Another short visit...

Hello friends! It good to see that many people keep coming back to this site every day - I already feel like I know many of you! It's also nice to see people posting comments for the first time... I myself feel I'm getting addicted to this blog (even though I have never done any blogging before), thinking about what I'm going to write all throughout the day.
Today's post will again have to be rather short, out of necessity: I've just got back home (it's 1 a.m. here), and tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. I have an appointment with the dentist. I shied away from going to the dentist for seven years, but when I finally forced myself to go (some 4 months ago), it turned out that it's not so scary at all; however, since then I've had to make regular visits every week, and tomorrow's appointment is a part of that routine. Hope it'll go smoothly...
Many of you asked me about the weather in Poland. We are now into the last month of calendar spring, and there can be no complaining about the spring this year: it's been very warm and sunny, with temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius. The last seven days were particularly beautiful - temperatures around 26-27 and not a single cloud in the sky. To me, this part of the year is the most exciting: everything grows so fast like it's gone mad, birds come back for the summer, and the weather is usually pleasantly warm but not too hot: just perfect for any outdoor activity, like cycling, rollerskating, and so on.
Other seasons in Poland can be nice, but they not always are. Everybody wants the summer to be hot and sunny, which would allow one to spend the summer holiday - main holiday of the year - at the seaside. And if we are lucky, we get two sunny months with temperatures around 30 degrees. Last summer, we had a couple of days with about 40 degrees! That was unusual, and possibly a result of the global warming as well...
Autumns can be pleasant and colourful, with trees turning from green to yellow to red - what we call "golden Polish autumn" - but once all the leaves have fallen and the weather gets chilly and damp, we're into 2 or even 3 months of depressing grey late autumn/early winter. Most people hate that time of the year!
Winters used to be really cold and snowy, with temperatures normally below zero, but often reaching minus 20 or even 30, recently however we've had some winters with almost no snow at all! Must be to do with the global warming again.
Wow, Sophie posted her blog while I'm writing this, and she has replied to all her comments... I will soon do the same, I hope! Good she hasn't given me any homework, I can go to bed now :)
I am a night owl much more than a morning person, as you must have realised by now, but I'll need to get some sleep anyway... I'll be back soon, though!

Hi Lukasz! It´s Autunm here and the temperatures are very mild, 20°C~22°C. By the way Lukasz, good luck tomorrow in your dentist appointment. I´ve only visited a dentist once when I´ve had to do a surgery to remove my wisdom teeth( too many teeth for a single mouth :-D). Best wishes, Ana Paula.

Hi Lukasz! So, you are a night owl. Well, for how long do u sleep in a day?. Also which places in poland you'd like to visit for a holiday? It would be nice ifyou post some pictures of your city. By the way whats the name of your city?. Tc and bye for now.

Hi Lukasz! I wonted to tell you one thing since I have read your first post. If only I wasn´t so forgetful, ha ha! When you end up your brilliant month as the blogger try to read some post from the past. I would suggest it to anybody who find a bit time. Each teacher had a bit diffrent style not only full of useful English. Both students and teachers blogs were writen from wonderful places and to read them is always so uplifting! Bye all!

Hi Lukasz and readers, We are in autumm right now and the temperatures are around 17ºC. Last winter was freezing cold, which in unusual in Argentina. I hope this winter will be warmer. Have a nice day. Bye bye, Cristina

Hi, I see that you write at night when here it is evening, so when I read it here is Friday and there it is not. Strange feeling. Well, I hope you did not suffer a lot with the dentist. Here also we note the difference in the weather. Now is autumn (by calendar) but it is more cold and some days it seems that we are in winter.

Hi Lukasz! The most unacceptable thing in your last blog is the 7 year gap between your visits to dentist. It’s really unbelievably, don’t tell about any more. You know why. But you have been fixing your teeth and better later than never. The second hard task for me is burning midnight oil. I’m a real early riser. I used to wake up at 5 am to study for exams rather to study later 9 pm. That’s why I’m curious every time you’re blogging midnight. In my opinion you’re some kind devoted to blogging at such late hours.

Hello Lukasz! What a wonderful description of the seasons in Poland. They are similar to Germany. But nowadays it seams there is a change in the seasons, maybe as result of the global warming. The winter is not so cold and long as usual, the spring is often too hot and the weather situation changes so abruptly, there are more extreme situations. But possibly I have forgotten how was the weather like in the past, typical for elderly people! You has written you are a night-bird. I always was an early bird. I like the early morning, the time when the birds start singing, the air is fresh and clear. Spring is the best time I think. I often get up at 5 a.m., sit down at the balcony, listen to the brids and relax. We always have a little bowl filled with water and it's nice to observe the birds drinking or having a shower. Our balcony faces east and we enjoy having breakfast in the dining room and looking at the balcony. I like plants and flowers and we have got some Mediterranean small trees there: olive tree, fig tree, bougainvillea and a stag's horn sumac. It's very nice but now we don't have enough place to sit there! Have a nice weekend, Felicitas

Dear Lukasz, It is not new that most people scared of dentist not only due to physical pain they have to suffer but also due to false belief that they take patient as milking cow. I want to know how much dentists charge for their service in comparison to income level. In Nepal, in my opinion they charge little bit more that income level of general people. Few days ago, I saw a programme in the BBC TV that a British dentist organised a dental camp in the USA to help people who can’t afford the expenses. In Nepal, summer season started from this month and it will last up to August. In Nepal, climate varies with topography and altitude. The southern part of Nepal lies just 140 feet above the sea level whereas the top of the world “Mount Everest” lies here. The southern part climate is somewhat tropical and the northern part is arctic. So, one can feels different climates in different parts of the country.

Hi Lukasz! It is very nice to read such a wonderful blog from you and the other members . These days in india its rainy season . and we all are enjoying good bye to all
