I’m a coffee addict

Hello Trudi and Readers, today I’ll writing about my big problem, coffee.
I’m a coffee addict. Nowadays, I only drink three small cups of coffee a day. In the past, I had between 10 to 15 cups every morning.

The coffee properties, can stimulate the brain, improving attention, avoid sleepiness after lunch and combat Alzheimer's disease.
However, the person can get this properties made in the body if the person drink until 6 cups per day.

Some people like me, when have a problem to solve, they drink a lot of coffee to keep attention on the problem because this people don’t want to lose any detail.

I work with project software management and I have to prepare plans to manage the project with timeline, risks can happen during the execution and all requirement that describing the product to make. For the average project, the timeline have between 100 to 150 tasks to make around 130 software artifacts.

To manage the project and make the team work together to build all software artifacts is not easy. The project manager have to pay attention in all detail and all risks can happen like the computer broken, power outage, the technical member get flu, etc.

During the project, the project manager, one time will feel tired, and he or she drinks some coffee to improving attention. During the coffee break the project manager can talk about other subject and this help to relax and some time help to solve some problems about the project.

I always exaggerate and I drink a lot of cup of coffee. This cause me insomnia and the next day my productivity go down.

This insomnia happen, because the brain would rather caffeine than adenosine (The substance says to your brain you have to sleep).

A lot of coffee makes me feel very excited and sometimes makes me impatient and nervous and this has affected my professional relationship with other team members. I’ve argued with all my colleagues. A friend of mine told me to avoid coffee and find another way to keep focused.

From this day, I gave up coffee during on month and after this month I’ve been maintaining until 3 cups of coffee. It’s makes me feel better.

Despite of this story, I love so much coffee, but only to taste.

I have to go because it’s 01:15 am and I have to work tomorrow.

Bye

Yanko

Hi Yanko, Tea is more popular here. Different models of tea are available here. Herbal Tea - Put green leaves (herbal) into one cup boiling water. Add sugar according to taste. After 1-2 minutes add milk. Herbal Tea is ready. Herbal Tea is considered good for ailments such as headache, cold etc. Ayurvedic tea (also considered best for certain ailments) Kahva Tea (traditional tea of Kashmir province of India made of green leaves, almonds, etc.) Black Tea -tea without milk. It is used in north-east states of India. Lemon Tea - (in lieu of milk lemon juice is used). If you hung up with overdose of wine, its use helps to restore you. Standard Tea (International version) addiction spared none. Overdose of either Coffee or Tea, hampers health to a great extent. Taking tea after lunch, dinner creates problem of constipation that causes piles. I assume, Tea and Coffee both are real sisters. It is said that excess of everything is bad. So, it is good that you realized the demerits of coffee at a right time. Stick to your resolve and enjoy good health. Have a good day.

Hi Yanko, I was going through the topics all that you have posted till now. It is very interesting and informative especially on carnival shows and it gives the feel to yearn for watching these shows. And, when you talked about the coffee addiction and relaxation at work place which makes me to throw some lights on how I used work in my office and get rid off stress due to work pressure. I used to feel the work place as most enjoyable place than any other where we used to spend more of our life time, at least we spend more hours in office than at home. So first thing that I make myself comfortable not to get the feel of being at office or working hard so I used to listen music always, that too almost all the time. I would say this is one of the big advantages of being software professional for music lovers like me. It would be nice to know more about on what else that you follow to relax at work place. Since you are into project management side, I think you are the right person to ask about time management and planning. If you could tell more about how good we can schedule our activities and how to stick to it. As these things are we used to carry on not only for official matters but also in our day-to-day life. You know I am posting this comment from my office and it is another activity, which I follow at work. Reading blogs, chatting, googling, watching movies, you tube clips and of course working ;-) ! apart from the big stress reliever of listening music are the few activities that I used carry out during my work. So it is kind of multitasking executed in this mechanical life. Because of these I feel more energetic and relaxed which helps to do my job better. Looking forward to get more interesting stuffs from your blog and enjoying it. ciao.. Vijay

Hi Yanko, it sounds you drink a lot of coffee; I hope your stomach can tolerate it. I also like a cup of coffee, but only in the mornings. During the day I drink tea or water, sometimes I may have a coffee drink. A coffee bean doesn’t grow in Finland, the beans are imported items. I believe we import them mostly from your part of the world. I understood well the challenges of your job, a lot of tasks to perform.

