Spam Manager!!!
Paul (BBC Learning English)
Hello everyone, sorry for getting in the way again but I have an update on the comments issue. The spam manager has been a little bit over-eager in managing comments and 'disappearing' some of the things that you have sent in.
The techie team think they can fix it and they are working on it as I type, so we hope to have a new version soon. In the meantime we have managed to get the spam manager to give up its hoard of comments and we are adding the missing ones to this message and to the message that I will post in the teacher's blog. We may not have got them all back but we're publishing the ones that we do have.
Sadly it is impossible to post the comments to the actual blogs but at least you will be able to see and read the missing comments over the last few weeks.
Bye for now
Paul

Here are your comments: Tiasha, srilanka Dear Anita, I wish you a happy and prosperous new year. This is my third attempt writing comment to your blog. I think Paul new spam manager has eaten my comments. I hope that this will appear on the comment page. Anita, it is a pleasure to your interesting , informative and frienly blogs. I really admire you and your dedication and consistent to learn english every way that you get. As you had written I read a lot in english every day too, but not story books. I hardly get time to read story books. I read bbc world news almost everyday. Anita, you have motivated me, to study more like you. As you , I have two children(girls ages 19,16)the oldest in college and the second child with us. she is tenth grader. She makes me busy . At home I have to all my house chors by myself.Sometimes I get fed up. But this is life. Take it and go for it. Most mothers who often ignore themself and do things for sake of their kids and family. Whar you have done for yourself lately? I think now on I have to take care of myself and do things for myself. Anita, You have very lovely family. god bless you. Keep in toch with us. kind regards. Domenico Italy It's the first time that I hear some stuff so weird, original! Who attach the label in the toilet?
Anita, talking of bookshops, there used to be a lovely little bookshop in Budapest, called 'Litea'. I can't remember exactly where it was but it was housed in a lovely old building but was very modern inside: lots of wood and glass and natural light. There was a small teashop to one side of the bookshop, where they specialised in English tea blends and gorgeous home-made cakes. The staff were young and knowledgeable and very helpful. Could it have been in the Old Town? Does it still exist? Do you know anything at all about it? I haven't been to Budapest for over 10 years now but I have been recommending this bookshop to everyone I know who visits Budapest ever since I was last there. It could be useful to know whether it is still there. Best wishes
This is very interesting is easy suppused how the language English is in all the places in the world
Hi Ana, I have the same question with " to me, or, for me"? Best Regards. James
Hi Anita, Iam so much pleased about the way you have written your essay about your dear relationship with your family.I would only like to encourage you to continue with such a nice relationship and I think God will really bless you in everything you do .If Iam not wrong , God has already blessed you in your course and that is why people like myself are praising you for your good work.May the Almighty continue to shower you with BLESSINGS! Best regards, Malou Joseph.

Ana Paula, life is frantic just now, but I do hope to write a new blog next week. Also tell the truth I have purposely tried to keep a low profile so that everyone would have a change to make their mark. All is well though; we had a very heavy snow fall yesterday here making the nature so beautiful. We are going to do skiing this weekend. All the best until next time.
hi, its good to be in bbc learning english.past 6 months I am visiting this site its good to be here.I can speak english, and make fun in englsh.Stephen realy he is a greaat man who helps us lot to learn english and enjoy the language.
Hi Anita, you usually read e-mails of your friend three times at least, it's really something and a good way to get improvement. I sometimes plan to read BBC LE Blog 3 times as your way, but I often did 1 or 2 times reading only. As this blog you mentioned again, I should try harder to read 3 times at least. Thanks for your reminding. Best Regards. James
I'm really interested in anti aging and loses weight! Thank you, Naheed. It's easy to understand what are the benefits of yoga. Is there anything else particular change of your body by doing yoga?

Hi anita, I agree with you that the best way to improve English is reading many hours. I love reading, and as you I do it every day in mi time-off. I supoose you are an excellent cooker. Could you explain all of us how do yo do the chocolate's cake? (the receipt) I would like to know your country someday.I think it's a beautiful place. Best wishes from Spain

I should get back to work now :) had really fun reading and replying to your blog writing. see ya!

