DANCING... AND SPORTS

Hello Anne and Readers!

I’m glad you all liked my first two blogs. I was looking forward to Anne’s blog and I’ve just finished reading it and all the comments to my blog.

Due to the different zone time maybe you all will see my blog tomorrow.

When I was 12 years old my mother made me take Ballet Dancing. I really didn’t enjoy it much but I liked to do some gym. Since I was very lazy to move my body I eventually realized that I had more fun dancing with music rather than going to a regular gym class.
I danced at the Theatre three times and went on practising as a hobby until I was 40 years old.
Afterwards I started yoga with my sister and it helped me a lot. I could control my mind and my body at the same time.
Then one day watching the Brazilian soap opera “The Clon”, I saw people dancing Arabian and something caught my heart and my body and decided to start taking classes. But I didn’t give up yoga.
I really enjoyed It very much and did it some years. Why I gave it up? Well, the teacher began to be more demanding and I only wanted to do it as a hobby. Another reason was that I tried to look for teacher near my house but I couldn’t find anyone suitable.
Anyway, now I go to a Sports Centre and I’m really very happy not only because I feel healthier but I feel freer to go at any time as well. I actually go twice a week and now I don’t feel tired if I walk a lot. The aerobics do me well.
In Argentina the women starve and practise gym every day to be thinner but I don’t need to do that. I’m a foody person and luckily I can eat a lot and never put on more weight than I have.
Argentina women are kind of obsessive about their figure. This is a fact.

Well, I can’t wait and want to show you a picture of me in Arabian dancing suit. Guess what??????? I sewed it all by myself.

Anne, when I talked about our beaches I wanted to say that the sea water was too cold, not the beaches. I prefer Brazilian or Caribbean beaches instead. Once I got to know them I didn’t go to our beaches anymore.

Anne, you confused Chile with Argentina. Chile has good wines and seafood. Argentina has good beef, “mate” and Tango. But since I don’t know Chile perhaps they have good beef too 

I’m very keen on travelling (in other blogs I’ll tell the places I’ve been to), but I don’t know if I want to live abroad.

Anne, about my mistakes, thank you for remarking them.

If 1) the change should be made because I’m telling a piece of advice so I have to use should go instead of have to.
2) “as they are” . Maybe it is unnecessary?

1) I’ve lived here all my life
2) I met my husband
3) I put “have spent” because for me the weekend hadn’t finished yet. Is it incorrect?
4) At a speed
5) To have dinner or to dine
6) Here I have a doubt. I put Japanese restaurants; especially “the sushi” are in fashion. I put are because restaurants are plural.
7) Not only did it open my mind. It sounds better.

I understood the explanation between specially and especially. But I don’t know if I’ll put them correctly in the future.

Here are some answers for the readers

Ana Paula, I didn’t hear about Tony.
Hi Yanko, I’m glad you’ve come back. I’ll tell you more about Patagonia (at least the places I visited)
Chalida, you asked me about Iguazu Falls. Try to go in spring (October or November) or in autumn (April or may). I don’t remember if there are some facilities for people in wheelchairs but you can check that information on this link www.iguazu.com.ar/en/
Kirsty, I downloaded them from a local newspaper last year. And I forgot to tell you that the last time that snowed in Buenos Aires was 80 years ago.
Vladimir, in the South you can either ski or ice-skate.
Mercè, it is said that Catalonia is lovely. Argentina is very cheap for the tourists but not for us due to the rate exchange 1 U$S= 3.18 $. That’s the reason why there are so many tourists buying everything and having dinner for only U$S 32 per couple.
Deepu, thank you for being a supporter of our team!
Pary, I didn’t know Halab is the name for Aleppo. Thank you for that important piece of information. My father came to Argentina (with all his big family) when he was 12 but he never spoke about his country to me. However I’m curious about his background. In Argentina we had some electricity shortages too and if this winter is very cold perhaps we’ll have some gas shortage too. We are going through a big problem of energy right now.
Habooba, the rate inflation is about 25% per year.
Ajaz, Saudi Arabia sounds very exotic and mysterious to me. How is to live there?
Adek, Jion Lee and Mahjabeen, thank you for your comments.

