjoyed this journey with you.I learnt a lot about this beautiful country.I heard a lot about New zealand befoer but this is the first time I discovered it nearly.Be sure that I will regret if I will not visit it one day! Thank you very much.

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary,Rosi!!! Sorry it's a bit late to say.Wow, you went to that restaurant on the top of the sky tower, not the buffet restaurant on the 2nd floor? Sounds perfect! You were so lucky that the weather was good that day:-D The sign you've shown us is so funny. I like it. Hey Rosi, do you drive in NZ? Is the traffic rules in Italy the same as the one in NZ like driving on the left? For me, since we drive on the same side as NZ,it wasn't so difficult to drive there except one thing, roundabout!! We don't have such rule in Japan. So,when I tried to enter the roundabout for the first time, I missed the timing to enter many times because I was nervous and upset. Do you have roundabout in Italy? Are you good at that? Best whishes.

Dear Rosi, Life is full of miracles and nobody knows what happens next. Though you can’t see our photograph, we can see your photograph and by chance if we meet any corner of the world and I can recognise you couple. Is this reason sufficient or should I write more? Since you hade celebrated your marriage anniversary on Sunday, certainly you had taken photographs. Now, this is up to you either to post photo or not and I am sure that now this is in you part to be shy or not, isn’t it?

Hi Rossi¡ I´ve heard about ¨Kumara", here it´s called "camote" its colour is like orange yellowish, there is another kind, half violet and its inside is more clearer. That´s right is delicious and sweet. This is a some strong reason whom says the american man coming from there. Best wishes and follow with yur exciting blog¡

Hi Rosi, that sign you showed us is really funny. We don't have signs like these around here. Just the regular ones. I also loved the picture of the museum. I felt like visiting it.

Hi Rosi, how are you? I really enjoy your blog because I'm learning lots of things of NZ and Maori people. Today I have been talking with a friend who knows NZ and have told me that people from NZ are very very kind. Thanks for sharing with all of us a little of your life. Warm congratulations for your wedding aniversary. See you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mercè

Rosalba thank you, I loved the photo!

Hi Rosi, Happy happy wedding anniversary, there is a proverb in Farsi (language spoken in Iran) which says 100 more years added to this one... Many thanks for your wonderful blogs, they are always very interesting, you are a great blogger. best, H.