Hi Anita. As you I love reading. Recently I have discovered BBC learning and I hope to make a lot of friends (and of course improve my English). Really I enjoy with your comments. As you said one day, for me family is the first priority. I have a daughter who is 15. Also I read books in English (only easy and translated books) and don't use the dictionary altough I don't understand all the words. I think the most important is to understand the context. I'm a reader of all kind of books (especially novels). As someone says sometime: Reading make you a better person. Have a nice day!!! Mercè
Hi all first happy new year . i m searching any website which can help me for improvement in english .. then i find bbc learning ..i m very happy to see that there are some indians and pakistani are also here .. ASHISH

Hi James , It was really interesting to know about your memories as a reader and as a Bloger . Oh , my goodness , I can’t believe it , you 've spent 5 hours for your daily Blog entries ! So it's good that I haven’t had the chance to be a student Bloger . My free time at home is really limited , I have just up to two hours every day for my self . It has been always my question that how active workwomen can manage their daily routine to be more active ( I 'me eagerly looking forward your answers , dear Leila and Aderiana ) ? And , all that you said about being a reader and commentator was some thing from my down heart . I always like those Blogers who reply directly to their comments more . Have a nice weather and bye

Anyway, many thantks for your generosity to me as well as my warmest greetings to all other bloggers, students and teachers. Adriana you are not alone there on the other site of the world. Hi Paul. Nice to see you! As you see I'm new in the blog. Recently, I discovered it, after doing an on-line English course. Really it has been a very good thing for me because it's the best oportunity to improve my English, Also, I enjoy knowing people from all the world, and especially, people who is interested in a lot of little things that happen us every day. I learn many things about life reading the blog. Congratulations for it. Have a nice day! Mercè
Hi Adriana. It's a pity you can't see the New's Year concert on TV. As Anita, I think it's a perfect moment for begining the New Year. Every first of year, my family and me sit down in front of TV, on the sofa, to enjoy the concert. Perhaps someday you'll see it!!!!! See you soon!!! Mercè
I Ana Paula. Thank you for the links of music. I love classical music. Here in Spain, the weather is crazy, too. This winter is not so cold. Today, where I live, whe have the wind with us. See you soon!!!! Mercè

I'm really interested in anti aging and loses weight! Thank you, Naheed. It's easy to understand what are the benefits of yoga. Is there anything else particular change of your body by doing yoga?
Hi Anita, You are right about the great numbers of comments that we want to read and post an answer. I abandoned the idea to read almost everything. I reckoned that I need to take a few days off in order to do this up to 23 January. It sounds me crazy idea, so I read my favorite bloggers' comments only. I feel a bit obsessed by that site. I am trying to give up this addiction but it is not easy, trust me. Obviously, everyone in these blogs makes efforts to write a good post, but reading all posts seems to me like sitting in the cafe and listening everyone's conversations - a little bit useless activity. Do you agree with me? Of course you can find interesting people here and essential ideas too, but it should take oneself modest amount of time. I feel I'm pilfering from my time, devoted to my family to be on the net more than year ago. That is one of my New Year's resolution - to limit the time I spend on the Internet only about truly important things no for entertainment. I hope this opinion doesn't sound as bad negative assessment of the BBC Site, I spent hundreds of hours here. I am just trying to avoid obsession. It's always pleasure for to read posts from old friends. Take care Diema
Hi Ana... Great photograph you have taken Ana. By the way it seems you are a nature loving person isn’t it. Ya Adri is a great photographer, she trying to capture all her lovely moments of life in color full memories, I think its good because its helps us to come out from sorrow and loneliness. Well keep taking your colorful memories thorough photography and don’t forget to do exercise, ya one more thing I am requesting herewith to your mom to give you permission for purchasing bike. Take care Keep smiling Manoj “Monu”
Living by one's own effort is life's most pleasure. I think your brother gave him a life-long gift.
Hi, Ana Paula. I sent you a couple of comments during this session. But none of them was published. I don't know why. But you know how sad I am!! By the way,I am very, very happy to know your sister has come back. I always enjoy your story. Please keep coming back!!
hello satya, i read your blog related to shaastra.even i participated in shaastra in a competition named "aesthetique".i belong to hyderabad.right now pursuing BE in prod engg from vasavi college of engg.