Well I’ll close for now.

Bye Anne and Readers. Tomorrow I won’t be able to blog but see you on Wednesday.

Much love,

Xxxooo

Cris

Hi Cristina, It’s very good for you take after your self practice Yoga and Dance. I’m practicing Martial Arts called Aikido. Aikido help me to control my mind and my body too, but it’s not to much aerobic. The Doctor told me to practice aerobic exercise to avoid high blood pressure. I love Aikido but I have to do gym to get shape. I hope in one year come back to Aikido. Can you put some photos with asanas made by you? I thing Yoga it’s so interesting. Bye

What a shame, Cristina! I'm an Arab but I can't do belly-dancing. Last week in a party my friend's daughter performed a very professional, very beautiful dancing. We all sat wide-eyed and open-mouthed looking at her...Then we decided (me and two of my friends) to ask her to teach us... I'm looking forward to that.

Dear Cristina! That's great that BBC gives his readers to learn about so different countries from all over the world! I'm from Russia and here, unfortunately, I know about Argentina only from several soap operas with the participation of Natalia Oreiro. She was very popular some years ago in our country. But fortunately I'm not a coach potato and at the moment have no TV set at all, as I'm always on the go. In general watching TV is a very popular kind of rest among Russians especially in the regions. Do you like spend your time watching TV? Or what do you like to do at leisure? Just like you I often take a walk with my husband in the evening! I'm glad we have something in common! I'm looking forward to your next entry! Irina

Hi Cris: Thank you very much for your comments. As you, I think it's very good to do exercise for feeling healthier. I do gym at home and, on the other hand, sometimes I play tennis with my daughter. Really you are very nice with your dancing suit. I'm very surprised about that you have sewed it. Unfortunately sewing isn't one of my better skills, but perhaps someday I try to learn it. Thank you very much for your comment about Catalonia. Certainly it's lovely. It's near the Mediterraneo sea and climate is very very nice. I live in a town near the coast (about 20 minutes by car) ant it allows me to go to the beach for relaxing. Well, that's all for now. I wish you have a nice day!!!!! Bye bye. Mercè

Hi dear Cristina , At first thanks for your reply to me . Oh , you are a very active person . Like you I love sport and I know Yoga a bit and actually I do aerobics regularly at the sport center and in the home .But about dancing I have t confess that I 'm really poor although I wish I was good at it . I think Arabic dance ( belly dance ) is one of difficult dances , isn't it ? How was it at first . do you think every one can learn it ? well done Cristi , your dance dress is really artistic , I admire the women who can make their cloths . It's a big ability . Could you please say us about your job , what do you mean about working in a "study" ? Like you I don’t like to live abroad , specially when I see most of young persons of my country are keen on go abroad , I wonder . I know that there are more life facilities in other country but I think if I live in another country although as a citizen I won’t belong there any way and they will look at me as a foreigner . On the other hand like you I will miss my family and relative and the sound of my country , too . At the end thanks for your nice Blogs and byeeeee .

Hi Cristina! It’s not easy to compare the pleasure of moving body with anything. Dancing and sporting give us such a pleasant way of life. The most catching thing, in my opinion, is to master new skills. Your feeling more confident while day to day training, is incredible! So I share your passion about any sport activities.

Hi,Cristna i think you pulled the wool over my eyes, didn't you?no,no,no i am just pulling your leg.when i read your first blog you said you cann't dance Tango so I thought as I mentioned in my first comment for you we had in common. I really envy you and you look so attractive, healthy and beautyful. Are you sure you are over fourty? I think your husband is so lucky man.see you again!

What, you ever had been a ballerina? Great!