Hello Yanko. I think that everything in excess is bad, even exercise and vitamins. I used to drink coffee, but never more than two cups a day. Nowadays I don't drink coffee anymore, I prefer tea. With your rate of coffee consumption your insomnia is logical, moreover if you drink guaraná too. Do you like like guaraná? Bye.

Trudi,I think you posted an exiting topic, specially for me, because i am dealing with this proplems too. I used to dreank cofee a lott, and could not find it a way to reduce or to stop it at all until recently. i became addiction of coffee, everysince that i want to do some excersise , i must have taken a coffee, this made me a crasy to do anything without it.But fortunetly, i have never had any kinf of sickness which is coused of coffee. but let me reveal the reason why i managed it to quit. first of all , i realize that having a coffee all the time is not good for health and have to do with something in order to keep a good condition of my body, so i decided to minimize my procuder dreanking of koffee, twice a day, for instance, instead six times a day.

Hello, Yanko. Take good care of yourself and of your colleagues. Drink coffee or whatever and everything's going to be all right. Have a nice day. P.S. I would call you a "coffeeman" instead of a "coffee addict".

Hi, Yanko! You are like my mom: she always drinks so much coffee! After all, she began to complaint to her stomach. Clear water, 8 glasses per day is the best way to stay healthy. Kuldeep from India have done some useful comments; a few of them were news for me. So I can say “thank you” to Kuldeep. How I understood, Yanko, your work is hard enough. How I can see, you have another advises from India how to do your job more enjoyable :).

Hi Yanko. Well, I think that all the extrems are bad. So, Im happy because you are dropping your average of cups of coffee per day Great!! :). I love coffee too, but I only drink a cup of coffee per day in the morning. The Venezuelan coffee has a great quality, so I love it. Did you try Venezuelan coffee? What type of coffee do you prefer? Take care

Hi Yanko, Have you ever tried açaí or/and guaraná? You will never need/want coffe anymore. As for me...I can't stand pure coffee. Just a little bit in a cup of milk. I'm not addicted to milk though, neither tea. However I feel desperate when I go to a place where they don't offer any juice. Take care Adriana

Hi Yanko! I love coffee too. However, I can´t have many cups of it because I have a terrible gastritis. Anyway, one of my small pleasures is going to Copenhagen Café( the same store which sells the wonderful chocolates, do you know what I´m talking about Yanko?) and take a cup of their expresso. Ooooh it´s so delicious :-). Best wishes, Ana Paula.

Hi yanko! in Egypt tea is preferable than coffee.usually i drink tea when i have headache.

You are obvisouly full of beans and the problem has been solved from time immemorial i d from the invention dating back to 7 century AD or so. The best discussions and disputes and legal consideration - no surprise - are from the Osman Era in Turkey. This topic seems to be an evergreen and it does not matter whether we drink the robusta from Brazil or sweet and small Arabica sort. And this series of posts is enjoyable to read and makes a substantive update to coffee dilemma (after all, Johann SEbastian Bach is known for his Coffee cantata as well) Fine.

Hi Yanko, I can totally understand your job - project manager. It really needs to have a clear brain to handle everything regarding project, even the relationship. I drank 2-3 cups of coffee everyday before, but for health, I have changed to drink tea everyday. If you can, tea is more healthy than Coffee, and it's helpful to have a clear brain, too.

Hi,Yanko,I am a software developer,I like coffee ,too.Because the logo of java is a cup of coffee.

hello Yanko, don't worry about a great quantitie of coffe that you drunk ou drink. Iam an accounter and drink something near of 20 cups of coffe per day, and sleep very weel and Iam very energized. I recomend coffe for all on worldwide, mainly if the coffe is seemed with the Minas Gerais coffee the king of coffee kings. by see ya