Hello Anita. This is the first time I write a comment to you. When your were student blogger I didn't know anything about the blog. I'm writing this comment to say that I have the same problem as you, high level of cholesterol in blood. The doctor said to me that I should go on a diet. The worst of it is that I leart about my condition just before Christmas. So Christmas time have been very hard for me. I also hope tha with a little effort to reduce it, although it'll be a bit hard because, like you I'm not overweight, my eating perhaps weren't as healthy as yours but, on the other hand I've always done a lot of exercise. Never is to late to change your bad habits. See you soon
Hi Adriana Thank you for asking me what i have been doing. Certainly, last week has been very busy for me. I have been working very hard and last weekend I have been helping my daughter with her exams. This week is plenty of exams for Mercè, my daughter, but I enjoy myself studying with she. Specially when we practise English because she has a high level. Now she is fifteen, but since she was ten, she has been going to Ireland every summer. I'm sorry my English is no so good. I hope to learn a lot with BBC, specially in the blog. Kindest regards!!!!! Be happy!!!!! Mercè
Hello, Ana Paula! This is the first time I write directly to you although I’ve read your comments before, but now I have a chance to ‘speak’ to you. I discovered this site only last summer. It contains so much stuff to learn that I already feel I am missing much of it ‘cause there is not enough time to read all what they are updating weekly. My favourite programme is ‘Webcast’ ‘cause they are offering diverse topics that suit my taste. I am so enchanted with the temperament of you Brazilians that seems to be outgoing. It is refreshing to me because people here are rather withdrawn. I’m glad that you sister is well. A person can be the richest man or woman in the world but if they aren’t healthy they may as well be the poorest in the world, it wouldn’t make any difference to them. So, the most important thing for me is health and the second most important thing is love. If you don’t have enough love you can also become sick. The lack of love can make you feel miserably. Benka from Niš
Hi Naheed. Thank you for teaching us the types of yoga. It's interesting! I'm getting to try to yoga but my body is not flexible. Is it alright to do yoga? At least I should do more stretching to make my body flexible! By for now. James (Zhih-Cheng Wu) Taiwan Hi Ana, nice to hear your sister is getting well, there is a saying:” one in hospital, whole family is on the way.” He meaning is that if one member of family is in the hospital, then, the other members of family have to one the way to hospital to take care of the patient in turn. We are all great to know your family is better now. By the way, it’s a pleasure to read your blog. Best regards to your family, James
Satya, as you say: ”Life is creative”, good to see you are as resourceful as before.
Ana Paula, good to hear your sister is at home again. It is very worring when someone is ill. Let us all keep our fingers crossed that she will recover very soon.
Yumi, good to see you coming in, unfortunately I missed you during your time of blogging. Ginza… it is a very affluent place, isn´t it? I have once been there, so maybe I could say that I have a small amount of first hand experience! I envy you having such a shopping paradise.
Hi dear Anita , The sites were really useful . My dream fly . What a beutiful places ! Thanks and byeeee
Hi Naheed, thanx a million for your very useful information on yoga. One question, is there a age-limit for starting yoga, if not what kind would be suitable for my ten-year-old? many thanks in advance...
Hi, I regret that I have not been able to give you any feed back as a commentator. Today I went through the tutor section and gave our tutors a personal comment each. But... I am afraid that I am running out of time to personalize a comment to everyone right now. You may remember that I have been travelling again, and due to that, my free time is limited just now. I hope this small note reaches you in good spirits. Yoga is good!
Hi Anita! Thank you for being so generous to me. I do know you more than a year now and you were that and your excellent English who and which made me to read this page each day since. And later on Lewis as he asked people to try this area. Comparing to you or other blogers I find my English on the same level but these days I realized I am able to write and react on your post almost instanly and fluently without much thinking. Never mind they didn´t appear. So Rachel W. you may definitely confirm your reaserch how useful this small comment space is. Thank the good project, thank to all staff on the BBC!
First I have to say that I'm new to the blog, and your title "Yoga" is really impress me because I am learning it too. I began to learn it with the purpose to lose some weight, however it seems that yoga is not a good choice for people who is solicitous to lose weight, but still, I've been enjoying it so much.Let's just do it like a habit, isn't that good?
Hi Ana, A real nice photo, shinning face, healthy feeling. Incidentally, I commented on your blog a lot, some didn't show up, I am not sure this one can be shown. Best wishes, James
Hello Leila! I found today this blog site and your stories. Really interesting and I admire your skill of writing. I have born in the neighbour municipality south of Oulu and as you told about the weather it sounded so familiar. You are right that the global warming is affecting and it is not good. Even I don´t like frosts this kind of dark, slippery and wet weather is not what I like either. I think I will be a regular visitor in this site for now on. Thank you.
Hi Pual , Now i feel better , i 'm realy grateful . sen my hello to all BBC LE .Have fun and bye
Hi,Thanks a lot for your 's suggesions how to learn english because I am here where nobady can speak english. I am a minority in here which is a athlit group in Xinjaing. In here , as far as minority are concerned, haven't even been arranged the english class. it is so bad for us to learn a foreign language,so I have to say thanks all of you.
Hello Adriana Helena! I cannot forget to mention both your names. I liked to read too as dear Amy had explained to us about creating the name to that little thing in her arms. Each of us would be excited embracing that boy, would´t we? In coincidene in that unpublished comment I had revealed to you how my mum call me, that is simply an abbreviation on ´Mari´ which is pronounced with open mouth and full ´r´ not as in English or French. I would pronounce in the same way Adri! Anyway, this is only such a foolish think. I am pleased your today´s entry is cheerul as you ever have been and it is good you feel happy these days.(Girl when do you actually sleep?) Your fourth paragraf sounds good. I wrote to Paul too and I don´t bother normally about not published comments but this is for me such great event, I am pleased we are feeling the same. Many more pleased as whnen I won a lotery in December -first time. There were 20 sk (absolutely ridiculous cash) in a bag of crisps, but I ´ve had a profit of 3 sk, Hurrah! Don´t forget you look pretty like the film star along with Ana Paula and Naheed, I will try your portraits some day. This I do only for whom choose I alone! More photos is going to please me. Sincerely
Hi Naheed! H ru? Sorry i forget to read the student bloggers. I've just read the blogs of previous students. Its nice to hear from all of you even i haven't read all the blogs. Im agreewith everyone else that you are looking great:). Anyways your text messages are v nice and funny ;)so keep sending. Takecare and bye.
