Vegitarian in Japan
Good morning everyone,
How are you today? I am good:) But yesterday I slept before blogging!! That's why I am writing now...In the morning, I wish it were saturday but it's still friday ;;
Just one more day to go for weekend, so now I have to cheer up myself!
Dear Amy, I thought I would answer the vocabulary which you gave me yesterday, but I will try it next time... There's no dictionary now and I thought it was not good to write wrong meanings here. Thank you for the photo of Ed in India gate!!! I also went there 3 years ago so it looked very familiar with me! Please tell my best regards to your family.
Back to my blog today, I would like to write about vegitarians in Japan.. I found it very difficult to be a vegitarian here, as we do not have any religious restriction. I have no Japanese friends who are vegitarian. Just some people do not like meat so they avoid eating it, but usually most of our main dish are fish or meat.
Yesterday I had a dinner with my work friends and thought about vegitarian here. I have never seen vegitarian menu in Japan, which I sometimes found in foreign countries, so it must be difficult to be vegitarian here. We have the areas that many people from overseas live, and I think you can get the vegitarian foods. I think you can get Haral foods in Tokyo as well, but honestly I am not sure where it is. Given the people from overseas are increasing nowadays, I think there are some shops or restaurants have the vegitarian foods. However, for Japanese, it is not popular.
I heard the news in the morning that tells the earthquake in Peru. I hope everything there is okay... That's it for now. Have a good day:)
Regards,
Yumi

Good night Yumy! It´s still Thursday here in Brazil. So, I hope your Friday is being very pleasent :-). Well, it´s very easy to be a vegeterian here. Even more you can find vegeterian products at supermarkets shelves, and there´s some restaurants specialized in this kind of food too. The number of people who are trying to have a balance diet is increasing every day, even though they still eat meat with moderation. On the other hand, there are many people who can´t leave the Sunday BBQ behind. It´s just like an addiction I think :-). See you soon, Ana Paula.
i like your entry very much but i don't understand what Vegitarian is. Could you tell some information about it. Love
hi! how is it going? do you ften have natural disasters? As far as I know you country is situated in the disaster-prone area, isn't it? btw, I work for a center of competence for disaster reduction =) It sounds so pompous, huh?
Hi Yumiko :-) It's nice to hear you are good, I'm sure you are. I'm good too (ssh! I don't want anybody to know about it, I pretend I'm bad). But how are you today? I'm well, I'm feeling well. Are you well too? I hope you are. All the best
Hi Yumi, While I was reading your entry, on the other hand I was thinking of my country and The province where I have been living. I hardly have seen anybody around me who is vegetarian.there are no restaurants ,which serve vegetarians food. as you see this is the matter of supply and demand we Turks like meat a lot. some believe that the people eating meat may be more intelligent than those not eating it. it is true or not! I have no idea. but I believe that we have magnificent body system (The whole organs). to eat a balanced diet, we need to have all kinds of food in the world. of course people are free to make their own chose... regards sevinç
How was your day? Yumiko!! In my opinion regarding to be the vegitarian seem like an individual thinking or unique thinking of norm in my country or another countries. Tradition in China posed a strong treat to Thai tradition is played the primary role when another festival will come like Trudjin,Sadjin-Chind in every year. That would be a lot of ancestors who immigranted from China to Thai were likely setting up in here for ages. Especially China food are being made people who live in Thailand to be fond of China cooking as well.Thus every China festival in Thailand is effected on Thai successor life. Yes of course,I pose the message rather formal today I think. But really I would like to practice writing and may hope you understanding in my posed. See you around.
Hi Yummy! Here in VN we don't see much vegetarians except for the monks. Our main dishes are meat, fish, vegs and the indispensable one - rice (our country is the world's rice exporter). I think your country has a very diverse cuisine and healthy eating habit :) Have a good time!
Hi Yummy! It's a pleasure to read your blog! In Russia you don't see many vegetarians, we eat quite a lot meat (maybe becouse of the cold winters:)?)But at the same time it isn't difficult to get a vegetarian food here both in the shops and in the restaurats (I mean in big cities)
Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
