My Holidays in 2006
Hello readers,
Today I’ll tell you about my vacation in 2006 with my wife and kids.
In this trip I drove 3600Km and I stayed in a lot of cities. I started at Rio de Janeiro and I drove for 12 hours and I arrived at city called Huberlandia in Minas Gerias. The road wasn’t good because there were a lot of holes and I had to stop at this city to sleep because I was exhausted.
Next day I started the next part of my trip and 6 hour after I arrived at Rio Quente (Hot River) in Goias.
Rio Quente is a Resort with four hotels and a lot of pools with hot spring water.
The hot water comes up naturally from the ground and come from the river too. The water could flows among the pools, it moves in a steady continuous stream.
When I had contacted with the hot water my body relaxed totally and I didn’t want to do anything anymore.
We could spent all day floating on our back in the hot water only to relaxing the mind and the body.
There are two small pools with 45o C and you couldn’t stay there for more 20 minutes because it was not good for the arterial pressure.
A put the photo with me and my son with three pools and one of them with hot water fall.

There were other activity that was very enjoyable and exciting like scuba dive in the river or go to water park with a lot of water slides.

We could stroll in the big garden and feeling the nature.

One week after, I went to another city called Campinas in São Paulo to know a big park called Hopi Hare.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t took pictures because my camera had broken.
After Campinas I came back Rio de Janeiro and I stopped in more two cities in Minas Gerais to buy a typical regional food and souvenirs.
That’s all
With best wishes,
Yanko

Hi Yanko! you seem lively and nature lover like me :), I tell you the most funniest thing about me I have not visited such a beautiful area yet but I love to feel morning breeze touching my face everyday and sun rise to fill a new hope in my heart everyday. And I use to have a walk on the roof of my house here in Lahore. For last 5 years I have not missed even a single morning getting up early to see sunrise... Lahore is a historical city of Pakistan, known as "City of Gardens" or Heart of Pakistan. Your post is not only intersting but also informative. The language you used is easy enough to be understood. keep on writing :)
Hello, Yanko! I thought that only in Russia we have one of the only two problems: the roads. You know, here in Russia we used to say we have two problems: the fools and the roads (meaning their miserable quality, or sometimes you could say its absence). Speaking about the fools I might say that in every place you can find the people you could treat as a fool. I liked the story about the resort with hot water springs. I had a trip last summer to the similar place. The temperature of the water coming out of the earth filling the pool was 38-39 degrees above zero (Celcium). The outer temperature was 35-37 above zero. Because of the high temperature we couldn't stay long in it.The water contained big amount of minerals and salts. It was good for our help. Hope it was good for your help too.
Hi yanko, What is your this year holiday plan? I welcome to visit India. There are lot of tourist spot in my country. lost of beaches, wonderful mountains, historic places like Taj mahal, many temples and many great sceneries . make your mind to visit India.
Hi,Yanko It’s nice to meet you and I do enjoy your posts very much. It seems I am about to be educated your country’s cultures and daily life throughout your letters. I certainly do not want to miss out on the chance and fun and I am looking forward to reading your next posts. By the way, have you watched a TV program called “Topgear” from BBC? The reason why I mention is when I saw your picture first time on the student blog I mistook you for Jeremy Clarkson who is one of the presenters of the program. Have a nice weekend!
Yanko, driving for 12 hours sounds exhausting. You also mentioned hot water springs; I have come across them in Greece. When reading you entry today, it made me realize how large country Brazil really is. Have a good weekend.
Hi Yanko. My aunt has been to Rio Quente and she´s loved it! Although I live in São Paulo state I´ve never visited Hopi Hari. It´s strange, isn´t it? :-) Therefore, it´s easier to me to go to São Paulo because of the location of my city. Best wishes, Ana Paula.
I am not sure where we are going, because just writing is not method of learning. Although there is not benefit to write wihtout some one to check the style of writing and it is not harmful too. go ahead and I am hoping there is some one to comment about our writings and let us know what problem we have in writing. BBC Learning English says: Hello Baba, If you go to the "Teacher Blogger page" you will find that Trudi, this month's teacher, gives all sorts of useful language points based on the student blog. I hope this will help you!
Hi, Yanko¡ As you can see I am Spanish and as a good Spanish I love football, so I hope one day tell us something about a famous footballer; you know, here in Spain there are some Brazilian footballers. Any way; I read your last blog about Rio de Janeiro and I think you are very luky beause of living in this beautiful city. Best wishes¡
Minas typical regional food is fantastic indeed.
I'm astonished that you have made a 3600 kilometres journey. For me it would have beeen impossible. You must like driving very much to do such a tiring trip, but all is well if end well, and I can see, for what you say, that you enjoyed your holiday and that is what matters. See you soon.
Dear Yanko, Thank you very much to provide us virtual trips to such lovely places. The photos you have put up talk a lot about those places. These photos reminded me about my trip to sea beach in India and Water kingdom in Calcutta. I have not enjoyed hot water springs even in Nepal. In some parts of my country, there are such hot water ponds available. People used to talk that those hot water spring and ponds possess some medical remedies for several skin diseases. Is their any belief that these hot water ponds are beneficial for skin diseases? Have you tried to find out what is basic reason behind these hot water ponds?
Hi Yanko and everyone, Thanks for posting enticious photos depicting natural beauty your country posses. It would have been better if you mention the names of your children also. It seems that travelling to seeing worth places is one of your's hobbies, am I right?
Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