Ciao,Antonio, nice to meet you,you have nice beard, nice dogs and speak good English.Good luck with your studies.

Hello, Naheed! I surely do remember you! The colour of your shirt in the picture is my type of the colour. It's interesting how the members of our family know how to catch us unawares without provoking anger in us and we still look good in those pictures. It may be because they know us well. Yours Benka from Niš
Hello Adriana. A few days ago I sent a comment to thank you for remember me despite the brief comment I sent to you when a few month ago you were the student blogger. Here in Almería, the town where I live it isn't hot but neither cold. The average temperature in winter is about 2o degree celsius, and in summer always below 35 degree celsius. We have a lot of sun. There are about 320 sunny days in the year. On the other hand it's a bit windy. Anyway,I think we have the better weather in all Spain. How someone else say the winter weather in Almería is like the summer weather in the UK. Well, for me these are too many words for one comment. See you soon.
Hi Anita, Visiting England, and especially London is one of my dreams, happy on you...
Hi James , You are fantastic , what a special gift from you . But i think i have made a typo mistake in spelling my name , my name is Pary not Pan , which means fairy if you want to know . I 'm sorry i can't see your previous Blog with it's specail hot subject . i wana to know other Bloger and readers issue about differen toilet . I 'm looking forward your other creative isues and bye best wishes
What about Rosana ? I hope she gets better very soon ( finger crossed ) . What a beautiful names your sisters have , Roseli and Rosana . If I allowed I would call my feature ( Don’t get it wrong , I 'm not pregnant ! ) daughter Rosana , but unfortunately in my country we can’t name our kids with foreign names and specially with western names . Is there something like that in your country ? But I guess my answer , Brazil is such a multicultural country that you can name your children with any name from any culture , can't you ? I wana to join your spare tyre club too , but I know my problem is serious and I don’t exaggerate , at all . Your description about blaming every thing unless our overeating , was really humorous ! But really it 's true most of the time . Any way , about your friend I think about two Kilogram of our extra weight , might be because of swelling up , innit ? Dear Ana , have you ever take any aerobic class ? I ' m not sure what do you mean about Body system class , but I used to take aerobic class for more than two years and that was fantastic . It gave me extra Energy and good sprit , beside of body fitness . Have a nice weekend and send my hello to your mom and sisters So long and byeeeee .
Thank you so much dear friend! You have a million dollar smile and looking very cute. I hope Rosana is well now. Kisses, Naheed
Moi!Leila, I am very happy to get this blog started by you. I'm completely new in this blog, hope I will get chance to learn something. Originally I'm from Nepal, but now I'm studying in Finnish university.
Hi, James. It's my first comment to your entry. I had not come the site yet at the time of your term. But I read all of your intent entries and moved very much. You are so committed person! I am really happy that I can contact you. By the way,we Japanese used to use the squat-style toilet. But now most of them are replaced by the sitting one with shower and heater. It is interesting to view another culture from the bottom.
Hello Paul, this is a very, very good idea indeed. I congratulate you and the people who made this possible; being an interactive way is the most practical manner to learn any language. I did learn Basic English by myself, here in Ottawa. Here is my challenge: to write Canadian or American English. I would like to be able to participate and at the same time learn more English; I really need to do it.
Wowl! I always took this moment to relax and sometimes even to meditate but it’s because I have something to sit down… Nothing to sit down? It must be, at least, odd!
Salaam Aleikum Naheed. Yes Egypt was great.
Hi Paul! We have to thank you for this possibility to read about all our beloved teachers and student bloggers again. The idea is great and big excitement and pleasure for me. I put the note here for, despite the fact I wrote comments to most of the published blogers it turns out today that even my PC at work failed tottaly. Warm greetins to everyone!
Hello and Welcome James! The toilet subjet is very interesting. I haven't used a squat toilet. I prefer the sitting toilet, but maybe the squat or fake toilet is more hygienic.