Hi Cris, I well come you (though late, as I could not spare time from my hectic schedule). I hat off to your mother. YOUR MOM IS GREAT. It seems that you love and respect your sister very much. I was ecstatic to know that you and your sister practicing yoga especially on seeing photo of your sister wearing a T-shirt printed on it “OM” emblem, a religious emblem of Hindu’s religion which is as sacred as a cross among Christians. I imagine that she have a good knowledge of Hindu religion also.I am of the opinion that every person who cross his/her 35 years must practice yoga to provide strength to our inner organs of body thus keep away of on-set of diseases generally linked to 40+ age. Its benefits are innumerable. It gives very much strength to lead peaceful, healthy and happy life. Here many of my colleagues practice yoga. Some persons may be seen while on work, on train (Rubbing of finger nails). Recitation of word “OooooooMmmmmm” (in some exercises) is considered integral part of Yoga. Have you and your sister ever been in India. Swami guru Ram Dev,(here Guru mean teacher) an ardent practitioner and inventor of many yoga exercises is a big name in yoga at present in India (perhaps in abroad also). Your sister may hone her yoga skills by attending a few classes (or may check from website his tour programme whether he visits or has his disciples in your great country also). I request all bloggers if they spot any mistake from my above text, please do comment. Have a nice day. With regards.

Hi Yanko, I abacked to see Hindi word "Asanas" used by you. In fact, in my blog I did not used this word intentionally. "Asana" being a hindi word, I did not used it in a confusion that our international bloggers will face difficulty in understanding its meaning. Now I felt that this word had migrated in English language. Good Bye.

Hi Cristina, it is said that a sporty activity gives a good confidence in our daily life, I really feel that dancing is a part of sport it help us to be always active, and one thing I would like to share that you are looking lovely in your wonderful dress.

(thats my first comment at BBC learning English! my heart jumps!) Hi Cristina !you have been so active , haven't you? about sports, I go swimming 2 times a week and it had made me lose my weight (I used to be fat)! although I haven't seen somebody dancing Arabic more that 2 or 3 times, I think Arabic dance is very nice !and by it's fast moves you can make your muscles strong! Does it have any kind or type ? (Arabic dancing I mean) try to have blogs about Argentina ! I haven't come to south America so far ! maybe you can encourage me visit there ! So long !and good luck !

Wow,I just read your blogs,I really admire your attitude. You make a lot of efforts to write whatever the pictures or contents.Could you say more about culture of your country?I am curious to know more about it.And you are beautiful.

Hi Cristina!I am glad to read your blog.I want to know the culture of Argentina(history, food, music, dancing, daily life and so on).I want you to try "sushi" in Japanese restaurant.Sushi is delicious and healthy. In Japan sushi is very expensive food,so Japanese can not eat sushi frequently. Is sushi in Arzentina expensive?By the way,I am interested in yoga. You say you can control your mind with yoga.I want to improve my concentration level. Is yoga useful in concentration?I look forward to reading next your blog.Have a nice day!

Hi Cris. It's a well known fact that argentinian women are pretty and have good shape, but now I realized it's not just a matter of genetic, but also an obsession. In other field, now you make me chuckle, because I have a five years old daughter, and she loved to watch "El Clon" and it's arabic dancing, as you did. Can you tell us what is your favorite food? Bye.

Hola Cristina, I must admit that I have some difficulties when writing Cristina without a “h” after the capital letter. I like to dance too but just in my own I mean not public performing but dances like “belly dance” are to be performed and I must say that it is a quite sensual dance. I knew about the internationally renowned Argentinean beef but I went, last week, for the first time to an Argentinean restaurant and the meat was really more than delicious. As delicious as to convert a vegetarian to carnivorous. Antonio

Hi Cristina! You look beautiful dressing on your belly dancing clothes :-). So you´ve watched The Clon, haven´t you? Well, Tony Mouzayk´s songs was part of The Clon´s sound track. Morover, he has participate of this soap opera. He´s sung in one of the Uncle Ali´s party :-). Best wishes, Ana Paula.

hi every body .iam very happy your attiute and very happy . i wisy you have very nice day
