Wedding Anniversary!!
Good morning everybody!!
Just like that, yesterday was our wedding anniversary and I had the brilliant idea to book in a special restaurant.
It was the Orbit restaurant on the top of the Sky Tower and the view was just amazing. I was breathless and my husband as well, in fact he didn't expect to go up there.
The feature of the restaurant is that it turns 360 degrees in an hour so that you can have a complete view of the city and the harbour and in the same time having lunch. We were lucky also with the weather! In fact Saturday was awful and today it wasn't very good as well but yesterday was just beautiful and you can see it from the pictures I am going to show you.

This is the Harbour bridge and you can see the sail boats!
And now I would like to show you the area where we live, I really like our suburb because is so close to the see and it is not far from the city.

Do you like it?
When we were eating we saw some people walking over us, it was amazing and we couldn't believe they were just outside, tied by few cables and 250 m height!! In fact we discovered that you can have a stroll up there for few dollars. Maybe I could do that one day, but I couldn't do the bungee jumping!!!

The restaurant is in the last glass ring before the "fly way". I hope you can see it.

I hope to read your comments soon!!!!
Have a wonderful day!!

Dear Rosi! It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. I would like to wish you a Happy Anniversary! May the next year be filled with good times, happy memories and the warmth of family togetherness! We will have our 22nd weeding anniversary in November. Thank you also for the beautiful pictures. Have a nice day! Take care,
Dear Rosi, I think this restaurant was a wonderful idee. The outlook must be stunning. But the window cleaner have to be free from giddiness. ;-) Do you notice the movement of the restaurant? Still something about flowers. All flowers died by my grandma within a short time, except for orchids. They bloom and bloom, whatever she does. It’s astonishing. Thank you for your nice bloq. Best regards, Dani
Hi Rosi wish a happy anniversary.Howmany years have you been married? There is a turkish saying, that is " get old together by sleeping in the same pillow" I try to translate as far as I can. hope you understand.I wish you have long long years together with happiness ( the same meaning with turkish saying). Thank you your blog. BYE :))
Hi Rosi. Your blog is very interesing. I am learing english language for 2 last year, I better read and understand then writte. I am self-taught person and don't often think about English grammar (may by this is time to change that:-)). NZ look very beautiful, I know somthing about this country, because I am rugby supporter. NZ have the best rugby team in the world and if you will have occasion go to watching play. This must be nice live over by sea. I wish you to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary. Regards,
Congratulations! What a nice place you chose for the celebration! in my country there is a building in Punta del Este no so tall but with also a turning round place, but I don`'t know why it did'nt work. Perhaps some failure in construction or another problems made that the restaurant does not exist. Keep writing. Bye
Hi Rosi - first at all, happy anniversary. Your way to celebrate it was absolutely amazing. As we say in Italy, you were indeed in seventh heaven , weren't you? You are lucky to live in a such beautiful place. It would be my dream to live close to the sea instead of living in a muggy town in the Po valley. What's the way of life like in New Zealand? Is it frenetic as the western one or more relaxed? Congratulations on your blog, the topics are always interesting and the pictures stunning, you are full of bright ideas. Ciao
Hello Rosi. Congratulations for your anniversary. I wish you a long and happy life with your husband. The view from the top of the tower is really gorgeous, but it must be better from the fly way. I would like to try it. I can imagine the fantastic view, the wind in my face and the heart hard beating in my chest. However, as you, bungee is not my cuppa. Where I live, the best place to have a panoramic glance of the city and the landscape is the rocky hill wish name is "El Morro". The summit is 130 meters tall, and the face in front of the sea is almost completely vertical. Lots of people go there to see the horizon or the sunset, but some people go there to commite suicide...brrrr. You have told us about maoris, flowers and food. Perhaps you can write now about animals. Have you seen a kiwi? Bye...
Rossi, firtly Happy anniversary, really you choose a good place to spend your day. My day will be the next 4 th August, but it´s very probably I won´t be here, so we´ll postpone our celebration for another date. The pictures are fantastic, best wishes
Dear Rosi, Happy wedding anniversary! What a fantastic idea and place to celebrate it? Pictures are nice and I like the area you are living. I can say that you are really lucky to enjoy beach and down without a travelling a lot. Revolving restaurant is in nice location to provide complete view of city and harbour. In Nepal there is only one revolving restaurant in Kathmandu but it is located in city centre and can’t provide nice view as shown in your photographs.
Hi Rossi, Congratulations to both of you! You had a brilliant idea. The view from the restaurant looks wonderful and it is amazing to see people walking above you. I'm happy you had a splendid day. In Bariloche (Patagonia region) we have a cafe at the top of a hill and it rotates too. It's marvelous because you have the opportunity to see all the views. The area where you live is outstanding and you have a terrific sight. Looking forward to your next blog. Kisses, Cris
Hi Rosi, first of all congratulations on your annyversary. How long have you too been married? The pictures were amazing. It's really a wonderful view. I felt like trying that view outside. It must be a very exciting feeling. I'd like to try the bungee jumping too, but I guess I wouldn't be brave enough. Have a nice day, see you again soon. Bye.
Dear Rosi thank you for the beautiful stories you are writing and doing so well about our lovely New Zealand. We do hope that you are enjoying your time with us and that our people are making you feel welcome.
Hello dear Rosi! Thank you for answering all my questions. I was glad to read that you like baking bread. I also bake fresh bread with my bread-making machine. I have already tried lots of recipes and I make a different loaf of bread almost every day – fresh whole wheat bread, brown or white bread. The smell of fresh baking bread in the house is really mouth watering, isn’t it? I will bet your family loves the smell as well. As you might remember, we have quite a big garden where we always have some work but I have green fingers. I also know what it is to be busy at the moment, as the summer sunshine has ripened the fruit and vegetables in my garden and I have to can them. I have already canned lots of cucumbers, green beans, peaches, apricots, nectarines and so on this year. I also made jam from apricots and strawberries. It saves money and it tastes better. Rosi, are you into canning and preserving? By the way, do you have a garden in NZ or are you only container planting this year? As always, I enjoyed reading your entries. I loved reading about flowers. My favourite flower, sunflowers are blooming in the fields now... this yellow sea is beautiful. I wish you could see them. Have you ever seen an entire field of blooming sunflowers? I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Take care, PS: Goodness gracious, silly me! What a terrible mistake I made in my previous comment. Of course, our wedding anniversary will be in November. And...There is plenty of weeding to do now in my garden. Sorry. :)
Hi~ Rosi! There is Auckland, isn't it? Oh~ your post reminds me of my memories in NewZealand. I can't imagine how happy to celebrate weddng anniversary at the top of Sky tower. Congraturation!! And have a nice day~