Hello James, quite interesting! Well, both kind of toilet seats are used in Pakistan, but most of the people prefer squat one. Naheed
Hello, Ana Paula. This is my first comment to you. During your period as a student blogger, I had not come to this site. But I have covered all of your blogs by now. Blogs between you and Alex made me laugh many times. I am always looking forward reading your comment too. I was glad to find your mention of Japanese. I am also in three-sisters, whereas I am the eldest. I do not mean to offend you butI have a feeling that you are my youngest sister. (Much much talented than the real one!!) I wish your sister should get better soon and all your family spend peaceful days together. PS: I like Holden too due to his good-looking description! Keep coming back!!!
Thank you Paul for providing this great opportunity! As for the house rules, we will definately bear that in mind:) Naheed
Hi, Anita, I'm a new blogger, because I have recently discovered the BBC's blog. I like very much to study English and it's a big oportunity for learning. On the other hand it's very nice to know people from all the world. I'm married and I have a daughter who is 15 years old. As you, my first priority is my family. I enjoy very much with my daughter. I'm 45 years old, studied Law at university, and now I 'm a civil servant. I'm looking forward to hearing you again. Sorry if my English is no so good!!!!!! I hope to improve it, reading and writing in this blog. Bye Mercè
My PC doesn´t work properly. At the end of my comment ewrything failed. So, welcome again, Leila! It is not so long since we wrote to each other entusiastically. The issue, the way you have articulate it and your English is briliant. I suppose our beloved Rachel would agree with me. You know I don´t travel enywhere so pictures of you cheered me up. I drove out on my cars over 2oo ooo km only going to work. But, it seems our countries share the same rapid and extreme weather changes. I try to submit this befor a new disaster will come to this thing. My comment to Stephen didn´t appear at all, so I am going to hope for this one.
Hi Anita, Your letter is interesting for me. I like your style of writing. Your English is very good. Write more about your life please. All the best.
Hi, Nice to meet you there. What is that nice picture which you attached with your latter? It looks great! All the best.
Hi Antonio, It is nice to meet you on BBC learning web site. You have some great news for us. For example, your FCE exam. Do not forget to tell us the result. I guess you will be glad when get the answer. Have you any photos with..ha-ha ..how it say... a smile? :) It could be very interesting to see you on photo like in the life. All the best.
Hi James! It is good you have put in one of your entertaining entry.I can´t imagine those cold springs. In my town there is only hot spring. However, you didn´t mention your teacher blogger Alex. Are you not curious about how he is doing? He had lost his home in that big London. It would be interesting to get to know wether he has found some cosy place yet, wouldn´t it? Maybe he is dweling at Lottie with her cat happily. Ask him you please, he may drop a line perhaps only among you, men!
Adriana Helena! As always you have send amazingly good blog to remember me of the nice days when autumn arrived to the country. And I want to say you now that I have admired your beautiful comment to Rachel where you described your feeling towards Jago. I have the scene befor my eyes! You are absolutely beautiful lady with the pefrect body if I could convice you and make you hapy about this fact would be nice. There are thousands thoughts flying in my mind as a dialogue with you which I am unable to put down instantly. I know my English is more or less on the same level I pay not enough time to grammar as usual. Maybe I reveal to you how my mum call me. Mari, she had to call very loudly as I was ever kneeling at book my ears shut. It has to be pronounced open with ful sound of ´r´ not as in english or french. The same I would pronounced Adri!
Hi Anna Pula, I hope Rosana gets better very soon. My niece's name is very similar to hers. It's Rosa, She's going to get married in two months but she's still my pretty Rose...Don't worry your pretty Rosana will be with you in no time...
it's great to hear from you again. I am happy that you had some quality time with your daughter while she came back home from UK. My son does not like to be taken pictures neither so he always make funny or silly face for the lense.Safe your journey and see you another time.goodbye
Dear Naheed! No one is more excited as I am to have this oportunity to see and communicate with you all again. Such a good feeling to read each of your wise sober sentences! Over three weeks since the end of december to the sixth of January I had been living as if in the land which some good witch had put on white wedding dress. It wasn´t snow but frost which changed each stalk of grass, needles and branches onto the most beautiful bride. It would have inspired you to draw or paint, never mind it would be midnight. Painting in my kitchen I have the TV set on. Lately I more or less watched or listened to the highly interesting programme about ancient Hindu tribes in Pakistan. They have been living there on the river boats and didn´t change their cultural traditions more than six thousadn years. Women don´t hide their heads have a high social position and are independent. They live calmly in peace and west scientists discovered this civilization only a couple of years befor milenium. I think of you with delight and often!
