Hi Yanko , What are you up to ? I know how much it 's difficult writing a blog late at night after a long work day ,so good for you and thanks for all your eforts . You know from begining of this month i have used youtube a lot just for your advice . I love dancing ( although i 'm completely poor in it ) and the Lambada is very emotional danc . I have seen sone BBC ballroom TV show for a while and it has gave me a view of different clasic and modern dance , has any one watched this program ? have a good time and byeeee

Hi Yanko! I have been reading your blogs from the beginning of the month. It gives me a good insight on to the life in such an exotic city you are living in. I may say the view of your workplace is unbelievable for me and long hours you stay up each day, too. But, from reading blogs I know now, Brasilians are very active, energetic positive persons. It is just oposit to me. But, there have been just revealed the reason of my steady worsen tiredness. At least I hope so, that it is only undetected and long time untreated anaemia. Recently, there didn´t help me even drinking my favourite espresso coffe, but now with eating iron pills long time I will be able to kill this problem of mine and mabe once again dance like in your country and smile. Hello Pary, here you are the explain. Favela is Portuguese word meaning shantytown. It´s poor area near town where people live in small house or Shanty. Shanty is a house made of wood, plastic, etc. Favela word is loan to English language. There is a link on the word Favela that connect to a dictionary. Thanks.

Hi Yanko!Lambada is very popular in Japan because about 10 years ago famouse TV program in Japan introduced Lambada and a lot of people in Japan tried to dance Lambada.Japanese have tendency to be too shy,but music-tempo and dynamic dance make Japanese like Lambada. I saw "Proper Brazilian Barbeque" in you tube.The lamb seems delicious and the happy smile of the navigator who ate the lamb is impressive.By the way,do peaple in Brazile usually eat rice at barbecue?Japanese usually eat rice at barbecue because rice is staple food of Japanese.Have a nice day!

Hi, Yanko! I am going to come back in Italy too – take some rest on the resort. I was in Rome some time ago but only for 2 days. I spent them walking around the city centre. It was a summer and the weather was too hot. I was told that Rome has fountains which anybody can use to drink water but I was afraid to do that. So I was very thirsty and a Russian woman who was worked in the tea shop in the city centre saved me from dying without water. She allowed me to fill bottle with water in her shop. And she gave me a slice of apples pie which she had made herself. At the time when I was in Rome I had very small amount of money and cannot spent them baying water or food. I had to be sleeping in the chair in the airport even because had not money to rent a hotel room. My friends who once were in Rome too were sleeping near a church in their sleeping bags. They were out of money too. But to be in Rome is all the same good pleasure, isn’t it?

Hi, Yanko. As far as I understand from your the last blog, Brazilians usually cook at barbecue. It seemed to me barbeque is used only for party time and it brings some unusual in cooking. Barbeque is really very common thing in Brazi? Do you use it for everyday cooking? I do like cooking and I’m skillful in cooking a few Ukrainian dishes. My favorite dish is appleduck, if I may to call duck staffed with apples like this. Thanks, Yanko, for colorful blog.

Hello Yanko and everybody!!! I love barbecue too. So, I think that you and me could be good friends :). I didn`t know anything about Lambeorbica but in my country happened something similar with the "salsa", "merengue", reggaeton" and others latin kinds of music. It is called "bailoterapia" that is something like dance`s therapy and it is a mixture among aerobics and latin music. Well, see you next time....

I am Richa From India..just 3 days back only i got link of this blog site for learning English..thats a fantastic idea to improve English by talking general things in daily routine...yesterday I posted a comment on Trudi's blog also but unfortunately it has not got place in comment section...well I appreciate your effort to learn English..as in our country also writing and speaking fluent English is an unavoidable key for job opportunities ..but at the same time is good and fun to learn new languages..as there is a saying knowledge never goes waste.You have written about some Brazilian dishes.In India we have many different type of dishes for every single state here.North Indian cooking style is totally different from the south Indian style.It also depend on the food material availability in that region. I mean for example in south India Rice and Coconut are main crop so they use it in almost every dish of them similarly in north side wheat,all type of milk products,and pulses are main integrant of food.

First of all I want you to know I'm enjoying a lot what you're doing just telling people around the world about interesting things in our country - yes, I'm Brazilian, too. You've mentioned lots of important points in our culture, and I'm so surprised no one has asked about samba and carnival, usually it's the first thing people want to know when I mention my nacionality. Hi, Yanko! If you are thinking about improving your English in Vancouver, itÂ’s not a bed choice. Frankly , I hasnÂ’t visited Vancouver. ItÂ’s very far form Montreal. Actually, itÂ’s cheaper to fly to London then to Vancouver from here. Although there are some great language schools in Montreal and it is a beautiful city, the most outsideÂ’s communications are in French. However, you could stay in English-speaking community without remarking French-speaking one. Here there are some links for language schools in Montreal. Wherever youÂ’ll study English in a language school, one of the most important points, in my opinion, is the possibility to live in English-speaking family during studying. Bye-bye, Vlad.
