Today is...
Dear Catherine,
Thank you so much for your blogs. I am very pleased to have you here as my teacher. You taught me many expressions and vacabulary and I gained lots of things about English. Please keep reading after you are back to your work as a BBC staff. I hope everything works best for you! - Best regards, Yumi.
Dear Amy,
It is my great pleasure that you are my teacher now. I am a lucky girl (*1) that I could meet 2 teachers here! Yes, I have been to Delhi once and was fascinated by her culture and architecture. I hope we exchange blogs and share our experience.
Now I'm talking about what was happened in Japan before 62 years.
Have you heard of Hiroshima? There had the atomic bomb explosion and about one hundred snd thousand(*2) people were dead. Today there(*3) had the ceremony at 8 am and prayed for the people who passed away.I visited there for my school trip in high school.
Hiroshima is very popular for shool trip because it is historical, such as atomic bomb museum or the dome which was burnt by the bomb. At the same time there has the famous shrine called 'Miyajima', which was built in the surface of the wave(*4). I mean this architecture was on the seashore.
It takes about 3 hours from Tokyo by express train called 'Shinkansen'. I think this is well-known to its shape, and it is really funny because you can see many people relaxing over alcohol or sleeping deeply in the confortable seats. It is very 'Japanese', I think! If you are a traveler from overseas, you can buy the discount ticket! It is worth visiting there :)

asterisks
*1: I often heard the phrase 'Lucky girl!'. Can you also use 'Lucky woman'? Also, how can I express it with full sentence?
*2: I would like to mention 100,000 people. Should I use 'one hundred and thousand of people'?
*3: Should I use 'it' to mention Hiroshima city?
*4: Could you please teach me the right and sophisticated expression??
Sorry that I ask you so many questions....
Good night everyone!
Yumiko

hello all people,God bless you,at that time,I am a learner of english and search a good people for chat, well have a nice day.
Dear Yumi, I've first heard about Hiroshima e Nagasaki at school when I've studied the second world war, this is how it is known in Europe the war which lasted between 1939 and 1945. I don't know if in Japan you call it with the same name. Tonight I will say a prayer. See you.
Hi!have a nice day. you're so lucky because you have a lot of journeys around the world...
Thank you for mentioning Hiroshima. Although I understand that here is not a place to discuss, everyone!, we must remember the nuclear threat all the time.
Hi Yumi. Sorry for writing so late at night but I'm returning from holidays and there is too much work to do. Sometimes I'm typing on my pocket at work and I have the desire to visit your blog but I just like to do that when I'm free and relaxed at home (today in special, after a football match following work). Do women usually play football in Japan or only men? So although it's too late, I couldn't be silent about this issue. I think this part of the history sensitize all us around the World. There is a brazilian poem called " A Rosa de Hiroshima" ( The Rose of Hiroshima") that is famous and a music based on this poem that are both pretty beautiful and also sad. I like them very much. The place where I live in Brazil doesn't have any japanese colony but it's not rare to see a japonese here who is always very kind. For this reason, Japan is a place that I would most like to visit one day in my life.
Hi Yumi, Hiroshima is sadly famous all over the world. I remember a special historical documentary I saw when I was at school. It shocked me. I've never beeen in Japan but certainly Hiroshima would be a special place to visit. Every year italian newspapers and TV newscast report the anniversary of the atomic attach. I think it's very important to mention these tragic historical events to prevent their loss in our memory. Read you soon, bye bye
Hi Yumi, I am very impressed of your blog. It has a smart way of asking, a brief and strong style of express as well. It’s for sure that you should be a smart girl. I have a “asterisk’ for you:” How do you pronounce 'Yumi'?”, Best Regards and take care.
Hi, Yumi! How are you? Thank you for replying me! I think almost every person in the world knows about Hiroshima and its victims. I hope such things won't happen again and we'll have peace all around the world.
hey!!! How's life been treating you? Do you like history? As for me, I love it.. and i agree with some politicians and historians that one without knowing his/her history at the present cannot know his/her future....Actually, our history classes focus on Hiroshima tragedy a lot. Atomic bomb is a powerful weapon and only limited, self-concsious and "well-experienced" powers should have it. Sometimes I even think that preamptive measures against Iran are justified... although, my major is diplomacy =) okey, dokey... that's it for now...take care and ttyl.
hi how are you thanks alot for your blogging i really enjoy reading about japonies who i ever adore them have you ever been to iran
Hi Yumi-san, I haven’t seen Itukushima shrine yet. But, How about this expression? ‘which was built on the surface of the wave as if it was the guardian of sea.’
Hi,Yumi. It's nearly 1am in the morning, but i am still awake.Yesterday, i have had a fierce feud with my mother and brother, and they are mad at my reaction.Because they wanted to know the reasons why i was unhappy. And i refused to tell anything, which irritated them extremely. In a word, everything is messy and tricky and become worse and worse. But i acted kinda of weird in their eyes.I feel embarrassed to tell you this, but i can't stop thinking over it.Maybe you have some tips for me.
Hi Yumi-san, thanks for your blogging. I found what you write about Hiroshima particularly interesing.
Hello, Yumi.I think i can understand your mean about "Miyajima",you said it was built on the surface of the wave. There are a lot of these bulidings in Chinses historical bulidings, especially in different gradens. We call that Xie(榭). It is bulit half in the water and half on the shore. There usually are beautiful rooves but no walls . We bulid balustrade at its sides. the top bulidings on the water is nearly same as the buliding which we call "Ting(亭)". "Ting(亭)" is a buliding with four pillars and several balstrades and a beautiful roof. There are also some other beautifl buildings ,like as "Tang(台)"、"Lang(廊)"、"Fang(舫)"、"Ge(阁)",and so on. I do not know whether i describe it clearly, if not ,i will try next time. lemon