Hello Adri, it's really good to see your blog posts, I am feeling myself energetic. The videos are fantastic, and as I love sports I liked them very much. Oh, give Iago a kiss from me and ask him would he like to be my friend:). Naheed
Hi Ana Paula: I'm very happy because it's the first time that a blogger answer me. It's very amazing!!! Thanks for your words, I'll Keep visiting BBC LE to improve my English (that is no so good) I'm from Catalonia, in Spain. I live in the South of Catalonia, in a town named Tortosa, which is about 200 quilometres from Barcelona. My native language is catalan and, obviously, I also speak Spanish. Here in Spain, catalan is also an official language. On the other hand, I'm 45 years old, married and with a daughter who is 15. I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon. Mercè

Hi Anita: I have read your words and I'm very happy you are here again. I'm a new blogger because I have recently discovered the blog. I would like to meet people all over the world to know them, their way of life in different countries, and to improve English. I agree with you that my first priority is my family. I have a daughter, she is fifteen and we enjoy every minute together. But also, I have to work, but only in the morning, so I can stay with my family all the evenings. I'm from Spain and I love this country. I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon. Bye everyone, I hope to meet all of you and to know about your countries.
Hi Silvia, great photos, I enjoy them. Best Regards. James Hi Naheed, You stay happy too, It's a pleasure for me to read your blog. Best Regards. Wish you all the best in the world...
Hi Ana, Nice to read your Blog again. Engoy it. Best Regards James
Hello Adriana. first I'm sorry about your uncle's loss. I'm feeling very happy that you have reminded me despite the brief comment I sent to you when you were the student blogger. For me is not easy to write because of my shyness but I'm a good reader. So I can assure you that I'll read every single word you send in the blog. I wish you and all your family a belated happy new year. Read you soon.
Hello, Nahhed! It's great to have you back! There are no words to express the happiness I feel because you are here again, available for more of my comments. I hope I wouldn't bore you to death and if I actually would, you are so nice a girl that you wouldn't mind and tell, I'm just teasing you a bit 'cause we are together again. The way you wrote about the things in your blog indelibly imprinted on my mind so that I'll have memories of you forever. We had had snow here untill recently and I enjoyed as if I were a child. I threw myself into and onto the snow with my back to the ground and stayed lying there for a while and when I got up there was "a picture" or a print of my body in the snow. I've just realised how young you are because you are still a student. I think you are progressing very well with your studies, aren't you? I wanted to comment on the Jonathan's blogs since his explanations, pictures and descriptions are amazing, but I didn't think he would be gone so soon. Yours faithfully, Benka from Niš.

Hi dear Leila Happy holiday and happy new year 2008 .Nice to meet you again ! It sounds that you have started 2008 absolutely gorgeous with going to such a historical place .Could you see Mr "Sarkhozy" with her new Girlfriend ? I 'm really jealous of you ( just kidding ) And sorry as I have disturbed you with bad news about my country . I think that awkward unusual weather condition in my country and some other countries origin from global warming and pollution . And after having hot summers as a result we now encounter with cold and chilly weather .Please be in touch and send my hello to your other half and pretty Kati and bye
Silvia, this is my first blog. Iwant a gide line, how to write blog and what are the essential for a well blog. Please give me some information to be a good bloger.
Terve Leila, nice to read you again. Yes, here in Belgium the winters are not as they were few years ago. As I leave home quite early in the morning, before six, I can check everyday in more or less similar conditions. Last year, in my area, there were less than ten days below zero. Today for example the thermometer indicates eight degrees which is not really cold. Speaking about cold I have to say too that it is quite relative to people, countries and areas. Assuming than zero degree is zero degree everywhere we can say too that ten or fifteen degrees are also the same. I imagine then that if you have twelve degrees, in December, in your area you are going to tell me that it is not cold at all. Why then people in Spain wear coats, gloves, caps and scarves by twelve degrees too. What are they going to wear if one day the temperature comes down to minus ten? I think sometimes that the cold sensation is more psychological than real physical. Antonio
So long Silvia!!! It´s a pleasure to meet you, and I hope to see your comments here on the blogs. All the best for you and your family. Ana Paula.
Hi Silvia!!! What a wonderful subject you chose today :-). I´m really fons of Spanish films. a Brazilian singer called Caetano Veloso has sung a song in Talk to Her. I´m enjoying very much to read your blogs. Besides your English is very good :-). See you tomorrow, Ana Paula.
hey ANita, after reading all the stuff abt u ..i really eager to write down here.though my English is not good enough.but i dare to write something in this blog.bye for nw.
Hi, how about the music? I love Spanish guitar music so much, and hope to visit Spain myself. Is there anyone has the same idea?
Hello Silvia, thank you very much, you have done well. I looked always forward to your blogs, I enjoyed all the photos and the informations about Spain and the way of living there. Best wishes for you and your family Christine
Happy new year to everyone!! I am university student on first grade and I live alone now. Therefore, I backed home on new year holidays and spent time with my family. But, I had a bad cold on almost days. It was a little bad days. However, I was pleased to be able to refresh.
