I agree with you;learning a new language is always a challenge. Improving a language means involving in its culture, its people, its customs...and so on. I guess your English is good enough because of your experienced with your jobs: working as a translater is a good work to practise any language. Never mind, In the previous comments I guessed as most of the readers that your were from Russia. I even wrote, in Cyrillic, what I thought was the name of the place. Hi dear...how are you? it seems u r enjoying snowfall there...well here we are very unfortunate that we never saw snowfall in my whole life and don’t know how it feels but when I am looking to you it seem its very cold and unbearable weather there, isn’t it? Wowwww Great profile u has. Well its shows that how much you are enthusiastic about learning English and I think its good effort, when we start doing new thing we always keen to know everything about that, and the same you did but with concentration and willingness which is good. and after some time you are going to be married and when u waiting for someone special then the things become nice and looks attractive isn’t it...its my view, I don’t know how other feels. I've been both learning and teaching English for years, and have always felt as if I were an eternal beginner...One day you'll find that your hair is turning grey but you are still lingering at the bottom of this huge mountain - the Language...lol What EFL materials, what types of exercise (apart from translation drills) have you found the most effective? Speaking of books, have you read "The Wind in The Willows"? It's my favourite English classic... Good luck with your language learning and wedding preparations! I hope your future husband won't get jealous because you devote so much of your time to languages lol (My hubby does get frustrated at times)

Hi, Anastasia, it's me again, the young fellow who lives in the little town 100 kilometres to the south from your city. It's a little, little world, that we could meet in the global net. I'm impressed by your achievements in studying English and that you used it in getting jobs so perfectly. As for me I studied English in the profissional liceum "техникум". Though, I interested in studying English even in school, but in the liceum I had got a greeat teacher. He helped me very much. Being studying in the liceum I took the trip to England together with my teacher and another one. Exactly we've been to the UK, 'cause we've been to the Scotland(Dumphris&Galloway - special greetings to William Canon) and to the England (York - Ian for our pity has died). And what parts of the UK you have been to? Three months is such a long term. You must have ridden the UK straight&across. Now I'm leaving to Perm to pass the final exams at the Academy. If everything is getting fine, 2 months later I'll get the diploma in jurisprudence. See you in the blog.

The ending –ova is common in Russia, isn’t it? This ending is also used in Slovakia but nowadays this is optional. I loved your picture of piglets. I live in a teeny-weeny village that has a population of about 630. Almost every person keeps some animals. Some people raise pigs, poultry or rabbits, others keep dogs and cats only. I think your English is perfect (what a level!!!) and your writing is surprising. Where I live (Catalonia a region of Spain), we have two official languages: Catalan and Spanish. In fact, my native language is catalan, all my friends and family speak it. We speak the two languages. My name Mercè (in Catalan), is Mercedes in Spanish. It was the name of my grandmother.