Hi Silvia, your latest speech is very interesting. Almodovar is one of my favourite directors, infact i saw his masterpiece 'Tutto su mia madre' hundred times. In italian language the title is quite similar to the original one, as you can see. I might tell to you that i keep every dialogue in my mind, but my memory doesn't work so good, i actually can read them, just because they have been published by the most important italian editor. One of my favourite italian movie is 'Nuovo Cinema Paradiso' directed by G. Tornatore. It won the Oscar prize too, but at the moment i don't remember which year happened. I like it a lot, just because the movie talks about cinema, telling the special emotions any movie can give us in his own magical atmosphere. the plot is set in time which there are no tv to get on every hour at home in. By the way it was funny writing on your blog. Bye by Bruno
Well, Silvia, sad to read your last blog will be tomorrow. By your writings I have been reintroduced in the Spanish culture again. Thanks for that. This period is one of the busiest for everybody at least those concerned with financial and accounts matters. Close the accounts, reopen them in the new year exercise, update figures, make reports, etc. That’s the main reason I haven’t been able to write more comments but I have appreciated the reading of your blogs as well as Jonathan’s ones. Thanks again and have a nice continuation in your career and life. Antonio.
Elche is a town, wihtout great traditions, because, its habitants, are from everywhere, its first influence is Murcia, that is close to Alicante (Elche belong to Alicante, people in Elche speak like Murcia people, wiht the same accent
Dear Silvia, Your description of “Nit de l’Albà” is very appealing. It is able to leave significant memory of your country and if we get an opportunity visit your country on August 13th, certainly we can enjoy it and it not necessary to ask other person about its background. Though I was not able to communicate with you in various aspects of your writing in proper time due to unavoidable circumstances, I enjoyed all your writing and photographs you put up.
Thank you Silvia. I have never heard about this celebration. It interests me to know the rigins of this fest because roots say many things about a nation.
Hi, everybody. Certainly time flies ....... What a pity!!!!!!! I'm from Spain but I hadn't heard about the "Nit de l'Albà" I think fireworks is a very nice performance, although sometimes it can be dangerous. The bloggers from Spain Know that here is very common to celebrate a lot of events with fireworks. Comunitat Valenciana is a place where people use it many times. Everybody Knows "Las Fallas". Going back the "Nit de l'Albà", I think it's very good and convenient to mantain the tradition and to show it to young people. Sorry if my english isn't so good. See you, Mercè
Silvia, sorry because I don´t have time for writing. I like it very much with your suggestions about Elche and your traditions. It have been more vivides. I have learn very much. See you and thanks.

Silvia I see you have been diligent with your writings, your entries are very informative. I also read that you had great time over the New Year. The pictures always help to get the mood. I loved your purple hair styles, they were very complementary!!! You may recall that I have been away to Egypt. We had a fantastic holiday; went snorkeling in the Red Sea, saw Cairo and pyramids, went to desert and I even had a ride on a camel. Now back to work as usual. Happy New Year to all.

Hi soyoung, this is byung-gun :) Nice to meet you in South-korea, additionally congratulation for becomeing blog winner. When I've logged in BBC, I was able to see someblogs. Whilst looking inside with feeling free, I glanced at and gaped at your neon sign pictures that you probably took them in front of Seoul city hall yesterday. I was freaked out, a little bit :), because I went there yesterday, and watched gigs, Arirang Radio, did you see it?. By the way, that's why I've read your words more, and could know who you are, and finally in your resolution section, I was able to understand your resolutions, learning guitar, yaga, reading more books, and then living with happness. I hope you become one of such people in this year, who do what he/she've wanted and taste feeling free. see you an Cheer up
Hi, happy new year and merry christmas to you Silvia and everyone in the blogs,i am new to this blog and really find its a great platform whereby those whose are not from english educated people to learn from each others.like me i am chinese educated and find iy difficult to communicate well especially in english and i had committed to write as many as possible in this blog, so bye for now.
In Italy smoking is banned into public places too. Is not smoking banned in England? :) The most favourite sweets on italian tables are "panettone"(A kind of sweet bread with raisins and little pieces of orange peel) and "torrone"(I guess is the same of your "turròn"). Oh.. the Christmas holidays are destructive for our healths ...but when Always I eat, there is a voice into my mind that says" is not matter, one day you'll bring out everything with sport and work activities". :) I hope that one day it will happen. bye... enjoy your holiday. I agree with Anastasija from Russia! Life is very short! Happy New Year!

Steve from mexico
Hi Silvia! I´m writing this comment to you at a lan house. My modem suddenly got mad and I can access the Internet at home. I´ll be without it for a fortnight, snif! :-) Anyway, I wish to you and all your family a wonderful 2008. May all your dreams come true. Good bye, Ana Paula.
After readen today report, i must tell you that Xmas time isn't so different in culture, social behaviours and food: we in Italy use to do as the same things as you do in Spain, but having a brief swimm onto sea. Only very very few people do it in celebrating new year on first of January. On this period a big trouble is the spread of illegal fires, selling at the corner of the street. It's a dangerous habit, for sellers who usually keep it in their own houses or garages, and for buyers who handle merchandise made without any guarantee for law. However i can see on your blog pics of paella, i'm very fond of it, but here i can't find it anywhere, so it's a big pain for me watching and no tasting it... But we've got lots of torrone, a sweet made mainly with almonds and honey as you know. Lot of Laughs :) Enjoy New Year's coming!! Bye Bye by Carlo
hello everybody, this is my first time here, I'm so happy to find sites like this and share whit people aroud the world. it is true that in christmas you became a little fat; but just a little, don't you? here in colombia our christmas are so happy and noisy, and of course we dance a lot. Good bye and I wish you a merry christmas and happy new year.
Dear Silvia, unfortunately my Christmas didn't is so wonderfull. My relatives don't have a good relationship and my mother has a deep depression. Generaly I preffer New Years Eve, because It's happier then Christmas. Where did you live ?
Hello all.Its a pleasure being part of you.I am appalled by what's going on in the Christian world today. In fact the real meaning of Christmas is gradually given way for winning and dining. I am not against those who wine and dine but much time should have been spent on reflecting on the importance this day marks on the life of a believer.Jesus came so that we may have life and life abundant. All the same Silvia I had a wonderfully time in Church both on the eve and Christmas day proper. It might sound funny as contrary to your views I still look forward to that day I'll fly in the clouds like birds I can only boast of travel by road, rail and water. 'Smoking may be dangerous to your health"That is the statement inscribed on cigarette packs despite this addicts still risk their life for it.I think that is a bold step on the part of the Spanish government worth congratulating. If other nations could follow suit then the world will sure be relief of lung related diseases and it reparcussions. Silvia I guess you forgot saying a word in Spanish.Remain Blessed
hello Silvia, you might have celebrated christmas well.I have one doubt what is the difference between "merry christmas" and "happy christmas".one more thing you said that-smoking is banned in spain, really it is a good thing to reduce pollution
To have a tightly-knit family is a blest thing, It's not so easy to be, even in such a traditional family-style Taiwan. Best Regards to your family.
hi, Silvia! I've read your entry with great curiosity. Guess what, in Poland we also jump over the bonfires but it's to celebrate the shortest night in the year on 22nd June. It's surprising that there are such similar customs in different countries! Happy New Year!
Hi, Silvia. I always enjoy your stories. They never fail to show your discretion and sincerity. Smoking is prohibited in public places here. However, compare to younger generation most of whom do not smoke from the first, older people can not give up smoking. Luckily I do not have a smoking person around me. Bye.
Dear Silvia! You can´t see readers´ comments now, but we may read and learn about you. For me, your English writing is very sophisticated, your work is unbelievable strenuous and complicated but the bright mediteranean personality. I take the hat off to you! It was a pleasure to read thoughtful sentences which I only had to agree with in your blogs. You have listed big painters in one of them and yes Spain has have lots of those giants of art we may admire. Wish all the best to you!
My Christmas wasn't happy. My relatives don't have a good relationship each other and my mother is sick. She has a deep depression. On the other hand, I have a wonderfull wife and a little boy that I love so much. Best regards;
i too was in chennai to attednd shaastra but first day was very boring. i participated in event called aesthetique.glad to meet you satya.shaastra 2007 was very interesting there was a seminar on "chandrayaan" india's first mission to send a spaceship to the moon.really it was very interesting
Hai silvia, first of all i want to rhank you for giving some valuable information about sapin and spanish traditions.though I am not christian, I also enjoy the richness of chiristmas.Every festival gives pleasure and joy to everyone regardless of their country, state and language.I am from India, the country which is having a lot of traditional values.I am very pleased to say that your story gives me a chance to recap all my christmas memories of my country and it also gives me an oppotunity to understand your spanish traditins.
Hi Satya! It's not fair for your readers to start with a story and when they are completely interested to know all the details about it, to simply stop writing and say good bye!...Ah! I understand...you do that for the sake of intriguing us...What a writer! And to do it even worse you tell us that you are leaving for your village for 4 days.... Doesn't matter because we are your first truly funs! Enjoy your 4-day holidays in your village ( you haven't told me the name of your village yet! I'm still waiting!) Best regards!
Hi Satya... What a packed bus that of the picture! Here in Argentina the bus driver would not allow people to travel like that, but we commute packed like sardines too! Trains, buses and subways are overcrowded at rush hours and if you drive your own car you will get stuck in a traffic jam.! Best regards!
